    Best exclamation. Makes a lot of sense to auto tune over each session so it gets better

    When you add target tune, you will receive a new tune via email to enable it through Powervision, correct?

    I have a sportster build and have been tuning without adjusting the min map. I'll run it tomorrow with 5k less tomorrow. Thanks for the video! I'll get the target tune next but have to get the 18mm bungs installed in my short shots.

    6:30. “You can do these sessions on different days, just make sure to flash your NON AUTO TUNED map. Don’t just disable auto tune.”
    I don’t understand. What do you mean? What will happen?

    I just put the system on my 2017 SGS with stage 2. Dynojet sent me a tune for the cam, pipes, and intake that i installed. It works great and i did a few auto tunes to dial it in for the stock O2 sensors. I put the wideband kit in yesterday and went back to the base tune then started auto tune all over. I have 2 rides in at about an hour each but i noticed that it turned off the closed loop when i went into auto tune. Do i finish auto then turn closed loop back on or leave it off?

    Great video and thanks for posting. Quick question: I'm not sure I'm clear when you say be sure to "flash your non-auto tune map" at the 6:34 mark. My understanding is you'll have the original map and and then an auto tune copy. I would think you'd want to do the remaining two (out of all three) sessions agains the auto tune copy and not the original. Is that right?

    • @FuelMotoUSAWI
      @FuelMotoUSAWI  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The example was given in the scenario where you have performed one or two auto tuning sessions, you are ready to go for a third auto tune session as you have enabled auto tune on your latest auto tune created fuel map, however you instead want to go out for a long ride and not auto tune your motorcycle. Simply flash back into your ECM the latest fuel map exported through the auto tune process and you will be ready to ride. Don't hesitate to contact our technicians for further assistance.

      Fuel Moto - I also have a question(s) at the same point (6:34) in the vid.
      So why do you have to “flash a non auto map” after turning off Auto Tune? Doesn’t it just default back to your latest downloaded tune? What is a “non auto tune map? Great vid. Keep’em coming😉👍

    @FuelMoto So if you have the powervision and the Target Tune, do you still recommend doing auto-tune sessions? Or is that basically negating the function of the Target Tune?

    • @Steve-qn8gn
      @Steve-qn8gn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would still want to autotune, in the screen to select the sensor type you’d just select target tune. Plus you have to be starting with a target tune map, if you buy from fm they supply them for your config. I have read that there is something not right about the way auto tune works with target tune but I don’t know enough to really explain it. May want to research before embarking on that journey.

    Awesome video! Very useful. I'm planning to start basic autotune session for my 2016 VRSCDX. When you say be sure to flash your non autotune map after each autotune session, I don't understand, it would make more sense to flash to new learn values each time? Or do you mean I must wait after these 3 autotune session and then flash the all learned values? I don't get this step of the process..

    Great video. I have a 2010 Dyna and just installed 583 easy start cams, thunderheader and S&S stealth air cleaner. I ran Autotune basic 8 times driving all different roads. Wow what a difference. My question is the idle is set to 1k but the engine can't hold idle and stalls. I need to gently hold the throttle so it idles. Other than that she pulls hard. What should I do? Add more fuel to the low range in quick tune? I appreciate any help.

      Sam D you can go program Vehicle then hit quick tune and adjust your idle up 50 rpm at a time all the way too 2000 etc. fixed easy as that don’t forget to refjash after ur adjustment , done mine tonight . Was stalling on me , after I ran auto tune, I only had to add 100 rpm to fix the issue

    Hi.
    Great video, absolutely great help. I own a PV for my 2012 FLTRXSE CVO.
    If you allow me to ask 2 questions, for my specific case:
    1) when you're doing an Autotune session and have to stop your bike for some reason (get more gas, police, heat, etc...), what do you do before turning the ignition off, but still want to continue with the AT process afterwards?
    2) i went from an 19'' front wheel to a 23'' one, so, what would be the advised Speedometer calibration value to have?
    Thank you so much and please keep on doing a great job.

    • @hdlstns
      @hdlstns 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have probably already figured this out, but- the Autotune will continue to run after you have turned the bike off and back on. It’s like “pause” on a video game.
      2) the speedo is based on flashes from the transmission sensor, so as long as the rear wheel+tire diameter did not change (it shouldn’t have) your Speedo setting should not need adjustment.

    So when in auto tune basic, you ride say 20 minutes, come home then what, does power vision take off from where u left off from first ride. Or do I turn it back on and just start over with hopefully the last rides Info / tune. I understand the first ride when done use ur 1st ride info to flash ur tune but multiple rides ?? What does PV save ur info for each ride then flash it ????

      You can go two ways, buy powervision and get autotune pro with wideband o2 sensors. Or just buy powervision and take it to a professional dyno to set you up. Buying a powervision with out a way of reading AFR through the exhaust would be just guessing and not effective. The powervision on it's own would only give you a canned basic tune to download.

    Everything falls apart when you're at the end of a autotuned/target tune session. You turn the bike off and now what... there are NO PRECISE instructions. I watched the videos and when I got to the point where I exit the datalog screen, it all goes to hell because What I see on my Power Vision is not what I see in the video. Instead of building on then previous session it wants to write the session learned to the ECM.. WHAT IS NEEDED is a precise second by second sequence of key presses and what exactly is happening between and after each key stroke. I have no idea whether I'm adding information, over writing information, storing information. When I do the disable autotuned/ enable auto tune it wants to write to the ECU... what gives?

      I often here that comment from a so called professional tech. My tuner has already saved me thousands. $508 is what a harley dealer charged me for a tune and dyno run, ( no parts installed). Most tech will just pull a Map from there library of tunes then charge the full service price. I've installed cams, heads, exhaust and air cleaner on all separate occasions of which would have cost me nearly 3k through a tech shop. So yeah 400 for the tuner and another 400 for the target tune, I'll take that anyday vs a shady ass tech who runs generic map and charges full price.
