Been watching since 2015 when I was in high school; I'm currently in my last year of community college, about to graduate in May before transferring to university. At this point next year in 2025, I hope to be watching your Best and Worst lists from my first apartment as I attend classes at Yale, my dream choice! Enough about me, happy New Year to Jeremy and everyone here!
I appreciate that Chris Stuckman changed the format of his channel to only review movies he liked. Now i dont even need to watch his videos. If it exists he liked it, if i didnt he didn't. Saves me a lot of time.
It’s critiques like “the joker 2 should have had joker take over Gotham” that makes the whole thesis of Joker Folie a Deux more prevalent and just went over everyone’s heads. Arthur Fleck had the joker identity thrust upon him by the people around him, but he could never meet the lofty expectations his followers idealized him to be, especially with Lee. The movie and the director holds up the mirror to Arthur’s supporters (i.e. the audience) and shows how willing we are to see someone who is clearly suffering through a mental health crisis, and is calling for help, undertake violence as a means for their self-actualization. Rather than helping someone at their lowest point, we’re willing to push them to a point of violent rage for our own self-gain. So when he rejects the identity (or in this case, Todd Philips refusing to give the sequel fans expected), it turned people against Arthur.
Crazy Jeremy Jahns calls the strangers back in the day when it came out only 13 months before movieman191 posted his review about transformers revenge of the fallen

Abominations abound in the latest film in the Godzilla/King Kong franchise, with The New Empire playing out like a Mad Libs version of a monster movie, a soulless production that doesn’t know how to properly showcase either its human or monster characters. It consists of nothing more than a hodgepodge of nonsensical fights and more examples of deus ex machina than have ever been employed in a single film. And almost every person in the film is only present to deliver perfunctory lines about what the various monsters are doing in order to give a reason for the movie to move from one place to another.
My top ten worst list: 1. Joker 2 2. Mean Girls (2024) 3. I.S.S 4. Bad Boys: Ride or Die 5. Kraven the Hunter 6. Venom: The Last dance 7. Argyle 8. Millers' girl 9. A Quiet Place: Day one 10. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
@NeoConnor1 I agree but part of the enjoyment of being in the movie scene is discussing movies. No one’s asking Stuckman to speak poorly about those who made it but there’s nothing wrong with giving your opinion, even if against majority. Plus, when he did it before, there was no issue.
Hollywood doesn't seem to really care about quality anymore, just virtue-signalling and making money. Sadly, like many businesses, the bean-counters have taken over. They've no long-term strategy, as their bonus structure is usually short-term. Originality is a swearword, hence the number of remakes and sequels. When they do stumble onto something good, it is milked and done to death. Add to that toxic mix the fact that streaming and home cinema is taking a big bite out of their lunch, and you have a dire situation. Covid lockdowns put film making on hold for almost two years, and people got out of the habit of going to the cinema. Rising ticket (and ancillary) prices make it an expensive night out. Add to this the fact that few movies of the recent movie releases have any draw factor (with a few notable exceptions such as Top Gun Maverick) and you have an industry in trouble and trying to reinvent itself. It is a real shame. However, this isn't cinema's first rodeo, so I hope it will reinvent itself if given enough time, as watching a good film on the big screen is a magical experience. I'll never forget the thrill of watching the opening sequence to Star Wars at the Dominion, Tottenham Court Road. Truly epic.

Why does Hollywood insist on greenlighting an origin story for a Disney villain or secondary character which is totally unnecessary? Extra money, is probably the answer.
Matt Damon explains this quite well. Essentially because of the death of physical copies of movies (obviously people still collect them and they do exist, but most watch on netflix or w.e) the movie industry has lost a fairly large part of income that was previously almost guaranteed. and so studios now have to make most/all of their money back on a movie in it's initial theater release, and the best way to get people to go see a movie is if it's a sequel/prequel, or otherwise tied to an existing IP. it's why there aren't very many original things these days and so much of it is just bs that nobody cares about.

Jeremy's reveiw for Joker 2 made more of a profit than the film did! Isn't that crazy to think about? 😂
Happy New Year, Jeremy! It's unsurprising that Madame Web, Borderlands, Joker 2 and the Crow appeared on your list, as they were undeniable flops.
Along with Venom 3 and Kraven this was a rough year for the studio.
At 8:10, I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of bowlcuts suddenly cried out in terror
I love this channel thankyou for another great year Jermey see you on your most anticipated video
Great video!!! This list is pretty accurate for me. Happy New Year and thanks for being our the honest reviewer!
Another year of watching Jeremy Jahns! Thank you for all of your honest and entertaining reviews in 2024, alongside every prior year thus far!
Salem's Lot was such a bummer. It was a great-looking film but everything else fell apart. Thanks to Nosferatu for saving the day.
We love you Jeremy! The only person I trust when it comes to movie recommendations.
Happy New Year Jeremy! Thanks for another year of movie reviews. You're still my favorite movie reviewer!
I love how the drink has become a symbol of bad reviews 😆
Just like he said. The glass of scotch is more of a character than the Crow is in The Crow 😂
MegaFLOPolis is easily #1 from me. From the shady marketing tactic to the horrible execution, that movie was straight garbage
I wonder if Chris actually gets his feelings hurt when his friends are reviewing the worst movies. 😂
I don’t think he cares, to be honest…
I appreciate that Chris Stuckman changed the format of his channel to only review movies he liked.
Now i dont even need to watch his videos. If it exists he liked it, if i didnt he didn't. Saves me a lot of time.
Love ya Jeremy ❤️ fastest click of all year when I got the notification
And the legend was born 🎇
Thank you for a great year of reviews J! We love ya!
Happy new years brother 🎉 love your videos
Imo, the acolyte was the worst piece of entertainment, disregarding that it is not a movie. What a spiteful piece of shit that was.
Okay. Mad respect for Jeremy. Many critics are too scared to be genuine.
Every time i see Jeremy, i cant help but remember how young he looked in his early videos, just a kid, but then again werent we all?
Let's hope 2025 will be AWESOMETACULAR
I dunno if 2025 will be good as far as movies are concerned.
Although only Wild Robot has that verdict.
Another stellar year of movie criticism, Double J. Thanks for the work, and all the best in the new year.
Love you Jeremy ❤
Happy New Year Jeremy!! Thanks for your videos!! Have a great one!
Mufasa is basically the Solo of 2024. Let's be real.
Who would have thought that Lion King property would lose to Sonic?
@bighand1530 The same way Solo lost to Deadpool 2. Tale as old as time.
My jersey mikes just got here and Jeremy just dropped a video, it’s a good day
Supplies needed for this indeed 😂
Thank you Jeremy for keeping it real and happy new years!
By far the earliest I've commented
Damn Kraven hunting venom is genius!!!!!
It's not too late.
Make sure you get credited for the idea though Jeremy!
Is already in video game and Kraven Get the dead he want.
One with Honor.
Joker 2019: best movie of the year
Joker 2024: worst movie of the year
Haven't seen this big drop off from og to sequel since pacific r... Oh wait my mistake, that movie didn't have a sequel
I wonder what it's like to live in your own reality. Tell me: are you happy?
It was the best of times and it was the worst of times for horror in 2024. Happy New Year, Jeremy!
12:36 wait a trailer is coming out today?
You’re not the brightest bulb are you
@@outtamagazinehur hur instead of being helpful you decide to be a JA
He's referring to the 27 theory. Where anything GTA related happens on the 27th
@@SomethingInTheGroundit’s the 28th….
@@ares12351 he probably made this video yesterday 🤦
Generic comment, but I love the best and worst lists from Jeremy, thanks man!
I feel like 90% of the movies that come out nowadays are trash.
You have seriously liimited options
And I feel like that number might be low balling it. Lol
And I think you are full of it.
No...thank you, sir. You remain a class act with style and moxie. You speak for people like me when no other TH-camr does. I like the cut of your jibb. 👍 Here's to another 15 years of seeing you in my notifications 🍻
It's okay, we all have objectively wrong opinions sometimes.
My top ten worst list: 1. Joker 2 2. Mean Girls (2024) 3. I.S.S 4. Bad Boys: Ride or Die 5. Kraven the Hunter 6. Venom: The Last dance 7. Argyle 8. Millers' girl 9. A Quiet Place: Day one 10. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
Thank you for doing what Mr. Stuckman refuses to
Stuckmann doesn't owe any of us a dang thing. Leave him be. You know what they say: those who can't create, criticize.
@NeoConnor1 I agree but part of the enjoyment of being in the movie scene is discussing movies. No one’s asking Stuckman to speak poorly about those who made it but there’s nothing wrong with giving your opinion, even if against majority. Plus, when he did it before, there was no issue.
@@burntcheerio775then why do you care if he “refuses” you guys are so weird with bringing Chris up for no reason 😭💀 rent free I swear
@@NeoConnor1 why are you so sensitive to a joke that Chris will never read?😂
@deafgwipps Because we love Chris and want to hear his opinions, that’s why people watch him lmao
I have no been a subscriber for 10 years and I have enjoyed pretty much every video. Thank you Jeremy and here’s to another 10 years 🍻
Admit it people: this is the fun list
At least we will always have the original Crow movie.
I loved Joker Folie A Deue it got unnecessary hate only thing i didn't like is the ending.
I’m surprised Megalopolis didn’t make this list. I rarely (twice in my life) have walked out of a movie in the middle of it. This was one of them.
Truly epic.
Bob Igor's Disney ; "Creative Bankruptcy (soon to be actual bankruptcy) Inc.". Congrats on another great year of reviewage JJ and here's to many more.
Deadpool & Wolverine is garbage
I agree.
Absolutely agreed
“But but there was references!1!! And… references!!”
@@user-x7dc2pq7n I’m over that ship at this point.
It was literally the definition of the word SLOPE
Joker should be #1 because Joker was the biggest letdown on this list shit the biggest letdown of the year if am being honest😫
I called It! "The Crow" is an insult to Brandon Lee's memory and everyone who watched the true original..in fact when they spend so many year's In development "Hell" and the casting choice changes that many times, that "Should" tell you something..But Bill Skaarsgard is allowed the odd miss..I think he just done this one for something to do..🤫
Gladiator 2 for me. Was laughing at several scenes. Didn't help that I love the original. Joker 2 obviously. Rough year for sequels. Madame Web hit its so bad its good levels imo.
There's a awful lot to pick from in 2024
Often times I share a different perspective from your reviews, but I always appreciate your lists. Regardless of whether I agree with the ratings/rankings, I appreciate you for making these videos. I enjoy listening to them, so thanks again for taking the time.
