Thanks for your video, Chris. I've watched quite a few about the PCV and WB2 recently and I'd like to say that your video is quite comprehensive, you explain it really well. Many thanks.
Thanks Chris D. Great video, I used your advice to tune a 2006 Suzuki LTR-450 with many upgrades and it solved all my issues. It is running much better than it did stock. I'm surprised that Dyno Jet doesn't make how to videos for the Power Commander 5 and Auto tune. Thanks again.
Thanks, with the previous help of my wonderful mechanic and your video, I was able to perform a few successful tunes with my Power Commander V and Auto Tuner! Running good!
Thanks alot,,, im a total newb to FI tuning and thought auto tune would Hijack my custom Overfueled maps( Yup im one of those guys who loves the crackle/ Pop n flame action!! Cause the maps too rich... Well now that i have a minute idea Auto tune it is... No more arguing with my local dyno tuners...Thanks again...
Ooo cool. Thanks for the tips! I have never owned a Power Commander, but plan on installing this and the Auto Tuner on a couple of my bikes...or a few once I acquire a couple more. I like that you can switch it to that desired map on the fly just before your ride.
Thanks a lot for the video, you made it simple to understand such a programing thing. I just would like to know what steps we need to follow when the PCV comes pre setup from factory ( there are shop offering this option nowadays) I gave them my exhaust and K&N HP air filter specifications and they set up the dynojet at shop. it will be just plug and play? It is necessary to perform any evaluation with the software? It will require to buy the autotune ? Thanks for your time in this questions
Thanks for the video! My only question is; what makes you choose 13.2 and 12.9? How would I know what number is good for my bike? I was searching for this video because they don't have a power commander tune that perfectly fits my loadout :(
My husband wants you to get in touch with him because he has a 2015 outlander 800 with a looney tuned slip on. Can you send him your map as he noticed you have the same set up. Let me know how he can get in touch with you. Thanks!
just got my 2nd new bike 6 days ago and had yamaha put on baker exhaust and pc5 and had their guy supposedly tune on dyno bike now only 81 my stock 2017 that got stolen was stock and doing 85.7mph this mechanic races down here is he the problem or does the pc5 not control fuel and air intake
Hello brother, I have a suzuki gsxr 1000 2009 and I am urging the pawer comander 5 of dino jet and I do not get rpm reading to put tuniar? , what could you be. I would appreciate your help. thanks
so I'm going to need a laptop I take it you can't tune it on your phone ..it's 2020.. ..because my bmw s1000rr 18 model is jerky at low rpm from 1.5 to 4 thousand rpm. love the bike really want to make it smoother I've been told not to get ecu flashed because that's just one tune and I might not like it. I've got to understand. that I can buy the power comander seperate from the auto tune or have both. boxes . what do you think I should do . I'd like to ride another s1000rr to see if it's like my compleatly stock bike. I want it comuter frendly. I've had a few different reactions saying that a power comander won't do it cause ultimately I'm de turning it ..it's not for detuneing.
once you get the maps you want set up, can you remove the autotune and still have those maps logged? I do alot of water and mud riding and im sure that isnt great for the o2 sensors. Or are they ok to be submerged? I currently have the pc5 with a base map loaded. I just think i could more power out of it, if i was to run the auto tune.
I have a 2008 Kawasaki zx14 that is all stock. I recently bought a pcv. I put the stock air filter and stock exhaust map on. I also did the firmware update. At any speed, gear, throttle position. My 14 sputters. Today she died on me when I am stopped and is difficult to get running again. Any advice on tweaking or making a fuel map? I mainly would like to have a eco map so I can go on long distances but still have the passing power. Like to get 40s mpg? I have called dynajet and they are no help.
Please do not do any mechanic work yourself. The time to fully understand and apply to real life would take longer and cost more than for you to just take it to someone who already knows how to tune.
so after you have the bike running for 60 seconds to wait for the auto tune light to come on, can you unplug your laptop and ride around for whatever time and it still auto tune?
At the top of your screen where it shows map cylinder 1 gear 1 etc. mine is showing all together cylinder1,2,3,4 and gear 1,2,3,4,5,6. I don’t have them one gear at a time. How do I separate by gears?
Hello, i have Autotune on a Yamaha t-Max 2015, it has a lot of zero’s in the target AFR. From 0 until 40 procent trottle. Can i change them into 13,0/13,2? Or is it because of the automatic gear from the TMax that it is hass so much zero’s?
What if your laptop says "no device connected" after you plugged the USB cable to the power commander? No connection is made with or without the bike being on.
Hi. I get an issue in separating the target trims for each cylinder. On the left side your pc5screen is showing from top to bottom : DeviceNetwork/Map position 1/Primary module/Autotune/ cylinder 1 'Fuel' / 'trim' and for cylinder 2 Fuel/trim/Target AFR. However, my Pc5 screen is showing below Prim. module : Autotune/Target AFR/Trim/cylinder 1/Fuel,cylinder 2 /Fuel,cylinder 3/ Fuel.So my screen doesn't separate each cylinder with mentioned trims ( my bike triumph Rlll) One million $ question now is : how can I get your layout on my screen ? Each header has its own bung, I just have to swap the sensor from one to the next for the trimming. Tnx for your response !
Hi just received toggle switch, question how do i know on the toggle itself witch is assigned to map post 1 or map position 2 if i forget i mean top of switch down is what position, i?????
I have a 2013 Polaris 800s I just installed a Power Commander 5 it the Razor does not have O2 sensors how do I set my AFR and my auto tune light well not come on at all
If I understand this correctly the Auto Tuner will create a table that still needs to be applied to fuel maps, or does it automatically make a change? why would you not just leave it in auto tune to tinker with the fuel map all the time? I think maybe I missed something...
I have a 2005 Honda VTX 1800R . With a hypercharger and Cobra pipes and I need a power commander to adjust my fuel ratio but I don't know how to set it right
I have a 2018 Honda CBR650F. The carburetor trumpets are restricted on this model so if unrestricted, does the power commander have the option for this mod?
Okay, so first you create this maps on the pc and save/send them to the PCV and then what? do you take the PCV and install it on your Bike? i'm not sure i follow. Do i install it on my bike and need my PC to be able to read the performance on the tables? I am a bit lost. Please help. -I have power commander and i have already created the maps at 13.2. here at home. - now what? do i go to my 2015 street bob and install the power commander? -Then what? Sorry if this questions sound stupid.
So a pcv itself won't be able to do these adjustments a pcv autotuner is needed right?i already own a pcv and about to purchase a windows laptop to do this just need to know if I'm missing something to do adjustments like these
Hey I'm wondering, I hear all this talk about getting different maps for the PWV. I have a turbo'd sled with a reflashed ECU for the turbo. Great in theory but just doesn't work. So if I get a PCV will it download the map on my ecu and how is that done.
To be honest, you shouldn't of over flashed the original ecu and just bought the PCV in the first place. Because the ecu will never change unless you pay someone to to change it. Luckily for you, the PCV shouldn't take notes from the ecu and run itself properly
excellent vid. question, is it safe to change my current map with higher numbers to increase power? some of my values are negative, which is cutting power. I can show you the map if needed. thanks
I just got a Power Commander V on my bike yesterday but there are no provided maps for my upgrades so tryinbg to figure out a way to autotune from the closest one I found.......
I am all sorts of confused I don't know if I'm overthinking everything or if it's a lot simpler than I'm thinking it is. Like I don't even know where to start
All just afr (air fuel ratio) for the rpm that the engine is running at, and the amount of throttle that it's running at. The only thing this doesn't do, is timing which would complicate things a bit more
Get a better bike, if it's a 600cc or bigger street bike, go buy a Tiny 250-500cc motard or a Yamaha Zumba w/80+ mpg... Lol. Same with a turbo'd harley.
I have a question can you do a video or can you explain how to zero out the fuel map.i just got my ECU flash and was told to zero out the fuel map or remove the pcv.can you help me with that.
Is there any way to lower rpm by powercomander on my yamaha xv1900 roadliner? I have upload maps from powercomander web page it's work nice with new exhaust but I would like take the rpm a little bit down on idle. Any idea how?
Hi. When I connect the PC V to the computer I can get map from PC V but I don't see any numbers. Just green pass under RPM and Throttle, and nothing below it at the right.side, even after starting the engine. Any reason why? Thanks.
Hi I had installed toggle switch and inserted 1 wire to Input 1 and Another wire to Input 1 ground but when iam toggling the switch the map is not changing from Map 1 to Map 2 , Kindly suggest
At 1:31 on the video you show numbers in the 0% throttle all the way down to 7000rpm, are you saying you used the autotune for this column or are these numbers from a dyno tune output map? Good video by the way, very helpful and mostly covered the main things that need to be used.

You have to know where his PCFC is hidden to sneak a screwdriver in and click it onto one of his run maps...we use it especially if we are going to be away from the machines for a while!
So I’ve installed the power commander fuel injection module, can anyone tell me why the afr is not showing or the table with the yellow box? The Pcv is installed correctly, however, the rpms show on the right side but does nothing on the left side.
That explains the toggle switch on my ltr 450 I don’t know shit about this I’m trying too learn so can I just download the software on my laptop I don’t have a cd or anything but I do have the pc5 and auto tuner
+CHRIS D Thanks for the reply! One more question, if you download a map from powercommander.com that does not work so good, will AutoTune be able to change that map too? like making even greater changes which are needed?
I got my pc5 and installed it from VForce John. He sent me your video and I'm learning. My issue is I was messing with it and don't know what I did but I'm running on one cylinder now and it pops. Can I clear the map and install the one which I did save from the pc5 before screwing up. By way I ordered the autotune just now.
Thanks for your video, Chris.
I've watched quite a few about the PCV and WB2 recently and I'd like to say that your video is quite comprehensive, you explain it really well.

fantastic video! This is what dynojet needed to post for users.
Thanks, with the previous help of my wonderful mechanic and your video, I was able to perform a few successful tunes with my Power Commander V and Auto Tuner! Running good!
Chris Cox My pleasure Chris. I'm glad it helped.
Wow, possibly the worst how to video ever, i realize he is trying to help, but some people just cant teach he's one of them
Thanks alot,,, im a total newb to FI tuning and thought auto tune would Hijack my custom Overfueled maps( Yup im one of those guys who loves the crackle/ Pop n flame action!! Installed PC 5 on my WR250R tonight. This was a great video to get some basic understanding of how it all works.
Thank you Chris D!!! Very well explained and informative, just what I was looking for. Appreciate you taking your time to post this.
My pleasure. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks man. Much appreceiated. Still a dummy though and a bit scared. Seems dauntingly overwhelming and i want one.
Did you get one? How did it go?
I know you keep saying you're just learning it too, but that was well done, thank you.
Thanks, a useful supplement to an otherwise underwhelming instruction manual from dynojet 👍

Great video, good visuals and vocal description. I may have to invest in the Power commander for my MT-07!
Make sure you connect the red wire to a 12v power source(brakelight wire is good) and the black wire to a ground(negative battery terminal is good).
Thanks for the video!
My only question is; what makes you choose 13.2 and 12.9? How would I know what number is good for my bike?
I was searching for this video because they don't have a power commander tune that perfectly fits my loadout :(
13.2 burns the fuel perfectly on any engine, I think 12.9 was to run it Richer a guess for racing maybe?
Autotune has optimized preloaded a/f values, just keep them unless you have enough knowledge to mess with them
Is this auto tune you speak of this is the auto tune add on for the PCV?
My husband wants you to get in touch with him because he has a 2015 outlander 800 with a looney tuned slip on. Can you send him your map as he noticed you have the same set up. Let me know how he can get in touch with you. Thanks!
How was the throttle response after the tune? Did it get quicker or stay the same?
How did your Fuel adjustment get over 15? I get limited there
can a 2k-200rpm surge in my XTZ1200 be tuned out with a power commander V. It sucks at slow technical speed in first
just got my 2nd new bike 6 days ago and had yamaha put on baker exhaust and pc5 and had their guy supposedly tune on dyno bike now only 81 my stock 2017 that got stolen was stock and doing 85.7mph this mechanic races down here is he the problem or does the pc5 not control fuel and air intake

So if I understand correctly, you tune to a certain AFR. Correct? But how do you know what AFR you need?
12.9 is the target

is the cyl 2 always rear, atv and on motorcycles ??
I've had pwr commander v for a few years now. I never knew there was auto tune feature.
Thanks!

I need help with my ignition timing how can I safely make small adjustments to get more power
This is only a fuel controller
this only compensates fuel, the rest is handled to keep the bike safe by the stock ecu
whats the lowest/safest afr that you should go..... the lower the safer the bike will be right?
Please do not do any mechanic work yourself. The time to fully understand and apply to real life would take longer and cost more than for you to just take it to someone who already knows how to tune.

This chip allows you to make curves in your fuel injection. Some want to curve for speed and others need more torque for 2nd riders and towing.
If I understand this correctly the Auto Tuner will create a table that still needs to be applied to fuel maps, or does it automatically make a change? why would you not just leave it in auto tune to tinker with the fuel map all the time? I think maybe I missed something...
thank you Chris you're a GOD.
I have a 2005 Honda VTX 1800R . With a hypercharger and Cobra pipes and I need a power commander to adjust my fuel ratio but I don't know how to set it right
How do you get all the gauges on the right side of the screen ? Mine only has throttle and rpm. I want afr and duty
can it also set other parameters, like the low gear restrictions?
I have a 2018 Honda CBR650F. The carburetor trumpets are restricted on this model so if unrestricted, does the power commander have the option
for this mod?

don't you have to purchase the auto tuner along with the PCV to use the auto tune feature?
Yes
You're awesome man......THANK YOU!
So a pcv itself won't be able to do these adjustments a pcv autotuner is needed right?i already own a pcv and about to purchase a windows laptop to do this just need to know if I'm missing something to do adjustments like these

Save map will also save an altered or customed map from your pc or powercommander v5

Great vid
Good work thanks
Save map does not save from the power commander to the computer. It saves the map you have loaded back to the computer.

Thanks.
Hey Christ, awesome video.. but where i know what my AFR is? :D
Does it forget / zero the trims if you turn the bike off/on ?
I haven't owned a PC in 8 years! This is 2016 and no MAC version. :(
YO CycleCruza!! Thanks for making all the videos on beginner rider videos. I'm about to get a 2013 cbr250r.
Daniyal S. Nice!
Pc master race
Hey
MAC's are Garbage and don't deserve Power commanders time in making software for them... How Many MAC users ride anyway?
power commander 5. Start the autotune without a probe? I connected the engine temperature and speed. Yamaha raptor 700
what do u think of gunson tuners?
So it assumes stoichiometric of 14.7:1? Can you change that? (If you buy e10)
what are those numbers between throttle and rpm
Any idea why I can’t select 2 O2 sensors
Hi I had installed toggle switch and inserted 1 wire to Input 1 and Another wire to Input 1 ground but when iam toggling the switch the map is not changing from Map 1 to Map 2 , Kindly suggest
thanks a lot for the video, just what i need it, ill be posting some questions after i try it!
Thank you Man really great video ®
stupid quesiton, does the bike have to be competly on when sending a tune??
At 1:31 on the video you show numbers in the 0% throttle all the way down to 7000rpm, are you saying you used the autotune for this column or are these numbers from a dyno tune output map? Good video by the way, very helpful and mostly covered the main things that need to be used.
how setting speed limit (adjust max)?
Actually a negative number, shuts off the fuel injectors completely, per Power Commander directly
Colby Butler you know what, sorry its -100 percent to shut them off.
+Colby Butler that would be a good way to stop thieves set one position to -100% and the other to your normal map !!! Lol
+Chris Yeager so no matter what, if they hot wire, it still won't move... Lol
Yup
Actually they make a similar but less complex product called a PCFC and it won't work with auto tune BUT...we used a PCV+AT to find what the machine needed...and then put that map in the PCFC (has a rotary switch for like 5/6 maps) one of which is 100% fuel cutoff on all cells! You have to know where his PCFC is hidden to sneak a screwdriver in and click it onto one of his run maps...we use it especially if we are going to be away from the machines for a while!
Can I run autotune just with the usb connection from my computer? doesn't it needs a most accurate engine test ??
You need the auto tune box aswell as the pc5
So I’ve installed the power commander fuel injection module, can anyone tell me why the afr is not showing or the table with the yellow box?
The Pcv is installed correctly, however, the rpms show on the right side but does nothing on the left side.
Does your bike have o2 sensors...if not i dont think its gonna show a far reading
RYD-ER-DIE my bike just has the stock o2 sensor. However, I found out that I need to the Dynojet autotune for the PCV to get the tables to work.
So how do you get to that screen??
Tries this on my PCV, autotune does not seem to kick in? any idea why?
How do you make fireballs come out? How much afr is safe to run rich
Just drink a whole bunch of em and they will come back out the way they went in
My pc5 does not show a yellow box with the rpm. What's that mean?
i have the same problem. did you sort it?
Go to options, environment options, then table cell tracer, click on single cell and save.
good video and thanks
That explains the toggle switch on my ltr 450 I don’t know shit about this I’m trying too learn so can I just download the software on my laptop I don’t have a cd or anything but I do have the pc5 and auto tuner
How do know what to set the target AFR to?
Byrds1967 go on the specific forum for your rig and ask what the ideal afr is.
Thanks for a nice video! ;)
Can you auto tune without o2 sensors?
@Devin J didn’t think so.
So AutoTune will make small changes to adjust your map to the best?
+George Badass exactly
+CHRIS D Thanks for the reply! One more question, if you download a map from powercommander.com that does not work so good, will AutoTune be able to change that map too? like making even greater changes which are needed?
George Badass so do you need to purchase the autotune or is it all in one?
George Badass you would to fine tune a pre-existing map so that it's very specific to your bike and riding style
So I need a laptop? Plug and play? How is the PC V connected?
I guess I am too much of a dummy to understand this tutorial....
computer via mini usb. You can also do tuning via android phone.
How do i connect the power commander with my computer?
How to you make ignition table ?
Do you still use a power commander?
Yes I do
