Hey man thanks for all the useful information. Have a request that I'm sure many people would appreciate. Can you make a basic maintenance video on the things we can do at home to keep our lectric running smooth. I've searched everywhere on TH-cam but it's very vague information here and there and not as specific as I know you would be. Thanks so much in advance! This was the first thing I did to my bike. Ordered the 16" wheel in black. You can not see it in daylight but at night it lights up like a Christmas tree. I think the 20" bike is the exact same size as the 16" wheel. I ended up with 3 spares. Each wheel takes 11 total. :)

Great camera angle showing the installation. I just put my black ones that are slightly shiny on my ebike with matte black rims. You really can't see them during the day, but they glow white when hit by the light.
I'm putting my extra pieces on my helmet!

Lol they do make a big difference depending on the way the light hits them. I don’t ride much at night but wanted these just in case.

Just got my XP Step Thru app a week ago. Seem to be a couple changes people may want to be aware of. Mine came with ChaoYang tires. They say max pressure is 20 PSI. Lectric says they can be safely pumped up to 25 PSI. My understanding is that they are shipped with both tires now. No "lock collar" on the handlebar like the earlier versions. There is a tab on a spring instead it seems. Very happy so far and your videos are a big help. Thanks.
You’re welcome and thanks for the update. The New style locking device on the handlebars is actually how the first versions were and at some point they switched to the lock color and then switch back maybe because of limited supply?
Thank you for this. The instructions don't guide you on the actual installation as far as where on the wheel to place the strips. They also don't actually say to overlap the strips except to say not to exceed 1/3". I have seen a couple of comments where the writers suggest overlapping them a bit so wind doesn't get under a leading edge to loosen any. Nice to see the strips will mount right in the middle of the rim. I'll use your parts and accessories links for suggestions like the repair stand.

Hi there! Just got my white XP Sat 8/28 and cutting everything off and dragging this heavy sucker together (I'm a short wimpy 55 yo sadly--not super granny or anything lol) totally exhausted me LOL however, today I managed to put my reflective strips on my bike (i got the dark blue) -- soooo cool!!!! Thanks for showing off your hard work and so glad you earned your 2 cents!!!! I guess you gotta put the battery in to get the wheels to turn... lol i'm read the manual now... couldn't turn the wheel by hand .. so weird!!!

@@jonasdean971 that's terrible, it looks like they are aggregating/collecting our funds and then ordering them overseas, then they get it, then send it to us. In effect were financing their bike orders ahead of time rather than actually having inventory. The time frame given is 3 weeks! I'm severely disappointed. While the amount charged to my account has already been done then I would have made payment to my account before I even get my bike. Smh.

It's Nov 29 & still not here! That's a running total of 54 days total just shy of 2 months! I'm severely disappointed.
The pre orders don't seem "pre ordered" at all. Looks like extremely late fulfillment!

THANKS FOR THE SUGGESTION I JUST ORDERED ONE FOR MY YAMEE 750S E BIKE IN BLUE. IM JUST CONCERN WHEN I HOSE OFF THE TIRES AFTER E BIKE RIDING IN THE WOODS WHERE I GO AT CUNNINGHAM PARK.
If they would cut them for a specific wheel size, application would be simple. A 20 in wheel vs. a 26 in wheel have different arcs.
The rims are actually 17" diameter. The 20" electric bike choice is just their way of getting you the right size

Hey Jeremiah and the rest of TH-cam! Would you guys say the step through is the more universal bike? I'm 6 ft but I believe the step through still the better option what are you guys think?
I don’t think you would go wrong with either bike being 6’.

Here's a thought; Either leave space between each strip, or alternate strip colors. This may give a "Flashing" appearance to your bike.

Checkout the "Make The One" 64 LED Wireless Turn Signal @ $19 Amazon. I ride in traffic and find it useful. USB rechargeable & RH Wireless Turn Fob. I like to keep both hands gripping XP narrow handlebars on bumpy streets.
On 11/10 - Check Alibaba's Singles Day (China 11/11 is a day ahead) for a 48V, 14AH Folding Bike Battery - they are quite common and fit the XP.
A Bigger Spare battery @ $ 220 is a nice option to have. Note batteries are Not Samsung like the XP pack.

Yes you should be able to, they have many different colors.

I’m not sure if you could add clips to the stock pedals but you can always change the pedals to the ones that have clips.

How long does it take for lectric to send the bike I’ve been waiting 2 weeks
I ordered mine on September 10th and received it on October 6..
Mine took almost two months but I ordered in the middle of the initial C-19 pandemic.
Update... I finally received my bike 2 days shy of 2 whole months later. The carrier shipper just dropped it outside my building just 3 steps from the parking lot! Even though I was home waiting for the doorbell to ring & that never rang. I found out it was delivered on my shipping App. Good thing because, anyone could've carried it away in minutes if I didn't find out about it through a notification on my phone! The shipper is so careless and didn't follow delivery instructions! All they had to do was trying the doorbell I would've opened the secure building door & let them in. Lazy careless people, cousins cost me my bike bring stolen by "package 📦 pirates" so those who live in insecure apartment buildings be warned that the shipping company doesn't give much care where they drop it off as long as they drop it off.
Have you received your bikes? I ordered mine this Christmas week so I’m not really expecting it to be here till late January,fingers crossed but we shall see.

Hey, Jeremiah I really like the rim reflectors, I ordered one for my lectric step thru in baby blue. I have also a red aerial rider bike like yours and i would like to order one for it as well. My question is, will the 20" fit the aerial rider rims? thanks
I don’t think they will fit the rideal but you can always contact them to see what size will fit.
How well did this stay on over time? I was going to get spoke lights, but in the end I bought a Vitilan U7 with mag wheels and am unsure if I can attach them.
They hold up great and still look like new.

Hello! I know this gonna be a stupid question but after I watched your review I bought step thru but!!! I think the bike is too tall for my height... do you think could I change the tire and wheel from 20” to 18” by any chance? And is it gonna less heavy? Thank you so so much
I don’t think it would be worth it and I don’t know if you could change the wheel size anyway. For all that I would probably just buy a different bike and sell that one or if you didn’t receive it yet just cancel the order and buy a smaller one. If you change the wheel size you would probably have to get a new motor because the motor is part of the wheel. Then you would have to make sure it works with the controller and battery and that just seems like it would be a big hassle. How tall are you?

Jeremiah Mcintosh well, I just bought a Lectric XP today. Love it already. I'm in Phoenix and their warehouse is a mile from my house. They have scratch and dents for sale for $200 off. I couldn't resist that so I pulled the trigger. I got one with zero miles on it.

Those little strips are way over priced. you can get rechargeable led bike wheel lights for the same price.

There cheaper strips on Amazon that do pretty much the same thing. Just a little different.
