If you notice the coils on the snake, they only go in the tightening direction, you can’t reverse it like you did trying to take off a bolt. Also with that one you didn’t compare a more expensive model which would have done the same thing. If you could maybe loosen something with it, a wood screw would be the extent. 2. When testing the strength of the 1/4 adapters, you used a stubby socket, which only applied torque to the area before the necked down portion of the bit which is there to lock it into a bit driver. When installed into a bit driver this area doesn’t see torque as the load is spread across the upper and lower 1/4 area. Next time use a deep socket 1/4 and see what the difference is. *AND the did not use the snake drill extender correctly, either.* The issue is that this is a show made mostly for entertainment, not for actually testing things, so it is done sloppily.
That's not how it works. Torque is distance x force so if you hold it further from the end you will just have to apply more force to get the same torque. If you had a 100 ft long bar with a 1lb weight and a 1 ft long bar with a 100lb weight both are 100 ft lbs of torque

The whole test went by so quickly I couldn't be sure of the technique, but it really seemed like he slammed the Tekton wrench versus easing up to the click as you should. There were several reasons I felt that the test was done more to crank up the amount they could spend on a sword versus making the test valid. 1. @@glareicebutts1423 Jeremiah joining a pro-racing team comes to mind. Or the $10,000 off-roader across the US. Those were an insane amount of work for one video
Quick note, anytime with a click type torque wrench it's good practice to give it a few clicks before doing a to-spec torque. The spring steel inside needs to stretch out a bit before it's closer to where it should be. This is not just the standards org being tricky, but something you guys found on the tool party vid with torque wrenches. Next time before doing a review to see how close a torque wrench is, give it a few clicks on a welded bolt.
Yep. The US Air Force actually has a procedure for this. 6 clicks at max torque or at least the highest torque the wrench will be used at before each shift.
Yep, all torque wrenches need to be broken in with 6 to 10 clicks at high torque before use. I made the mistake of not doing this on my first wrench years ago, thought it was faulty, then I read the manual which shows the break in process and it is still going strong.
9:53 You likely snapped the adapters at the thinned down section. when they are used as intended, they are clamped in a drill chuck, which holds these things on both sides of the neckdown, getting around that weak point. Sure, stuffing those into the hex collet of an impact driver is tempting, but they are not designed for that. The thinned neck that you find on many Bit holders, adapters, hex shank drills and whatnot is designed to be compatible with a few very weird drill chucks, which are somewhat quick to release, but not universal at all. Those lock into that necked down section and drive the implement from both sides of the thinned section.
The snake they demolished is not for anything heady. It is meant for interior screws and such. I threw all of them away as I got them in sets except one. I used it and found out how to use it and now I consider it a very special tool in my box.

It doesn't matter for this test if it was all done by the same wrench as they're equal to each other, but you can't say "It was set to 40 so it can remove 40".

3rd Gen 4runner look best in that Forest Green.
3rd Gen is best Gen! Love my 98.
I had one as my first car in a 5 speed manual for 6 years and I just recently sold mine, already feel such regret since I put so much time and effort in it
@@FirstnameLastname-ni9uh lol I don't think anyone didn't regret selling them, especially manuals. Love my 98 5 speed.
0:27 total missed opportunity with adding 2 gun shot noises lol.
Gotta give up the love for Justin and James on testing the "powa" threshold
It’s always a great day when Donut uploads! ❤
Just gave up the whole Donut Media bank info for a video… gotta love the commitment 🙏🏽
What a dumb comment.
I watched this video while wearing the same shirt as James

For the impact adapters you should have used a longer socket, the shorter socket will cause failure at the notched area
Glad to see that Nolan is really humming right along on the Ol' Buick.

@@liamflynn6929 Either way, a furnace of ambition.
Fun vid, boys! Really happy to see how comfortable Justin is getting on camera.
He really had me giggling at some of the faces and reactions he was giving on this one. Great work as always!
Justin is just so much faster w the bolts then James 😂
I’m a Temu fanatic and I haven’t had any problems with the exception of a projector that it was garbage, everything else it’s been great
Yeah I wouldnt trust tech or any food/beauty products that would put chemicals on your skin/body. Otherwise stationary, kitchen/bathroom, clothes, toys, etc, seem safe.
Yeah aside from the info stealing just get simple stuff that you dont put on your body or in your body. I wouldnt trust that stuff
Donut finally jumping on the Temu bandwagon. Those fedoras at the end though 😂😂😂
Because it’s cheap reaction content….which is almost all of their videos now sadly.
@@SteveLordthey’ve definitely put out some pretty special vids in the past few months, i’d say it’s fair
@@glareicebutts1423 Jeremiah joining a pro-racing team comes to mind. Or the $10,000 off-roader across the US. Those were an insane amount of work for one video
Yea another company on the pro slave made good bandwagon. Well another channel to un-sub from....
Justin brings so much joy
I just gotta say James your intro intensity is always so amazing.
All that just for the price of privacy
The waving in the reflection at 11:13 was great! 😂
This needs to be like a 25 minute run time
Quick note, anytime with a click type torque wrench it's good practice to give it a few clicks before doing a to-spec torque.
I made the mistake of not doing this on my first wrench years ago, thought it was faulty, then I read the manual which shows the break in process and it is still going strong.
the way I got HYPE when the temu drill beat the Amazon drill
James doing Yoshimitsu spin move is gem 😂
So happy to see you guys have a 3rd gen 4Runner added to the fleet. As a 3rd gen owner, I can’t wait to see what you do with it!

You likely snapped the adapters at the thinned down section. when they are used as intended, they are clamped in a drill chuck, which holds these things on both sides of the neckdown, getting around that weak point.
Those lock into that necked down section and drive the implement from both sides of the thinned section.
i miss the old donut
They gotta make these videos occasionally to help fund their bigger projects like HiLow dawg. This channel is expensive as hell to run
Up to speed terrano 1
I wouldn't trust Temu with my pants let alone my tools.
temu products are lifesavers for middle class people, reliable and cheap
Temu is basically malware
How about a durability test & against actual brands
Justin is too much awesome! I want him in every video. Him and Jeremiah are my favs.
The snake they demolished is not for anything heady. It is meant for interior screws and such. I threw all of them away as I got them in sets except one. I used it and found out how to use it and now I consider it a very special tool in my box.
Yeah I see those more often being marketed to and treasured by people who work with electronics. One of those made building my PC a breeze.

Right when i thought scams over at wish was over. Temu comes out of nowhere to continue the scamming...
I haven't had an issue yet. Are people expecting top quality stuff or something?
Wait what happend to wish then?
@@llama2022the scam isn’t the low quality, the scam is the app is almost certainly malware and the cheap products are just a ruse to get you to install the app. Before Temu they had another shopping app called Pinduoduo that was removed from the Google Play store for being malware; the app could read all your messages, see all your notifications, change your settings, once it was installed they could see anything and everything on your device and they were sending all that data back to China. What do you think the chances are that they made one shopping app that was really a spying / hacking app, got busted, and then made a legit shopping app that isn’t malware?
It's not a scam if you go into it knowing you're getting cheaply made goods
@@RingoYoteidk some of that stuff that is miniature versions of what they bought is 100% a scam, not "cheaply made products" they def do some scamming
Bro really called Amazon prime a name brand 💀
Finally, donut no longer oversaturates their video colors...
Even if the product somehow would be equal in value i would always prefer paying double the amount for a non china equivalent just to not support authoritarian china.

Mustang wouldn’t have had a chance if it wasn’t for cleetus. True sportsmanship from cleetus letting they guys use his shop and then have them in final!
I cant believe you guys sold your soul
3:11 35 dollars*
No they mean the difference. The temu one cost 35 the amazon cist 100. The difference is 65.
1:36 Oooh nice clean timeline! Me likey! 😊
I hope Donut is not selling their soul out to companies like Temu just for some money because I’ll unsubscribe as I’m sure others will too.
"Javn" your self a hood time " cracked me to up😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
absolutely love this channel! so funny, the coats worn the end got me
I love that Justin breaks everything he touches
You can’t count the time to move to the next bolt. That time will vary depending on the user of the tool. Time should start only when the tool is on.
Great production like always. By the way, did you get the hat and the shirt at the end from Temu too? 😂😂😂😂
I watch these videos while I wash dishes. Makes washing my dishes less dreadful 😅
Hi guys, I have a challenge for you. There is a TON of advertising for frame straighteners. I bought a ten ton ram. The challenges is this. Do they actually produce 10 tons of force. Cheers Pete from the Land Down Under.
I’m a heavy duty mechanic and been buying some tools from Temu and love em some better then my expensive tools
4:30 You could plug that camera into your Mac and just use the standard camera app on the Mac. Pretty simply and no sketchy app needed.
The sword at the end was 100% worth watching all the way to the end!
That flex adaptor is designed for screws on an impact. I have a dewalt equivilent 90° flex adaptor. The casing isnt as stong as the actual drive parts and will do this with a drill not set to slip after the first thing to resist removal. An impact(or drill using the clutch) wont twist it, but in full drill mode it kills itself.
Perfect for what i do in HVAC, mainly re&re's that require removing sheet metal screws. I would never even thing of anything automotive bigger than a 10mm bolt. Realisticly think "could ibremove it with a philips head" if not dont even try
Genuinely just got notification from Temu while watching ur vid😂😂
When breaking extension/bits be careful because where they break at is very sharp. Next time maybe use a board with a hole in it to hold the bit instead of your hand. My cousin was tightening something with a cheap allen wrench set and it broke and filleted his hand open
Hi guys. I am a cameraman and a video editor from Greece. I have been looking at your content for a few months and I love it. Keep an eye on temu because many people have complained about credit theft and charges that pops up on their credit cards with small amounts of money.
6:15 That stare caught me off guard lol
As a metrologist by trade I would caution people that the torque applied to a bolt does not equal the torque it will take to remove it. I often had to correct QA sergeants in the USAF for trying to use that method to test whether they were properly torqued.
It doesn't matter for this test if it was all done by the same wrench as they're equal to each other, but you can't say "It was set to 40 so it can remove 40".
6:13 Caught me off guard 😂😂
Sorting price from high to low was the hottest flex i've seen
2:15 AYYY seesii made my impact gun 9/10 👌
9:30 dont torque on the outside of the retainer groove, its severely compromised, try them again wile they are broken they are way stronger now..
The socket adapters from Harbor Freights "Warrior" brand remove the lug nuts off my truck that are torqued to 140 Lb/ft using a Dewalt impact driver. I've used them for a few years now and haven't broken one yet.
