I refilled my 05 yukon t-case after 52 ounces leaked out. It holds 64 ounces total. I ran out of auto trak fluid after 26 ounces and made a mix of 50/50 merc3 atf to 10w30 motor oil for the rest. So far so good. I understand any ATF is fine. I put a little oil to add to lubrication since it ran short for an unknown time period.

the manual says Dexron VI but an online source the transfer case can take MTF (New Venture 261-NP2), Auto Trac II (New Venture 246-NP8), or Dexron VI ATF (All Others)
Do not over tighten the drain / fill plugs, I did and cracked my case :( you live and you Learn. I barely even put any pressure on it. I didn’t have a torque wrench..

Why did you use dexron VI transmission fluid instead of Ac delco auto trak II transfer case fluid like what was in there?

What's your recommendation as far as tightening by hand without anything that tells me what the torque is?
AutoTrack is only for vehicles with the "Auto" button on their 4x4 switch, per my local dealership.
