I was thinking about getting this case, and yeah some other reviews said the front panel was too restrictive. It's good to have this data so we know it can run cool with enough fans. Thanks and a big thumbs up!
Lian Li Official page recently posted on Instagram regarding the front mesh and said it's not up to their expectations and it turned out to be a bit restrictive so they'll be delaying the pre-booking for this case and start pre-booking once they've fixed the front mesh.

Lian Li will be re-doing the mesh panels for better thermals. They claim the difference is around 5°C.
They delayed launch by 2 months in the US market and offered to send new panels to those who got it earlier in Asia.
You can put a 280mm AIO in the front as an intake. The radiator gets fresh air immediately and not hot case air.

Such a large number of fans to achieve results similar to cases with three fans
I anticipate DeepCool eventually making a more advanced version of this very same cooler. Perhaps, a Dual Tower with 2 or even 3 140's would help in achieving enough cooling TDP for the 13700,13900, 7800 x3d, 7950 x3d's of the world. It's pretty close now but definitely not enough even with drastic undervolting (which you wouldn't want to do anyway.)

I really think those side fan slots are meant for a 240mm AIO, and if you're not doing that, then the front and bottom intakes will be sufficient to bring enough fresh air into the case, being exhaust by the back and top fans. Putting a pair of 120mm doesn't seem like it would do much other than adding noise and wasting energy. But that's just me.
From what I've seen so far, the air-cooling tests were done with the stock fans so that might be the case why they had higher thermal results. Glad that you did this test with maxed out fans though.

I'd love a retest with 2 in the front, two on the bottom, and one at the back. the front two fans just suck out cool air before it hits the cpu.

YES. 10 fans. any issues with the rgb controller/fan hub? everywhere i read they say max fans in this case is 9. i made sure to specify air mini and not the non air version.

I'm just curious, will the right most top fan near the front fans affect the amount of air that the air cooler will receive?
In this and previous video, did you use the revised version of the case ? You know they're changed the mesh panels for more airflow.

Can it fit a Noctua D15 with 3x120 on top as well? - Noctua has no comp. issues listed on their site for the D15 with air mini but there is no mention on top clearance - cheers in advance!

I have this case, same layout but missing one fan on top, vrm sink won't allow for it without the rad offset brackets (sold separately). And it's loud without fan curves lol

how did you manage to plug in all of the fans when there is only 2 usb header in the motherboard? Did you used a splitter at the usb header?
Fans plug into chassis fan headers...there are 3 on this board. Plus two for CPU fans and one for a pump.
