the O11 is such a good case...it's easy to build in it and it have a lot of space for basically any component in the market, and on top of that is feaking stunning. No wonder other company are still copying lian li
Even Lian Li copied the O11 designe from Thermaltake like Core P3 and there much older case made by Tt same design but less glace it came back to 2016. Lian Li just copied the design and built it with glaces.
Banger of a video fams and agreed, too many of these "similar" dual chamber cases out there now. Can't believe NZXT went backwards with the fans. Keep up the hard work
Hmm but it’s also nice to have a variety of designs to choose from. I find the nzxt cases to be cleaner design wise and don’t really like the o11 that much. So for me this opens up this style as an option. Will probably get a H7 flow or Fractal north tho.
I like this case, because it's the tried-and-true O11 layout on the surface, but with just enough little (well, some not so little, like the full mesh back panel) changes and additions to make it stand out. All of their modern cases look the same. Rectangular metal and plastic boxes, available in only black or white. They need something different to really grab people's attention. I like NZXT, but I really wish they would come out with something way different out of left field, like their old cases back in the day used to be. I loved their Phantom series of cases, and would absolutely LOVE to see a modern version of that case!! RGB fans, a PSU basement, good front panel I/O connectivity, but with the awesome curvy-but-streamlined Phantom look that I personally really love.
I'm due for a new build (hence my research), but almost 10 years ago when I did a build, i went with this fairly unknown company (NZXT) for most of my build. I used the H630F case (which was probably the thing I was most happy with), although both internal fans failed within a few months. The NZXT hale90 V2 power supply was DOA. I also needed two internal USB expansion boards (NZXT IU01) that both failed and needed to be soldered several times. The only positive thing I'll say about NXZT was the Kraken X61 and X41 held up for 10 years.
Just bought the MetallicGear neo cube 2 IM after your review. It's a freaking amazing case for the money. Keep up the great work you guys and stay safe.
went for the nzxt h9 flow case cuz it looks superior than the o11d evo to me (main reasons were the dust filters and the tad more in height so the verticaly mounted GPU won't block the screen of the aio pump, i bought the monster aorus 4090) but in case of fans i went for lianli SL120 infinitys, 10 fans and only 4 cables will be a joy to cable manage :D so stoked for the build, parts coming this weekend
@@eduardomaldonado5793 that gpu was on my list too xd but went for the aorus cuz it was on a quick "sale" for 1820€ :D and some ppl meant that the zotac might not fit vertically due to its unique designed cooler, did it fit for you?
Thank you for calling out the lack of daisy chaining in the new fans. That is surprising that they seem to have taken a step backwards! I am looking at alternatives from Phantek and Lian Li. It's a shame because I do like the Kraken elite 360 which comes with those F120 fans, and ideally I'd like to have consistency in fans across the case.
The only thing that @NZXT could upgrade, is to design a bracket for holding the weight of massive GPUs in either horizontal or vertical placement, since it is visible that even the GPU bracket you used is struggling to hold this behemoth and still the GPU is not parallel to the rest of the build.
Coming from SFF PCs where I opted for sandwich style cases, I really hope this dual chambered layout in mid/full tower cases becomes much more popular.
Considering the proper place to put a PC is on the desk, I am hoping they find a wat to do dual chamber without such a big footprint. Right now I have a dual chamber case and I am shopping for one with a PSU shroud on the bottom(which is basically just a vertical dual chamber) instead of dual chamber because of the poor space management dual chamber requires.
It's a trend that's slowly getting there. I think Hyte started it? The NZXT has one now and I was looking up a MSI case and they started implementing it on their new cases too

I've been looking at importing the stuff from Philippines or India lmao. Hopefully it comes out soon cuz I don't wanna take a Dremel onto an original o11 case.
They have them at micro center and Best buy. I picked one up at micro center today. Can wait to build in it tomorrow. Trying to figure out which fans go in which direction though. So many fans lol
The funny part is even though this case is really cool, we will be putting Lianli fans or Phanteks D30s in this case because NZXT hasnt quite caught up yet when it comes their cables to fans ratio.
Thanks for the insight into the lack of bottom fan tray in the case and daisy chain incapable fans from NZXT. Price and look of this case makes me think that other case builders may have better price points for a similar/superior product.
great video, i love that you went so in depth with everything and showed off the entire case in stead of doing a 5 min video and just saying its good. I also have a question im new to building pc's and looking to get this case but I just wanted to know the fans orientation you had, (like which fans are intake and which ones are exhaust) I will be having the same amount of fans as you with the aio on top. If you could just help that would be great👍

Hi, @Gear Seekers. I like your videos, especially for new cases. I have couples of questions. First, is there a gap between glass side and front panels for NZXT H9? Second, which case do you recommend ASUS GT502 or NZXT H9?
Nzxt motherboards look so clean! Like the all nzxt build. I don't know about the case... it's cool, that the rear panel is completely ventilated. I kind of prefer asus innovations to the 2 chamber design, because you can fit to rads in the psu chamber in those cases.
Best b-roll ever! But, not gonna lie, thinking about that mass of fan cables in the back, visible or not, has given me insomnia.Just got my H9 Elite, and will move over my similar build from the Fractal Torrent RGB which I am sure will outperform the NZXT on thermals, but has begun to look boring! I think builds, are like wives, new one ever few months!
Hey, great video. I am looking at changing my case and really want to get the Flow with the duo fans. I was thinking about the issue you said with regards to the fans. Are you able to advise on what you did for connecting these. I have a MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard which currenty has my fan controller and my Kraken AIO plugged in. How did you get all the fans connected and the Aio? Thanks
Am I the only one here that can’t stand seeing the entire side panel poked with holes for airflow? I understand why they did it with the 3 120mm fans and the way the PSU is positioned but they could’ve easily engineered for the PSU to be placed at the bottom of the case and only had a cutout for airflow for the 3 120mm fans.
Great video! Loved the case! Im definitely getting it BUT won't get the new rgb fans. I love my daisy chain and its so easy to build it even for a rookie like me :)
True! As a first time builder, the NZXT fans were very difficult for me since my motherboard only had one rgb hub too. I kind of set myself up but the daisy chaining would’ve been nice, ended up getting two rgb hubs to put it all together
Hey there, I was curious to know if there was any rattling or any noise from those bottom fans? Technically it's supposed to be 120mm fans but I always go for 140 if I can. Did you recognize anything like that since you only fully screwed in 1 of them?
The cable management bar beside the MB looked like it has a mirror on front side or something as it was reflecting the top 2 fans mounted on the back in the front, is it the same as the old bars or is it a mirror on front of the bar?
i like the Core fans more then the Duo, when NZXT will release Reverse Blades ? Lian Li does that. The motherboard is awesome but the B650E motherboard from NZXT need something to change because if you have a 360 Elite Kraken AIO then you will see the cables no matter what. Dunno why they did not Cable Managment in the motherboards to the top under the Shielding for the AIO. The next problem is when you have the AIO mounted like i have and the Tubes Face to the right (to the Ram) you will have problems to fit some kind of ram you have to jam them really in because the tubes will touch the Ram and press on it, 1 or 2 cm space there will be better. The H9 Flow has the USB front pannel Cable that is not Curved ... looks bad for real, curved ones will look better. I had big problems with the H9 Flow and the B650E combined with a BeQuiet Straight Power 12 850w Modular PSU because the cables was way to thick, get cable extentions or new cables because it will look better and you will build it way easyer, you can not remove the GPU when you did not dismount the PCI 5.0 heat sink for the Nvme. But all in one i chose the NZXT over Lian Li because it came with new ideas and i like it alot, good case for real. Ryzen 7800x3d get cooled so easy with a 360 Elite Kraken ... i think i made there a overkill but it is looking awesome.
Is there anywhere to mount a fan control unit, like the Corsair Commander Pro? How did you orient the flow of each of the fans? Also I just want to say your videos are very in depth and high quality, impressive.
With all of the space behind the motherboard tray, you can easily mount controllers such as the Commander Pro without sacrificing space for cable management. My Lian Li controller fit perfectly into the lower area between the HDD bay and the vertical cable channel.
@@DougMcCloudNice, thats about how I'm set up now. I have bottom and front fan intake, with top and rear exhaust. What I'm hoping with the H9 elite is that I'm not pushing air towards the exhaust of my GPU and instead pulling it from the GPU out the side.
I ordered new case H9 elite but I didnt buy Fans for ground area. Do u think it will be a problem ?Also im using r9 7900x and I dont have GPU İ will buy on future
I think this has the better airflow, it also depends if you want to go vertical mount and what size card "thickness" you are going to use. The vertical mount for the nzxt is about £85 so bumps the price of the case up a bit, where its included with the y60 and is the only way you can install a card vertically. Some large RTX 4090's get very close to the side panel of the y60 with not enough space to cool. Good luck mate!
can you do a video installing fans and everything that plugs into the back on that case please nobody ever shows the back cable build. thanks in advance!!!
Couldn't agree more on the fans! what were they thinking? It's a nice case but personally im more excited about Phanteks NV7 packs some better features IMO. I've got an H7 Flow right now and may consider the upgrade for some more airflow.
This case looks great. For the fans. I think I won't go with rgb anyway. May be just a little something to give a little personality with the aio and the ram sticks but if I do go rgb i might get the lian li uni fans. The daisy chain will not clutter the case with so many cables
5 years in and even big brands are still copying the O11. Der8auer and Lian Li should be proud.

Holy moly, you can say whatever you want about this case but 62 degrees from vertical mounted 4090 is insanity.
Lian Li's CEO right now:
Holy Jesus... What is that? *WTF IS THAT?!*
Great build, as always.
Which vertical mount kit brand/model did u go with?
I was thinkin of buying the H7 flow , thank you for posting it
I removed the cable bar, fit my X670E Crosshair Extreme and it fits
Is there anywhere to mount a fan control unit, like the Corsair Commander Pro? How did you orient the flow of each of the fans?
Also I just want to say your videos are very in depth and high quality, impressive.
With all of the space behind the motherboard tray, you can easily mount controllers such as the Commander Pro without sacrificing space for cable management. My Lian Li controller fit perfectly into the lower area between the HDD bay and the vertical cable channel.
@@DougMcCloudThank you for the response. If you have the time, could you tell me what the fan configuration was, regarding the directional flow?
@@CHAOSMOVEMENT The bottom and side fans (3 x 120mm each) are intakes, with my rear fan (120mm) and AIO (140mm x 2) fans serving as exhausts.
Do u think it will be a problem ?Also im using r9 7900x and I dont have GPU İ will buy on future
thanks for this video, i really like the looks of this case but still can't decide between this, Y60 or Y40.
Nice case. I wish the NZXT logo wasn’t on the glass. Put it in the side panel not the glass
i cant trade the Lancool III for a fish tank the temps and Looks and build Quality from the Lancool III is too good.
How exactly did you mount your GPU in this? Can it stock vertical GPU mount or do you need a bracket?
Watch the video
Hi thanks for a great video. What is the size of the front glass? Cheers
Are the pins that hold the panels on made of plastic?
Awesome case, awesome build!
Thank you for including AUD prices.. very helpful
😁
This case is almost identical to the lian li manufacturer's case. The position of the power supply and others.
So... Took all these years for the other Brands to start making O11 Dynamic clones? Good for them...
If lian li did the magnets on the hinge wouldn't that effect the reverse mode?
10:53 nice sound in background 😊
Couldn't agree more on the fans! what were they thinking? It's a nice case but personally im more excited about Phanteks NV7 packs some better features IMO. I've got an H7 Flow right now and may consider the upgrade for some more airflow.
I would kill for an H9 in a mix of black & white, like my current H7
Hello I bought the Nzxt H9 flow and don't know how to build the fans at the bottom, I mean the fans should blow out or suck on
What cables are used ? the look soft and pliable which is something I need.
This case looks great. For the fans. I think I won't go with rgb anyway. May be just a little something to give a little personality with the aio and the ram sticks but if I do go rgb i might get the lian li uni fans. The daisy chain will not clutter the case with so many cables
do it once. do it right. Doesnt matter which type of fans. youre not gonna be changing fans every month. lol
