The wait is finally over! AM5 has arrived! So stoked to share my first build with the Ryzen 9 7950X, complete with the ASUS ROG X670E Crosshair Gene motherboard. Small form factor, with incredible potential - these two were made for each other! Sure, you may suggest the CPU greatly overpowers the GPU, but with productivity in mind (Video and Photo editing) over gaming, faster cores always win!
In light of the launch, I've seen countless RGB builds around social media, I couldn't resist an opportunity to theme one of my favourites - a blackout Noctua airflow build. This time I opted for the stellar Lian-Li O11 Air Mini, a small chassis with huge airflow potential. Which is just as well because that 7950X certainly needs air!

Whilst I haven't had an opportunity to fully test the AM5 chip for performance at this point, be assured that in upcoming video's I'll be including performance samples and temperature tests. Initial impressions are very positive indeed, though!
I'd also like to say that the Lian-Li O11 Air Mini chassis was an absolute pleasure to build inside of. This has rapidly become one of my favourite smaller form cases, with great reason! Highly recommended.

Did you use the original hardware with the kraken cooler or did you get the new stuff from Nzxt because I have a z73 and I’m wondering if I actually need the new mounting hardware?
I used the standard AM4 mounting kit which came with the Kraken cooler. NZXT have announced they will be supplying a more specific AM5 bracket, however I haven’t noticed anything negative in terms of thermal performance using the AM4. I’d definitely use the AM5 bracket when they release it though, it will be better optimised 👌

@@Mr_Matt_Lee Im in the same boat with a z53 and this put my mind at ease for when I up grade. Im still rocking a ryzen 2700x on x470 board and I have no choice but to upgrade to 7000 series cant wait
I'm thinking of get the X73 so it's good to know that am4 kit is compatible
z73 wont fit in this case, only a (z63) 280 up top with a matx/itx board or 240 on the side regardless of what you use to move its position
There’s something about all black or all white pcs that makes me happy inside. It’s a shame that white pcs are hard to build on a budget
Tell me about it... Just finding the parts can be a challenge on any budget.
Pc black parts aren't the problem, but white stuff, oh boy :(

you can just plastidip or spray paint stuff white. It's not hard and if you take your time, the quality is also very good.
@@changen4125 true... So long as you buy components that are friendly to being torn apart and take paint without interfering with anything. Just a little bit of hassle and always kinda nicer when they come designed to a white theme... But yeah, I have a can of plastidip for that very reason. Mostly try to just use it to touch up little things here and there though. I wouldn't paint fans/heatsinks/radiators personally though.

Amazing build and god level cable management!!
I personally love the stealth builds. recently re-did my rig in that exact case. IMO its one of the best out there, compact enough but offers all kinds of cooling options, great cable management etc. I actually with with a second aio on the gpu running off the gpu temps (pny card has a mini 4pin you can connect a controller to). learned a lot, would probably just doing a custom loop next time but this case is one i hope they keep around for awhile.

@@adventureedit5776 360 is definitely recommended from what I have heard but as far as anything other than ryzen 9 they have suggested at least 240mm aio or twin tower air cooling.

Just a little thing: they are a antisag kit from lian li, you can mount it directly on the same shrouds like the mainboard. It will look awesome 😉. Anyway i love your build.

I love my Air mini. I modded the front just a bit with a dremmel, removing the inner bezel on the front fan mounting hole, and was able to fit 2x 280mm rads for my z390i and 3090fe custom loop. using 35mm(i'm pretty sure) thick rads i can keep temps below 60c. the active backplate on the 3090fe block from ek helps, but the card weighs in at around 7lb, no joke, and had to use the vertical mount for this case to avoid sag
