      Not at all, the rear fan must be lower to directly evacuate the hot air from the graphics card, the radiator must also have the pipes down so as not to create air bubbles at the pump and put a third fan at the top right directly evacuate the fresh air arriving through the 140 on the front.
      the radiator can even be placed behind the metal plate so that its heat does not create a hot water bottle effect in the motherboard compartment

    Doing close-up shots of the individual pinouts outside the case for assembly is yet another stroke of genius I have only seen in your video. You really do not leave people with any questions how to proceed with putting things together regardless of their skill level. And that kind of foresight is very hard to accomplish because the more proficient you are, the easier it is for you to skip over "trivial" details, so it's all the more impressive that you are considering these things.

    This is the best video for this case on the internet. You go above and beyond in explaining things, like the top radiator bracket, even though you didn’t have to. Also, the way you showered how to connect all tue fans up, power and ARGB really put my mind at ease. Thanks

Moving my prebuilt PC into a much better case--the O11 Air Mini--and this guide is great for showing me all the necessary steps in the build. While I don't plan on doing all the various configs (5-slot, top radiator mount), I appreciate the thoroughness. Truly a helpful and useful video, thanks!

      I remember my very first PC was a pre-built purchased from Argos some 25 years ago(cost £699). About 6 months after I got it the CD-ROM drive failed and replacing it was a bit of a pain because when I opened up the case everything and I mean everything was glued down. The IDE cable to the drive was glued, the molex connector was glued and the IDE connector on the motherboard was glued. Everything was glued in place. Don't know if they still do that with PCs bought from shops and stores. I hope they don't.

    Hi Chris, I’ve been watching your videos the last few days as I hunt down a new case, Hands down the best channel for this I’ve come across, I’ll just add to the ram speed, go into Oc Settings, choose your speed there from the drop
    Down menu and then change the voltage of the ram to 1.36 Volts, this will run your ram at your selected speed always, I’m sure you know this but just incase ;)

    Really nice channel, with some super information for the novice and experienced builder alike. Stumbled on the channel while digging for information on the Lian Li O11 Air Mini, as I intend that to be the base for my own build, so dropped lucky here. I've always built my own systems, however they are normally quite a few years apart so it's great to have a walk through using the latest kit just to bring yourself up to date. This is easily one of the best walk-throughs I've watched. Just started working my way through the channel content and there is a ton of stuff that will help me out going forwards.

    Guess it makes sense TH-cam would feed me this video. I watched some reviews and bought this case. Build was very easy, no real curve balls. If you are on the fence, I say buy with confidence. The name was a turn off for me but the build quality quickly won me over. (Not that it even had to, it was the only full atx case that would fit where I needed it too.)

    O11 Air Mini owner here. Here's my combo for people looking to air cool with this case. Compared to my Fractal Torrent build it is a decent choice that performs excellent with air based configuration.
    CPU: Ryzen 5600 non X
    GPU: XFX RX 6700 XT
    MOBO: MSI Tomahawk B550
    CPU Cooler: Arctic eSports DUO
    Fan configuration: default Lian Li case fans + (Arctic)2 x 140mm bottom (intake) and 3 x (Arctic SLIM)120mm top (exhaust). No RGB stuff.
    I followed Gamer's Nexus advice and raised the case a bit with wooden legs. Sits total 5cm above surfice.
    Temps are excellent with CPU idling at 35 ish and 40 on browsing. Gaming takes it to about mid 60s
    GPU temps on heavy loads mid 70s (package) and mid 80s (junction). Idling the GPU is hovers around 35 -37
    The case is more than capable for air cooled based build as the name suggest. AIO based cooling is overkill unless you like the aesthetics.

    One thing that has been bugging me looking at Lian li O11 Air spec on their site, It's stated that clearance for 2x140mm fans on the bottom is only 20mm with 7 slot + ATX setup. Clearly you have showed that it's incorrect with installing 2x140mm Uni fans which are 25mm height. Did they made a mistake or I misinterpret the specs incorrectly? Great video, the most detailed and easy to follow video I've seen on this case! Thank you!

    Great tutorial. The only issue I have and it is a small one is that you have set the radiator fans to exhaust instead of intake so it is pushing air through the radiator out the side panel when having it set to pull air through the radiator would be better. Not a big issue but you will be sending hot air out the side panel meaning your fans will have to work harder to cool down the water from the AIO pump.

    • @InfamazDre

    Yeah, it sure is nice of Lian Li not allowing a rad on top unless you buy their adaptor kit, really understanding of them. Meanwhile my case arrives Friday and the soonest I can get the adaptor kit is next week. So looks like I won't be installing my rad on top. I'm pretty pissed. I'll have to figure something out, if that means drilling some holes and using zip ties to secure the rad to the top of the case then that's what I'll do, or better yet just sitting the rad on top of the case until i can get the adaptors delivered next week.

    Still like the looks of the regular o11 mini even if you are limited to a smaller power supply

    • @daviniarobbins9298
      @daviniarobbins9298 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought that too. Being limited to SFX power supplies in a Mini isn't a big deal. They cost about the same as a full ATX PSU anyway. I doubt anyone would use this case for a X299 board(just an example off the top of my head, don't reply saying this board is out of date, it probably is) and two graphics cards anyway.

  • @daviniarobbins9298
    @daviniarobbins9298 ปีที่แล้ว

    Cable management is easier if you do it as you are going along in a build. I wouldn't leave it until the last step but am a bit OCD and that is just my opinion. If you aren't bothered about the back being tidy it isn't a big deal as no one is going to see it. If one is OCD it is a big deal. It is a shame the drive cage isn't removable on this case though. That has been fixed on the O11D Mini version though you are limited to SFX and SFX-L PSUs.

    Nice looking build but there's some strange odd choices? First I would move those RTX cables up, above the graphic card to not block airflow for the card. Also negative air pressure where you have more exhaust fans than intake is not a good thing and it's a recipe for dust build up.

    I didn't have a good experience with those Cooler Master 240 aio's. They're affordable but mine started making noise a few months after I purchased it at Micro Center. There was air in the loop and it was making noise.
    I had the extended warranty with MC so I exchanged it for another one with an updated pump. Same model. Same thing happened 5 months later. I exchanged it for an msi one with the pump built into the radiator and over 7 months in no noises. I also have a Strix LC 6800 XT which has its own aio and have had it since December using it all the time and no noise either.

    I love your 360 Galahad video , it was very helpful and I did get the lights working and the fans came to life too … I am hoping you can help me find out where I have gone wrong as my Gigabyte BIOS tells me I have on CPU fans are not running !? My board is a GIGABYTE ARUS PRO Ax B560M intel , and it does not have the same layout as yours . This is my first ever computer build , only I remember you saying how important it is to plug your CPU fan into the right header , well I followed you painstakingly and to my joy it all came on , only the CPU is not showing up , you mentioned pump header , but my 2 ? I do have a CPU -OPT but this fan is showing up in bios but not the CPU , my top fan header is Named CPU Fan that is I followed you by plugging in that 3 cable daisy chain fan headers , but for some reason it did it work , May be it’s that cable ?!?as I had to end up placing the fan headers in a cheep extension cable holding up to 5 fan plus a cpu header as the fans did not work properly , it was like they where moving a little but then stop I was even able to give a little push and it would get going , I don’t understand as it a brand new unit too !?! If you have any insights or advice or suggestions that would be much appreciated thanks again

    • @regwatson2017

      Funny you should say that. I have the exact same motherboard and quite a few RGB case fans from several different manufacturers and all I can see is the AIO pump fan speed in the BIOS - all the others are showing 0 rpm although clearly working. I am positive I plugged everything into the motherboard exactly as per the manual (via the hubs) and as per Christopher's videos. I thought maybe I needed to change a setting in the BIOS to get them working but couldn't find anything that looked that was the fix. Did you ever work out what the issue was ? Is it because we are going through the hubs so the motherboard can't read the fans ? After typing this I just saw Christopher address that and he had the same issue of 0rpm readings (I also have a couple of Lian Li fans). So the answer is if you use a hub bad luck - you need to plug into the motherboard to get readings. I thought that was the whole point of using a hub was that you could still get readings even if you had more fans than motherboard headers because you could plug them into the hub !!! How useless is that ?

    • @daviniarobbins9298
      @daviniarobbins9298 ปีที่แล้ว

      Who has the money for 4080s and 13900s anyway? The new 4000 range of graphics cards are over £1000, some are as much as £2000. The 13900K CPU costs nearly £700(if it is the very top of the range i9 CPU).
      The 3000 range are much cheaper. A 3060TI with 8GB onboard is more reasonable priced(compared to other cards that is) at about £520. An i5 costs about £320 or an i7 at around £400-ish. Most people will do okay with an i5 or i7. You don't need an i9 for gaming unless you plan on doing things like video editing, photo manipulation and other CPU intensive tasks that requires all those extra cores. Most games today only use 6 cores if that. Heck even an i3 will be fine with most modern games if you compromise on FPS.

      I think they are compatible. Top, side and bottom will take 140mm fans but you are limited to 120mm at the rear.

    I would like to know if you have a link for the Lian Li radiator offset mount bracket kit? or where to buy, I'm in the USA.

    Christopher, So I am building one right now first build. I have 5 sets of lian li fans with a NZXT Z63. With there only being 4 in the controller. Did you use a second controller. I feel like you said that but I didn't see it in the video. Or would I just use the cords coming off the Kraken AIO?

    I'm building in this case with a b550m pro. I've been doing some looking around but can't find a definite answer. I want to go over kill with fans because I'm sticking to air cooling. can my mother board support up to 8 fans if I get the right cables/connectors?
    Edit: after watching your fan config video, I've chosen to add a 280mm aio to the front of the case lmao. Thank you for your videos

    Can I put 2x 3.5hdd or 2.5 SSD at the bottom of the case?

    I know this is a year old video but is there someone who knows if it is possible to use this case with ATX motherboard and NZXT X/Z63 (280mm AIO), in top case possition, with the distance brackets ofc.

    Are this normal 25mm Fans at the bottom? On Their own site they say With atx Board only 20mm Fans will fit

    Hey, I have the same case and mobo. The 3.5mm port in the top/front doesn't seem to fit 3.5mm inputs properly and doesn't seem to work or be identified on my computer as an output, any ideas?

    Aren’t two 140’s up top better than 3 120’s?

    I just connected two uni Controllers as well but I’m having the issue where I can’t control fan speeds. I noticed your rpm numbers are wrong on the software and mine were as well. Have you had any similar issues?

    Hello, can you explain to me your intake and output for fans? It looks to me like you have 4 intakes at the from and bottom with 6 total output fans. Is this correct and if so is that good and why?

    Pour ceux qui sont français et qui regarde, comment il a mis son radiateur c'est pas bon il doit mettre les tuyaux vers le bas. Comme il a fait ça crée des bulles d'air
