    Ordered several things from Temu. I got a wheel brush that is identical to the Microfiber Madness Incredi wheel brush. Works fantastic for a whopping $4. Got a bunch of yard items. So are winners. Some not so much. Everything in this industry doesn’t have to cost hundreds of dollars to be regarded as decent. I think most would be shocked on the mark up on some of the detailing products people buy.

    For a budget minded enthusiast, yes, I can see value to these products for sure. They surely get the job done just like the big boys although, yes, most aren't on par quality wise, but if you do take care of the products, they would probably give you many years of use, especially for an enthusiast not using the tools on a daily basis like a professional detailer does. For a weekend warrior, this stuff would work ok and probably give you similar results as if you were using the high end stuff! I love that bottle organizer because those things (no matter what the brand) are WAY too high priced. My Dad is a welder by trade so he can make all that stuff in aluminum for me which is a plus, but we definitely need some lower priced options when it comes to the wall mounted bottle holders and polisher holders. Using thick polycarbonate plastic is no problem for me as an enthusiast as long as it's built to a decent quality and will do the job. Just make it a third of the price of the metal ones! We need a good company or person to take on the big boys and give detailing enthusiasts a low cost option that's decent quality and you'd probably sell thousands of them! Those little brushes are pretty cool too. I've seen those on Amazon for the past year but I haven't broken down and bought a set yet but after seeing your review I am definitely going to grab a set of those, especially that little pointed one. I can see value of that in the corners and hard to reach places. Even those wheel brushes for the price, are halfway decent $7 or so. You can usually get those brushes along with a set of the 5 little ones for like ten bucks! Again, for the weekend enthusiast who wants half way decent tools, these really aren't that bad. Just ensure you FLUSH OUT the foam cannon after every use, and it will probably give you years of service. I have a cheapo foam cannon from ten years ago that cost $10 and it still works! The key to giving your cannon long life is ensuring you flush it with clean water after every use! That's pretty much it. Maybe replace the inside filter and o-rings every few years but those kits are cheap and readily available for a couple bucks on Amazon. I have several of the "clone" brushes that look similar The Detail Factory brushes and believe it or not, the ones that I got a great quality. You almost can't tell the difference and they work exactly the same. I have both the real ones and the clones and both work GREAT! Especially when it comes to the big Curveball Brush. The clone is half the price and I dare you to find the difference. They work identical! I got mine for like $14 instead of the $40 for the real Curveball. If an enthusiast does a little research and shopping around, they can really get some good deals out there. Malco, ARDEX, PRO Detailing Products, and Auto Magic are some good companies to check out too for great detailing products for very reasonable prices. They cater to the professional detailer more than the enthusiast, but their products are very economical and they work great! You could literally get GALLONS of concentrated products for much cheaper than a 16oz bottle of the big boys stuff! And it works just as good, sometimes much better than the stuff you get at the retail stores in your community. Most of the professional chemical and tool companies have local distributors and reps that will take care of you near your own community so it's a more personal experience and you get to speak with the distributor directly. When I first got into more serious detailing, the town I lived in had a full blown local Auto Magic retail distribution store so i always stocked up my supplies there! Good information Josh. I always enjoy your channel because you highlight a lot of more affordable options which allow weekend warriors who are on a budget to be able to get as good of results as you get with the big boys stuff! While it's not all quality stuff and there really are some "Zonkers" out there, you let us know where it's at on the scale based on your professional experience. There are some really great less expensive options out there that work as good or in some cases exactly like the more expensive brands.

    I’ve ordered a bunch of stuff from temu I’ll write down below my experience.
    I ordered weighted straw tubes to put on my foam cannons. On some they work like the sooprinse and also a red and black foam cannon on temu it fit no problem. On my pf22 it did not fit but a small zip tie got it to tighten on.
    I got a silicone headlamp with a LED strip across the forehead and a flashlight on the side. I love that thing! Super bright great for interiors.
    I got 2 different spray guns. The simple small guns you typically find on Amazon and it was exactly the same as the ones on Amazon. Also got one that looks like the mckillans and it worked no issues. I didn’t have any leaks and all held pressure and lasted 10+ washes haven’t had any issues yet.
    Got that same tire brush all black and pretty stiff bristles can’t really mess that up.
    Also got the detail factory curveball dupe and it feels and looks the exact same. I still don’t get the hype with this brush tho
    I found a 10pk of microfiber applicator pads with a pocket on the back I love these for dressing tires.
    Got a bucket caddy exactly like the buckanizer. Solid great for wheel tools
    Grit guard eh it was flimsy and came bent
    Wide mouth foam cannon. I really like it I also ordered 1.1 orfice for it and it made good foam
    I got hex polishing pads. Ehh they’ll work but expect a use or 2 out of them
    Found a microfiber wash pad i love this thing it feels soft and holds a good amount of water
    Curved Extension want it’s 15in it’ll do the job but definitely prefer the 21in version. But does have a spot to hold nozzles which is cool
    Microfiber towels 10pk 10x10 they’re good kitchen towels
    Got a drying towel but it was too thin and shed allot
    I found a set of black nitrile gloves. I love them perfect for detailing but not so much mechanic work

By the way you were the main reason why I pulled the trigger on the Ryobi 1800 1.2, thing still works like a champ!

  • @steev182
    @steev182 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    One thing not to get from TEMU - a 50ft pressure hose. I buggered up with that one! It kinks and tangles (but it does work at not leaking and being longer than the stock Ryobi hose, so it has that going for it. I am ordering one of your recommendations instead though as it is a pain to fully extend and put away.
    The foam cannon, 1.1mm orifice, brushes, LED light, drying towel, interior brushes and wheel brush are great though.

    it hurts my back and my shoulder when I detail my cars at home. I wish there was something I can do to make it easier to clean the car. I washed and waxed the car today and using the da and wiping the car killed my shoulder, but the car looks nice. I’ve used aliexpresss over the past year with good luck. From detailing to led lights, quality stuff at a fraction of the normal US price. Obviously you have to do your research and know what your buying. But I’ve heard Temu is a shady company and wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve heard less of that with aliexpresss. The only thing is aliexpresss doesn’t do returns on many items as shipping back to china usually costs more than the item. So when buying something I look at it as non returnable item.

    • @imjoshv

      I’m pretty sure Temu is just another platform that sellers list products on. Many of these items can probably be found on other platforms too but this removes the middle man for extra savings. With that said, I am in no way on support of slave labor. Even apple has some complaints about that

    • @goodbusiness9674
      @goodbusiness9674 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The phone you typed this on has parts made from slave labor. Unless you produce everything yourself and live out in the woods you don’t have any argument to stand on.

      The definition of what is considered as slave labour is arguable.Some people literally say a 9-6 office job is slave labour and always promote their indicidual businesses.Temu might be just losing money from sales but compensating it through third party services possibly

    Nice prices, however, I am trying to reduce what I buy from Communist China. I know much of the other products we buy are from American companies who are importing some of their products from China. I guess TEMU eliminates the middleman and could impact American jobs. You may want to review your decision about working with a direct from China company

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea I do appreciate American made products unfortunately most of the things we buy these days are from overseas. I just want to try and highlight some good cost savings for people. If we could have everything made in the USA I would definitely support that
