May I suggest you install 4" wide x 26/29" liners in both tires as the tires are about as thick a condom or balloon. Been there, been flat w/a 1/8" thorn.!!! I also added Slime.. You'll just LOVE trying to remove the rear wheel from the frame and then reinstalling. I made a spreader from closet pole to install between the spokes and tap into place between the frame members, to relieve the tension on the rear wheel, then tap the pole free to remove the wheel..!! LOL! Also, be ready to realign the Derailleur. I installed a closet pole in the base of a weighted patio umbrella and then put the bike on top of the pole, into the bottom of the seat pipe.!! Works like a charm, allows me to hand pedal and make adjustments..
Thanks for your comments. I thought about adding the tire liners when I get my bike. I wasn’t sure if anyone even sold tire liners for 4 inch tires. Thank you for the tip on what to expect during the process. Maybe Jeremiah could make a TH-cam video on this topic.
@@sierradk Amazon....... In addition, the paper-thin tires are a hoot to remove.. LOL! While you don't need to remove the tire from the wheel to install the liner, you will need to remove the tire from the wheel to line the rim at the spoke nuts.. I used gaffer's tape...

Another great video idea. I have two suggestions for Lectric videos. 1} Show how to climb stairs with the Lectric in walk mode, and 2) show how to turn your Lectric upside down without damage and place it on a bench so you can pull the wheels off, or do other work on it. Thanks for doing all the other Lectric videos by the way. I have watched them all. I recently bought an action camera, and I am trying to learn how to use it so I, too can post some Lectric videos!
Great video tip; I can really use this as I'd like to keep the cruise speed between the 8mph I get with PAS 1 and 12mph at PAS2 when riding with friends who don't have electric bikes. One more thing: have you noticed that your odometer isn't accurate? My XP arrived in late September and I've put 100 miles on it - but the odometer reads only 75, I checked it out on a measured mile and with the Speedometer Plus app on my iPhone - both recorded the same results. Disappointing. Lectric used to have a P06 setting that would let the owner adjust the odometer, but as of September or so, they've locked out that setting so that it cannot be changed. If this bothers you, WRITE TO LECTRIC and complain! Rick in Las Cruces NM
Great videos ! Definitely valuable info! Helped me decide to get the Xp over some of the a lil more expensive choices . Just got mine yesterday! First thing i did was unlock to 28 mph, but i was most surprised that while giving full throttle and just slightly pedaling with no resistance ,just a leisurely cadence the bike was going 26 to 28 mph !! All the videos i saw everyone was huffing and puffing to get it up to 28 ,not mine , maybe i got a special one , either way ,i like it. Can’t wait til tommorrow to try cruise. I saw this video a couple weeks ago but could not remember how to cruise control ,glad to subscibe and fine your videos ,thanks !
Thank you! Yes you do not really need to put effort into the pedals to get up to 28 you just have to make sure they are turning. I’m usually out of breath because I’d like to get the exercise LOL
No problem the cruise control is an awesome feature to have especially if you’re like me and trying to record certain videos with your right hand On the camera and your left hand on the handlebars LOL.
I am hopefully ordering my XP 2.0 Black Step-Thru Lectric E Bike very soon, although I live in Michigan, and I am afraid it will not be delivered before Winter Snow Arrive, Then I will need Ski's instead of a front tire.
Bought a Shengmilo MX-01 with the same computer and the instructions are useless because of the Chinese to English translation. Your video has helped enormously because I could not work out how to use the Cruise. So Thank you.
Awesome wait till you see my next Lectric video on a cruise control feature that lets you go slower than Pas1 but still pedal! It is an awesome feature I figured out this weekend while I was out on the bike trail with my family.
Great video! I had heard about the cruise feature, but didn't know how to activate it. It appears that it is more of a fixed throttle position rather than actual cruise as we think of it in a car. It would probably depend on the charge of the battery too as to how well it holds the speed on an incline. Thanks again!
@@JeremiahMcintoshfantastic I'm expecting my lectric bike today or tomorrow, perfect timing to learn of this cruise control, which I will def be using often, I'll be making a review of my own and will be definitely mentioning your channel and everything I've learned from your experience, again thanks brother 🙏
Oh yeah I’m having so much fun it’s amazing how much I want to get out and ride this thing! Getting a lot of exercise that I would otherwise not get. How many miles have you been averaging per charge? I would love to have one of these bikes to do some comparison videos with mine.
@@JeremiahMcintosh The Ecotric has all that and more, it's a big bike (26", but it is really 28" when measured), now don't let 36v, 12ah scare ya, When I bought mine it was 858.50, but the price went up for Christmas to about 949. Thanks for the info! Cruise control is a great feature, and I wish my RadMini 4 had that. I usually just go full throttle mile after mile, but if I had cruise control, it would be nice to pick my speed and let it roll.

I tried it today going out to my deer stand and it works good on my bike (even pulling my trailer full of gear) . I'm order 4525 so I'd assume everything up to that number should have this functionality.
Nice!👍 what kind of trailer are you using! It should work on all bikes up to now. Hopefully Lectric doesn’t lock down this feature like they did some of the others!
Just got mine today (ordered in August, they’re definitely backlogged), can’t wait to figure everything out and get riding. Will definitely be checking out your vids, thanks! ✌️
I am pretty sure I found this by accident!! 😄 J K There is a glitch when you stop peddling the bike accelerates for a few seconds unless brake is pulled Usually when I turn around to look for traffic. Still the most fun I've had in years Love XP look forward to step thru!!
Great video Jeremiah, however... Are there any Ebikes pertaining to what I'm going to ask/say below??? I don't really want an Ebike with cruise control for the actual function of cruise control! I really want an Ebike that'll Shut Down the Electric aspect of the Pedal Assist Motor as soon as the Brakes have been Tapped, kinda like how a vehicle Goes Back into "Normal Mode" from Cruise Control Mode immediately once the Brakes have been lightly tapped!! I'm asking for the Safety aspect as a Female Senior Citizen who's almost 70, bcuz I really do want an Ebike mostly for the Inclines in my area, but I want 1 where the Electric Assist system will Shut Down Immediately once the Brakes are tapped and where the Ebike will Automatically turn back into the Manual Mode of a Regular manual/pedal bike!? I don't want to end up like Simon Cowell!!! Also, can I start an Ebike in Manual Mode without any Throttle and then when/if needed hit Pedal Assist so it turns into the Electric system of an Ebike?? I think your video shows that I can, but I'm not 100% sure?! I really hope I'm making sense here?? And I really look forward to hearing from you... Thanks for your video! Sincerely, Momma P From Sunny Kelowna BC Canada, aka Kelownafornia... Cheers!
Hey Momma P I understand your concern. almost all electric bicycles have motor cut off switches in the brake levers so that when you pull or tap the brake as you had mentioned the motor does shut down and as soon as you release the brakes it will reengage. And yes if you put any of the bikes in PAS 0 you could start out peddling like a regular bicycle with no electric motor and once you’re ready you can then bump it up to PAS 1 and start using the motor and throttle. keep in mind though when you have it set to PAS 0 on most bikes the throttle will not work the throttle only works when PAS is set to one of the levels one through five. I hope this answers your questions
Awwwe, thank you sooo much Jeremiah for addressing all of my concerns! You just made me feel a whole lot more comfortable about getting an Ebike. With human bones getting softer the older we get, I didn't and I don't want to take any chances of crashing etc and breaking any bones. Already broke my back in 2017 playing with my Grandbabes and inspite of having surgery, it takes far too long to heal! But I feel great now and I've always loved bike riding, it's sooo freeing... If I don't get an Ebike this year, (kinda late in the season now) I will get one next year and I'll definitely let you know how it goes, especially now that you've given me some excellent tips that have eased my fears... Keep well and keep safe Jeremiah!
So, this cruise control works the same for all electric bikes. I have the scootstar rockstar electric bike, and the thumb throttle is on the left, and how long do I hold the - button while the throttle is going.
Could you please make a video that shows how to set the cruise control and go a little slower and a little more precise with your camera work thank you Good
Do you know how to set yours for it to pull off quicker and with more power when using throttle mate, just had one , first ride today just thought it would have a bit more poke pulling off, is it possible to change any settings mate, thanks
My Sohoo ebike has the same controller. Should I also be able to set it to cruise control? Or is this only an Lectric XP bike function? Thank you... I learn a lot from your videos.
Do you know if lectric Is going to come out with a suspension front in to fit the older bikes. Would be a huge help just to be able to order the front and and everything is needed to do the job.
I’m only 5’8” but there is plenty of room for adjustment I believe a 6 foot person could ride this with no problems. I’ve seen a few other videos where they were 6’ and didn’t have any issues with riding this bike.
I have a bike with an LCD 8H display and the cruise control works by holding the down button while in pedal assist or throttling. The cruise control will disengage if I pedal for more than 5 seconds. However, mine maintains speed by varying power output. It appears as if the computer on the lectric display maintains power output and just let's speed vary based on incline or wind. Dows anyone know if the Xpremium maintains the same cruise control function?
After cruise is set when you start pedaling it will go the speed of whatever pas level you are in but when you stop pedaling it will resume your set speed. There is a workaround tho that I show in this video. th-cam.com/video/APsrwWlqtyQ/w-d-xo.html
Hello Jeremiah! I have a problem with my Lectrix Ebike! Yesterday when I turned on the power ! The mode showed at the bottom with E 0007 blinking . I knew something is wrong but I don’t know how to fix it ! I could not PAS except just bike manually! Press the button several times and it didn’t work but I could shut off the mode.
E 0007 is motor breakdown. I’ll bet its a loose connection on the motor wire. The connection is about 6 inches from where it goes into the back wheel. Make sure it is plugged in together all the way.
All the links for everything including the phone mount are in my accessories video here. Lectric Xp E-Bike Accessories! Suspension Seat post and Cloud 9 seat upgrade comparison! th-cam.com/video/3co2mgK-rLU/w-d-xo.html
Was looking at so many ebikes. I liked the looks of the sleek and sexy Aventon but you must peddle before using the throttle from a dead stop! All the others had at least one thing I was concerned about which leads me back to the XP. Anyone have thoughts on the Wallke X3? 26" wheels/foldable
What happens if you get a flat tire going that speed does the tires go flat right away or do you just fall off and be very hurt I just got my bike and I’m a little afraid of it I know how to ride a regular bike but this seems to be a whole different ball game I am 75 years old I am a little nervous but I bought this to get around campgrounds or say don’t tell a car thank you
It probably depends on how big of a blowout you have if you get a little pinhole it would probably go flat slowly but to be honest I’m not sure because I’ve never had a flat yet.
Great videos man! Hey I can’t make up my mind. With the XP and step thru. If height is not an issue. Which one would to recommend? Step thru looks comfy but XP looks cooler haha
@@JeremiahMcintosh typo, meant to say XP looks cooler* thanks for the quick response! I enjoy all your videos! Thanks man 👍🏼 even longer rides both step thru isn’t more comfy? I’m assume sitting position and arms/hands to handlebar pretty much the same? Step thru is just easier to get on obviously.

Nice!👍 what kind of trailer are you using! It should work on all bikes up to now. Hopefully Lectric doesn’t lock down this feature like they did some of the others!
Thank you so much for this!
Thanks for your informative Video
thank you so much for this information !!!! helped me with my bike!!! sub'd!!
No problem I’m glad you found it helpful! Thanks!
Great video. Well done! Just got my XP and can’t wait to get out on it. Crappy weather now. Good tip on the cruise control.
Just got mine today (ordered in August, they’re definitely backlogged), can’t wait to figure everything out and get riding. Will definitely be checking out your vids, thanks! ✌️
I love this! Awesome bike and concept. Back up and alternative transportation with a turbo fun factor.
Agreed! Definitely a fun bike!
I am pretty sure I found this by accident!! 😄 J K
There is a glitch when you stop peddling the bike accelerates for a few seconds unless brake is pulled
Usually when I turn around to look for traffic.
Still the most fun I've had in years
Love XP look forward to step thru!!
As a senior citizen (70) my goal is Hopefully Excercise with the PAS modes
Great info and video as I am awaiting the shipment of my XP in white!
No problem Karl! Your gonna love it!
I would have like to know what gears you were in going 5 mph... 😊
If you had the choice between this one or the step thru...which one would you buy?
Hmm that’s a tough question they are both great bikes.
I'm curious what spoke tension meter people are using for this rear wheel..??? Anything with a large meter attached (VXM) will not work...
how do you make it differenciate from walk mode and cruise mode?
Thanks
Welcome!
Very good informative video - enjoyed watching...
Sincerely,
Momma P

No this does not work the same for all bikes.
Could you please make a video that shows how to set the cruise control and go a little slower and a little more precise with your camera work thank you Good
thank you will help me decide
This is cool...thanks :)
Has anyone trsted this on xp 2.0? It has + and - buttons than arrows.
Great video, going to try it on my MX02 later. Do you get many punctures with fat tyres?
I haven’t had any yet!
Do you know how to set yours for it to pull off quicker and with more power when using throttle mate, just had one , first ride today just thought it would have a bit more poke pulling off, is it possible to change any settings mate, thanks
On flat surfaces, at what gear are you in usually?
Normally on flat I’m in pas 1 or 2 and 6th or 7th gear however there’s not much flat where I’m at there are a lot of hills!
Ya, very cool thanks!
No problem!
Very helpful. Thank you
No problem I’m glad you found it helpful!
My Sohoo ebike has the same controller. Should I also be able to set it to cruise control? Or is this only an Lectric XP bike function? Thank you... I learn a lot from your videos.
You can try but it may not work depending on how your controller was programmed. Let us know if you try it what the results we’re.
@@JeremiahMcintosh Sounds good, I will try it out later today and let you know.
Do you know if lectric Is going to come out with a suspension front in to fit the older bikes. Would be a huge help just to be able to order the front and and everything is needed to do the job.
How tall are you? Would someone 6 foot plus be able ride this confortably? Thanks
I’m only 5’8” but there is plenty of room for adjustment I believe a 6 foot person could ride this with no problems. I’ve seen a few other videos where they were 6’ and didn’t have any issues with riding this bike.
If I have a normal Electric cycle and I want to add a cruise control system in it. How can I do it?
Just got mine to thanks great find I am going to have more fun now cuz of u thanks :D
Does anyone know had to make it pull of quicker and more powerful when using the throttle to get going, thanks
Dows anyone know if the Xpremium maintains the same cruise control function?
can you set cruise then pedal and maintain cruise speed?
After cruise is set when you start pedaling it will go the speed of whatever pas level you are in but when you stop pedaling it will resume your set speed. There is a workaround tho that I show in this video. th-cam.com/video/APsrwWlqtyQ/w-d-xo.html
Can you put in a link for your GoPro holder (Clamp) Thx
Awesome demonstration
Thank you!
Jeremiah Mcintosh thank you for your help and I’ll look into that ! 🙏
I am not sure how Shimono gears selection work with the PAS modes??
Just use them as you would a regular bike. Whatever feels comfortable.
What phone mount is that under the display? Thanks for the review!
All the links for everything including the phone mount are in my accessories video here.

Nice bro thx
What happens if you get a flat tire going that speed does the tires go flat right away or do you just fall off and be very hurt I just got my bike and I’m a little afraid of it I know how to ride a regular bike but this seems to be a whole different ball game I am 75 years old I am a little nervous but I bought this to get around campgrounds or say don’t tell a car thank you
It probably depends on how big of a blowout you have if you get a little pinhole it would probably go flat slowly but to be honest I’m not sure because I’ve never had a flat yet.
Thanks, I subscribed, I have three of them don't like to ride alone. love my bikes
That’s awesome!! I might buy another in the spring depending on what model comes out next! Happy Riding!
Thanks for the info!🙏
Great videos man! Hey I can’t make up my mind. With the XP and step thru. If height is not an issue. Which one would to recommend? Step thru looks comfy but XP looks cooler haha
They are both great bikes so if height is no issue the go with whatever one you like better.
