Yup, I bought this around the time it came out. Now I'm looking at replacing it cause I finally got sick of the horrible airflow.
To those asking - at 2:22 I actually say "I *wouldn't* recommend intake" due to the absence of a dust filter. Sry if my bad annunciation made it sound like "I would"

Ikr.. just got a fractal design define r5 like 1-2 months ago, while that is a great case, the side panel window is horrible and it costs like 130€ here..

You're killing me. This is still the only case on the market with front panel HDMI and you never even showed how the thing connects.
There's a gap in the back of the case and an HDMI cable inside. You route it through the gap and plug it into your GPU

molex should be illegal
Why is it annoying?
When you've moved to newer hardware and everything uses SATA power (ssd, hdd, optical maybe) and you want to keep your system as clean as possible, you're not gonna want to plug in a strand of molex cables for a single thing (nzxt hue+) and then have to worry about tying down and hiding the rest of the molex ends.
BT Oh well, i guess i don't know that problem since i still use molex :/

Ah, I don't believe Kyle covered this, but if he did, my apologies. NZXT Has provided a cutout next to the rear IO for the front panel HDMI passthrough :D Now I'm 100% sold on this case. I just wish that the rear mounted fan had support for 140mm fans.
whats the hdmi passthrough for? never seen an hdmi cable come with a pc. Is it for VR only?

I mean c'mon it's 2016, 140mm fans have been around for a few years now. I have 9x140mm fans in my case and I'm still waiting on the perfect case to upgrade to. The Be Quiet DB900 got my attention, but I lost all interest when I saw it doesn't include a power supply shroud. I'm waiting on the Phanteks Enthoo Elite to be announced, but nothing yet since Computex earlier in the year :/
Keep waiting, they'll soon come through. Worst case is (should I say no pun intended?) you buy a new chassis and a few weeks later, here comes Phantek's Enthoo Elite :D

Eric Hjalmarsson I notice they've excluded a few features that are on the H440, like rubber grommets, fan hub, drive bays, sound-proof padding. Still, I think this looks much sleeker than the H440 because of the tempered glass. Bit salty cuz I bought my H440 only last week.

If you have it set to intake with no filter it will throw dust inside the case. Exhaust will push the air and dust out

yea honestly I don't like how the front of the 460x is also glass. just a bit much. and the rgb fans are static pressure but is used as airflow in their product pages lol
Haven't even heard of the 460X until you mentioned. Just checked it out. It's kind of going over the top now. I think the 400C makes a statement while still being quite minimalist.

Did NZXT update their older S340 case? When I received my S340 case, I got the same filter as the S340 elite has. Meaning the S340 filter has the same tray the Elite mode does.

Hey Kyle, there's another pass-through for the front SSD mount so you don't have to squeeze between the hard drive cage. It's right in front of the cage.

GPU about 72 degrees until I changed to Define 7, Temps dropped to 60.

The hard drive bay is such a let down
IKR, why not include some drive caddies that easily slide inside. Imagine you have everything installed and for some reason you need to remove/replace the old HDD. You gotta remove the freaking PSU and all the cables because of the screw that goes on the inside

Instead of taking out the psu.. just take off the front panel of the case to access the screws of the psu.
Who is really going to use 3 hdd and an ssd...who is even going to use more than 1 hdd and an ssd, and the storage is the thing you upgrade the least on a pc

That case looks clean af. I noticed a white light near the top of the case. Are those custom LED's at the top inside of the case? or is that something already included? Also, can anyone tell me if you can buy pre-made cable extensions? I'm still fairly new to PC building but my PSU cables are too short to allow the cable management that I want.
looks nice like a lot of other case's cooling temps on this look to be bad like most new cases. waiting for the PC-011 air to be released. Also the top should accommodate a 240 or 280 AIO 360 AIO would be nice. New CPU's run on the hot side as do the newer GPU's

Can anyone please tell me why the fans of the radiator has to come on the front/outside? I build a similar pc, but placed the radiator first and the fans after. Should I Switch?

I still have a couple questions. Full or semi modular? Does the fans behind the radiator help the radiator get power at all? How would you know where all of the cables from the power supply go to? it looks SOOOO complicated!
I am cramming a Corsair H115i 280mm in the front along with an EVGA 1080 Hybrid. Yikes it is tight. Using an EVGA Z270 FTW full ATX board. There are some significant problems and I knew it would be a battle. I really wanted to pull the air through the radiator up front, but the front mount of the rad only allows push. The cut outs on the deck for cable management are great but on for the EVGA board. The second USB 3.0 header is overlapping the cutout and the cutout must be widened to fit a the second 3.0 header. My God.. the drive bay for my two 1TB storage is horrible. The holes to the drive only line up in some places and took away my choice of how deep to mount the drive. So, the things Bitwiz pointed out were legit and I could pick it apart even more, but my desire to downsize my case came with a price.
I'm thinking of getting either this, the Corsair 460X or the Phanteks Eclipse P400S Tempered Glass (Red and Black Special Edition) but I'm torn. I'm gonna be doing another build, for which I'm gonna be giving my current case (It's a ThermalTake Versa H22) to my sister for her build but I need a new case for my rig. Any help or advice?

I'm getting pretty much the same set up as this but with an i5 6500. I'm new to building PCs. As I'm obviously not going to overclock my CPU, how many fans do I need to buy for the case? I'm using the stock CPU cooler brw.

I just purchased this case a year after the video and I'm excited to build in it. The most important feature for me is the 280mm radiator mount on the front which my old case from Fractal Design unfortunately missed.

great review, i love this case :-) however, at 8.55 in the video where you mention about the sata cables having to route through the 3.5 inch hard rive cages...I managed to route my cables around the front of the case instead (you can see the opening at the bottom of the case) :-)
Hypothetically, could i replace the tampered glass with acrylic? also is the single top exhaust and single back exhaust enough for positive airflow or should i look at another case such as the one used in the 2017 January build?
can you do a 240mm radiator first then the fans configuration in front instead of 280mm rad so it would fit?

All you tech tubers always say you hate it when manufacturers tighten thumb screws so tight that you need a screw driver to unfasten them but it would be worse if the screws fell off and were lost because they weren't fastened down tight enough. I've heard so many tech tubers say that now it's like a broken record lol That's like saying you hate seals on container perishables. Sure they're annoying but better to have them than not just like it's better to have tight thumb screws before you make the tower your own.

You need to do more of these. It's the little things (Like the Fan/Radiator Installation issue) that help the most.
Can somebody explain to me how the graphics card and other components don’t get too hot, since his two intake fan slots are going strait to his cpu so there is no airflow directing towards the other components, thanks in advance

Sir please please can you tell whether there would be any problem in fitting a Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED/EVO on a Asus z170 Pro gaming Aura mobo with a graphics card of ASUS ROG STRIX 1070 in a case of NZXT S340 Elite....I heard that fitting the cooler master would occupy some space of the RAM slots (Ram -- Corsair Vengeance lpx 2x8 gb ddr4) ...I don't want that to happen...If its so please suggest another good quality cooler...Please fix my problem Sir....
