how could it look unrealistic? it is real...
The underglow would be much nicer if the light were better diffused. Seeing the individual LEDs on your desk kinda kills it.

The only reason why I use RGB on my PC is because it works well as a lamp and most products like fans and mobos have them integrated anyways. Full white, full glow, on or off; simple, and I no longer need a regular desk lamp so I have more room for my drawing tablets and monitors.

Seriously, best aspect of rgb for me is it makes my computer have an additional purpose: Gamestation, webbrowser, spaceheater, and lamp.
Same here, really nice if you wanna eat something, or in mh case, need light for crafting. Thats the only usefull purpose for lighting :D

I just use minimal white lighting on my CPU cooler fans. Less is more

I have been using CableMod's Widebeam LED's since they allowed a few of us from OCN to test them. I do have to say I love the ecosystem NZXT has started to form around their line-up from Cases to lighting.
I am really digging the new sets!
this blue / pink lighting looks very nice, I like the shadows from the shelves. That's a very sweet setup. thumbs up !
been using my Hue 2 Ambient Kit for over a year now and Im still liking it. It's White/Blue colours are kinda washed out like f.e. if you look into the sky on Battlefield, it never matches the in-game white/blue tone. But it's phenomenal with every other colour, especially on colourful games like Borderlands
Im also getting updates from time to time :)
What's really nice about the comb kit is that he cable combs are exactly the right number. I ordered two ATX and four 4 pin combs and I ended up needing a fifth.

I saw one of those Overwatch NZXT in Shinjuku the other day. I definitely prefer the white only case.
Almost every other case in the shop was black...
Didn't know Jay could make more then 1 video per month. This is great improvement. Perhaps you could build more then 1 computer per year now, we want to see nice watercooling!

That's pretty much the exact setup I've been using for a while. The CAM software is pretty cool, I've got it controlling my 4 fans, AIO pump, and 2 LED strips within the case. Works great.
I've still got my Hue and Aer which Jay is pronounced Air and I must say they've been fantastic and when I did have issues NZXT's customer service was bloody amazing, I'd have zero issues in recommending these products!

Missed opportunity, especially since it has a separate hub, is home automation (wifi connection). That way you could control it with your smartphone and have it hooked up to and integrate with Alexa/Google Home. Really surprised they haven't thought of that yet.

Thank you for reassuring me on my purchase of the NZXT AER 2 RGB Fans! Good to know that it's 1 cable to the In Lighting channel and the rest is just out to the last fan! Makes for an easier install.
How much nzxt aer 2 fans are supported by this Hue 2 controller? I want to plug 6 of these fans. No led strips.

what i really like is the idea of having your lighting react to gameplay. Like, i've been derping around star citizen for a while now, it'd be cool if the lights reacted to my ship being damaged or powering on/off or say going into quantum travel. Oh the possibilities!

Hey Jay! What kind of soft or hardware are you using too control your fans in a watercoolingloop? I mean if i use the cpu header the fans will not ramp up for the GPU.
Just a heads up, me and my friends have purchased the HUE v2 and we have all had issues with the soldering on the led strips being done very poorly. Lights changing colour until you press down on them.

Has CAM improved in stability and compatibility? it used to lock up systems a lot.

As cool as NZXT HUE is, i chose to stay away from it due to having to use the CAM software. I chose to go with Corsair iCUE instead, and have been very happy with it.
cam software is just a big data collecting software... mine have sent ~9Gb of data 2 months ago... so i uninstall it.

I have this controller in my case. I use a Aurus Z390 Master and a NXZT case. I cannot get the Cam software to communicate with the case LED's. The LED's light up white when plugged into the controller. There is no communication with the software that will allow me to activate the RGB functionality. The CAM software gives this error: "No supported lighting devices were found". Can anyone help?

My plan is to upgrade my H500i to Hue2 (it came with Hue+), replace the two stock strips, add two underneath the case and use an RGB extension to come out of the case and use 2 or 3 more strips for behind my monitor! Absolutely love NZXT's RGB implementation, best by far i'd say!

Hey there I'm planning to put in a ton of rgb int my system but I'm not sure if I can fit/make everything work into my system. I want to know if everything I'm planning on buying, will connect to the Hue 2. I'm planning to put in a Kraken x52 240mm aio, 4 rgb strips, 2 120mm rgb fans, rgb cable combs, 2 250mm rgb underglow strips. I wonder if these all fit or will I have to buy usb 2.0 extensions or some other hub. Thanks.
Nice video bro. I'm still rockin' the original Hue system. I have the Kraken X62, 2 Hue's running three 140mm fans, three 120mm fans, and 6 light strips. But, I needed 2 of NZXT's internal usb hubs though. I'll be upgrading to the new Hue 2 on my next build.
Would the monitor kit work on dual setup if they go along both edges and tops?

what I do like about NZXT Fans & LEDs is they use standard plugs so you can choose if you want to use their HUB or your motherboard
Can those fans go on the front of the case with the leds pointing into the case I just bought 3 for the front of my nzxt h710i

One problem with rgb for me it is very distracting when i need to work so i ended up turning it all off or still color...

RGB is Still RGB if it is static.
RGB is just the ability to customize the color. 🎨
RGB doesn't mean it needs to be a circus of blinking/swirling/everchanging colors.
RGB = Good.

My PC is all MSI Gaming + so used RGB EK Varder Fans on my Radiator to have matching red lighting, it's so quiet Idling it's the only only way I Know it's still on

I personally think Commander Pro, but both are good.

Hi jay, umm.. i have a little question. So um i am building my first pc and today my motherboard got here and me like a idiot just touched it with my bare hands without grounding myself or touching the psu and the mobo wasnt plugged in. Any chance it will stil work?
I bought one piece of NZXT AER RGB 2 - HF-28120-B1 - 120mm by mistake i put it as exhaust fan but rgb not working. can you help please?
I have a Corsair ecosystem and I changed from a blu-ish type theme to a red-ish type theme earlier today simply because I thought it was time to change. My fan however are non-RGB but I do have Phanteks Halo's on them connected via the motherboard so I made a suitable colour up to complement what I had running in ICUE. EVGA's ELEET doesn't give many options to play with but a Breathe option sufficed.

Just one suggestion: the shadows are a bit harsh in background. I love the color lights but I think the shadow angles look a bit odd.
I’m getting two AER RGB 2 fans and have the standard normal 3 in my case (h400i), can I hook all of them up to the hue2?
That's also my question. Ohh gosh, so hard to get that information! I want to plug 6(six) nzxt aer 2 gans. No led strips.
One of my personally favorite features of HUE/CAM has to be how minute you can program audio reactions. Down to individual LEDs on a hidden strip.
With it set to various volumes, bass intensities etc, you can have your case sit darked out and really go to town when listening to music or creating it.
But because it's so customizable, it never gets out of control or feels like a cheap gimmick. CAM actually turns all the NZXT Addressable RGB and case itself into a pretty legitimate visualizer.
I built my previous system using an NZXT S340 and Kraken X series 280mm AIO. There's no going back after using NZXT products. I'm building a Ryzen 3000 system next month when everything launches!! It's all going in the new H510i, which comes with the HUE2 hardware!! I'm super excited to get my hands on this stuff! Not a big fan of RGB fans personally... I think they look kinda cheap... Maybe that's just me. I am however, very excited to have addressable RGB LED strips throughout my case. As well as my CPU cooler, which will be the Kraken X62 280mm which can all be controlled by the CAM software. NZXT is a great bang for your buck. They have a very nice modern minimalist aesthetic with great thermals and very good pricing. If anyone is on the fence about going with an NZXT product, don't hesitate.
