Both are true. There are still broken CCS chargers everywhere, but at the Same time EA has made improvements since they first kicked off.
I like Daves videos the best they are simple and useful.

People who hog chargers overnight are garbage. Or at work and leave it plugged in for 8 hours in their trash hybrid with a small battery. EV drivers are the most selfish people I have seen in my few years of having a Ioniq 2019 EV which has a small battery so I often need to hit a DCFC to get home and often see it clogged with dummies
Whenever I plan a road trip in my Model Y, I always pick a city that has a Supercharger in it. This is my bailout option in the event it's the only way I can get a charge.
After that, I'll look at hotels that offer overnight charging, and usually charge up to 80-90%, then move my car in case someone else wants it before I go to bed.
Hopefully more hotels will offer a lot of charging stations so that you can always get a charge no matter what.
The free charging does not help
This video was shot before the race & Kyle explained to Dave the exact same "charge the Lightning to 80% every time and just run it" strategy which Tom told the Lightning team while they were in the race. Kyle's knowledge of EV's is unmatched 👏👏👍
You should drive the vehicles normally instead of not using climate control. Make it a real world test

It's weird. In videos and pictures it looks hideous. But in person when you're right next to it, it's actually not that bad. That's why there's so many positive reactions from random people with TH-camrs who have done Cybertruck videos/road trips.
