@@chrislea1000 Been saying that forever. People talk about "cardboard sets", but there's no reason the old designs can't just be done with modern materials in higher detail.
@@Vipre-the thing is, those old sets worked in part because of the technological limitations of the time. They might not look as good with today’s cameras.
You probably all know (but I had to look up) that “The Trouble With Tribbles” episode actually takes place on the space station “Deep Space K-7”. This was an awesome “prologue” to that episode!
I love how you meshed the old and new SFX and feel of Trek from the TOS era to the TNG era with the phaser sounds, etc. A very respectful treatment of both groups of Trek lovers.
I was born too late to enjoy TOS during its original run, but I got into it during its syndication run a few years before TMP. So from a fan who revered TOS with no expectation beyond the movies of there ever being another series, this video warmed my heart. Thank you. 🖖
Very cute ending. The amount of time you invest in these videos is obvious. The feeling, the tension and action is palpable. Thanks for another banger!!!!
Thank you, really great to see quality work like yours that is so entertaining and respectful of legacy Star Trek! Would love to see your take on the creation, building, and the history of the asteroid outposts of the Federation, built along the Neutral zone with the Romulans!
Chris, I think to say that this is beautiful work only really scratches the surface. One element that really makes your productions amazing is the sound design. Incredibly well mixed and crafted! I really liked the LCARS, and the cool documentary style linking in to the 4 years war! Great work!
Thank you so much, I do appreciate that however YT turned Superthanks on automatically, send me your bank details and I will refund you. Again, thank you 🙏
This is super cool! I'm getting some heavy Edge of Midnight vibes watching this. The bright and sleek Federation ships give me vibes of the SNW Enterprise, which I love. Keep up the good work!
That went by so fast, could have been 4 X longer, it's so good and what most real Star Trek fans would enjoy, you need a true pat on the back for this one, thank you for all the hard work and no doubt too many hours rendering. OH and I love the tribble at the end.
Grats on this. You cover a lot of story in such short time. And use so many of the nice models you had shared previously. I like the character cards in the corner to fit the narrations. And, yes. That final scene was perfect.
This was extremely well made. I wish Paramount would put out stuff like this instead of discovery. I feel there's a lot to explore from this era (Klingon war, Romulan war etc.)
Im not even that big of a TOS fan but it is super cool to see TOS content that isnt just the same boring flybys of the same boring models everyone has done to death already, we need more of this kind of stuff in the fan community
I loved this production. It shows that a show called "The Four-Years War" would have filled the gap between "Enterprise" and the original "Star Trek" very well!
Awesome! Love all the details and not to mention the other ships you used, like the Red Sea! The last part of the video was pretty cool too, nice touch
@@chrislea1000 what!!! Really? How do you find your ship ideas? Pinterest? I design star ships as well and am always looking for new ideas. Just wondering.

Fantastic work, as always. Especially love seeing the Franz Joseph ships in such well done vids. Perhaps some day you can do one that features his Starfleet HQ space station?
Thanks for this, as someone who bought the TOS tech manual (around 1990?) which showed those classes of ship, the single nacelle'd one, and especially the transport with modules? This is amazing to watch.
I love the Saladin/Hermes classes. Aside from the Constitution Class, those are my favorite TOS ship designs. I even made my own model of a Saladin Class.
As a huge fan of both SFB and the FASA RPG, I can very much appreciate the scout class vessels and the Yorktown (with the NCC-1704 label). This was well done. I will be using it to inspire to SFB players.
Wow, that was great, it's the epitome of classic trek. I also saw what you did there with a certain ship class; nice! They really need to call you for the next TOS era trek movie.
I love this!! I will never understand why modern Trek showrunners think these sci-fi aesthetics are outdated. Sometimes you just can't beat a classic.
Just need some slight updates to materials

The tribble was a nice touch.

Soon the crew of K-7 would learn there was a greater possible threat to the station than the Klingons, and it was a ball of fluff.
