  • Since I took delivery of my Model S, I noticed that the right rear door handle has not been working properly. Huge issue as this is our pup Bailey's door, and she will simply not tolerate this! So I used the Tesla App to make a service appointment. Take a look at this video to see what happened... Enjoy!

Tesla mobile service is great! I had mobile service here in Witten (Germany) three times. The first time I had them here was to replace the rear seats of my first Model 3, because they shipped the car over to Europe with the seats folded and the seat belt buckles out which left marks on the vegan leather. Second time mobile service was here just a month later due to water in the left taillight. The third time mobile service replaced a scratched interior panel on the A pillar that was damaged while transporting my second Model 3 from Giga Shanghai to Germany. Mobile service did a great job so far. So thumbs up and thank you mobile Tesla service in the Dortmund (Germany) area.

I’ve worked for BMW for almost 17 years now. You should see inside a BMW 7 series with automatic roller sun blinds and security glass. Lots to take apart.

I’ve used mobile service 3 times and it was great! I liked just being able to pick the day and time in the app.

Wow that was pretty impressive. He probably wanted to come while you were at work so you wouldn't be there to watch and film him complete the repair. Haha just kidding.

I have found the Tesla Rangers exceptionally helpful. Since the Schamburg Service Center is 60 miles away from my home, it is much more convenient to have them come to me than to take a big. part of the day going to them. They will even rotate your tires in your garage for a very reasonable price.

Hi Dave. New owner, needed service at my house twice due to frunk that would not close. It took two attempts to fix, I am still afraid to use frunk because speed is limited to only 15 mph if it doesn’t “latch”. I didn’t ask to video, assumed they wouldn’t like that. Very happy that I didn’t need to take it to SC as that is 100 miles round trip. Unfortunately, my wife is a Tesla hater and calls it a Lemon!

lol tell your wife to watch e for electrics video on his ID4 software issues. I wouldn't buy any other ev for software alone.

Tesla needs to make a van

I was just thinking that it would be ironic if this was why Tesla finally started making vans. XD If they do make a van they’ll have a whole fleet of workers ready to advertise with!
Also non-Tesla ev related service people will probably also thank them for giving them more options to choose from or options in general.

Hey Dave I got a question, do you still have the warranty that comes with the car from factory? Or do you not have it because you bought it used?

Dave would you rather a retractable cargo shelf in the trunk?Or do you prefer the standard shelf that came with your model S? I currently own a MYP and I have added an aftermarket retractable shelf.
    Thanks.

I usually don’t like either and take them out. But, I kinda like the hard shelf as you can put things on it when parked and use it for different things

Me too. I hear ya though. This guy was in the marines for 6 years as a mechanic then worked on Diesel engines for 6 years after that. He was clearly a pro and super efficient. The fact that all he did was replace a door handle is only part of the picture. The guy was just super efficient and a true pro.

the guy took apart the whole door and removed the window all in a parking garage with poor lighting. I think that was an incredible feat. Getting the window back in and everything back together without rattles etc. not easy
