I really appreciate that you talked about the realistic clearances. I think we've all been stuck with reading specs and then finding out that a component just won't fit. With the GPU shortage, it isn't easy to return something and be able to get a different component either.

Drop in ssds should be standard. In the center of a two chamber sff, this drop in idea could be a game changer. As far as the rear fan hub, that could also be a pretty nifty thing to be standard.

Found out to use a 280mm AIO you have to mount the fans to the case and the radiator below it. The radiator limit is 315mm or 325mm if you remove that SSD cage

    • @lucianootiniano9307
      @lucianootiniano9307 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Do you know if the NZXT Z63 280mm AIO would fit in this case? Would I have to do the same configuration that you are suggesting? The NZXT AIO is 315mm long, so I don't think there should be a problem with fitting it in since I will not be using the SSD cage.

You could mount the fans 1st and put the rad below and then you could fit a 280mm rad. And have the fans exhausting air still.
I wonder if they could of made the front Io along the bottom to help with GPU clearance or if there is room on the other side.
Would also be good if you could but 2x mesh and 2x TG if you wanted to.
Now I have to make a hard choice nr200p max or this 🤔

The configuration mentioned at 13:55 implies that the best configuration would be to have the mesh on the bottom on one side and the top for the other. I decided to do this as I was watching this while I was building.
This is not possible. The glass panels have a tab so they can only be both on the same side, both on top, or both on bottom. But not top on one side and bottom on the other. The mesh panels don't have that tab so it's fine. I'm now considering cutting off that tab but they don't sell additional glass panels (and I can't find where to order additional mesh panels in the states).
The reason I wanted to do it was because the aio I chose looked nice and clean and I wanted to show off the CPU block. And I needed mesh on the other side for air intake for the GPU.

    My tip for everyone:
You can buy the PCIe 3.0 version of this case for $80 on NewEgg right now and a white PCIe riser cable on Amazon for $50-$60. This is not only cheaper than buying the PCIe 4.0 version of the case, but you can drill new mounting holes closer to the case window/mesh to bump your GPU out away from the motherboard, so you aren't creating such a hot spot between major components (this is a mod that many have done and they have gotten better thermals).

Asus 280mm AIO fits perfectly without having to remove the fan hub or 2.5 inch drive tray. NZXT 280mm AIO fits, but you have to remove either the fan hub OR the drive tray - the radiator is just a smidge too long.
Also - NZXT kraken AIO pumps are too large to fit on Asus Z690-i boards.

I love the the design and the challenge of building with this case but unfortunately it's very bad in the thermo department. I ordered mesh side panels , tried air cooler and different air intake and exhaust dan settings . I played with 3 diferent gpus to test thermos and still the thermos were a bit too hot for my standard . i5-12600K / RTX 3060ti / 3080/ and in the end an FE 3070ti which is a smaller GPU with better headroom and lower temps but still running at low 70s celcius temps. Love the case and design but Inhad to take down the build and transfer it to the NR200 and let me say that the NR200 is way better in temps but not as beautiful as the Q58. I would say the Q58 is good for a lower tier 1080p gaming build like i3 /i5/R5 5600X /5600G with an RX 6600XT / GTX 1660ti / RTX 3050 or 3060 at the most .

hmm now i watched GGF and well that guy is just brilliant and custom. This build is necessary because its what 90% would have to build. Making it look good though, just pure looks, the open spaces, the window configuration either custom water cooling, or lets say gpu side vented side panel put on bottom and top. Then we have double window where the motherboard/power supply is, then your cable management needs to be top tier. If you double window gpu side, then you are just suffocating the gpu and I am pretty sure everyone here would just not do that.

I have found that SFF cases have too many compromises to be made such as cooling CPU and GPU, cable management, etc,. I will stick with mid-size towers and ATX motherboards.

There were a few stretches during the B-Roll where the music seems to stop completely. Was this some sort of test? :D If so you got me.

Hey GS, can you please make a ATX build in the SFF-Time N-ATX case. Particularly with watercooled parts. I have a i7-7700K under a 240mm corsair aio on a ASUS TUFF Z270, a EVGA 1080ti 120mm aio Hybrid, and a EVGA G2 850W ATX psu. If possible, I would like to move them into this slim ATX case to better fit my cramped dorm desk. I've come to despise my Corsair Crystal 570X RGB case younger (very dumb me) purchased.

Do you think a Deepcool Gamer Storm Captain 240X can fit in there ? I'm worry about the size of the body pump
