You are timeless Jeremy cant believe its been more than a decade ive been watching these end of the year recaps, that might make you feel old but ull never get old in our eyes
Been watching you since around 2015 I think, when I was a freshman in high school. Now I’ve graduated with my masters and have started my first job. Movies became a passion of my own because of you, and before Covid I tried seeing as many movies as possible and posting my own reviews for my friends to see. Haven’t done it in a while since I stopped seeing as many movies since Covid took me out of that routine, but I really want to get back into it.
Jeremy, you absolutely gained more respect from this year. Always glad to watch your dives in film. You are a reviewer with true integrity and unbiased analysis.
Love you bro. I know you don't know me but I'm one of those "been watching since 2011" guys lol. Tbh... You were the first TH-camr/content creator I EVER subscribed to... Now I'm subscribed to over like 40 channels lol. And it all started with my man Jeremy. Till this day I'm locked in. I genuinely don't know where I'd be right now in life had I never discovered this channel
Wild Robot was my film of the year. Its rare for me to connect with a children's movie but watching with my kid was a great experience. There were many tears.
How though, I watched it recently and the movie didn't have a single good scene in it. Its just a montage of "Create problem" seconds later "solution to problem now exists"
It's not just a "children's" movie, it's a family movie. "Overall, The Wild Robot is a thoroughly enjoyable movie with positive themes that appeals to adults and kids alike" It's odd to label a movie created for everyone as a "Kids" movie, just pointing out the obvious.
I used to watch reviews on the escapist magazine and there in some comments somebody mentioned, that this Jeremy Jahns guy really nails reviews and is upbeat about things he likes. I don't know what exactly it is - i love a good tear down - i love well argumented dissections (and you can do all of that), but i come to you for a emotional insight of somebody who really knows a lot of movies and i always feel well informed, entertained and don't go away thinking that nothing is worth watching. In between i think i lost my account, but i've been watching you for so many years and I appreciate you. Many, many people's content I used to watch from back then i don't enjoy anymore, but you stayed. thank you.
Been watching you for at least 12 years now and still come to you for movie guidance😄. Thanx for that man. Hope you keep doing this with all the joy. I know I enjoy it, with millions of others around the globe. That’s pretty crazy if you think about it💪🏽
Was holding out hope Transformers One would get an honorable mention because that movie deserves so much more attention than it got. But this is a good list Jeremy and thank you for another year of having fun talking about movies
I’ve had a few TH-cam channel changes over the years, but I’ve been subscribed to yours in one way or another since at least 2012 when I was a senior in high school. Now I’m 30 and a married home owner. Life goes on, but catching your reviews regularly has been a joy these long years. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Jeremy!
Yeah i never really watched horror films in the past but have tried to expand my horizon the last few years. Was super interested when i saw the trailer and just watched it last week and man i loved it. Movies like this r worth stepping out of my comfort zone cuz it was just so damn entertaining.
10:45 Ive been with you since 2016 (famous Walking Dead Finale), and now we nearing, already in our 40s, I wish we still are here 2034 in or nearing our 50s. Yet im kinda sceptic about it, may be life drives you on a different way, yet would love you are still making videos in 2034
Was not expecting Deadpool and Wolverine. I thought those two characters were a match made in heaven and the mcu did not harm the Deadpool or Wolverine characters whatsoever
I've been watching you since elementary school and now I'm 40 lol. Great pick for number 1 of the year, just watched it yesterday and I was blown away! 😊
I’ve been watching you since I was a young kid. You are the only TH-camr from my childhood that I still watch - I’m 23 now, graduated from college, working a full-time job, and diggin your content 😎 keep it up big bro, you’re the man
Been watching you since I guess around 2015. What drew me in and keeps me coming back is how down to earth you've always been. Your videos feel like conversations you'd have with people exiting the theater. And you always give me a good idea what the overall experience will be like even if I don't always agree with all of your points. Thanks for staying so consistently great over the years Jeremy. Not gonna lie, this year the TV kind of swept the movies for me. I get the feeling movies and TV are going to start becoming more connected as the years go by. There's definitely a push for more "cinematic" TV. But nothing topped "X-Men '97" this year. Absolute peak of the year in terms of storytelling and filmmaking.
Been watching your amazing reviews since I was 30 or so, give or take a few years, and now I am 43 and still just as entertained and JUST as big of a fan of your channel as always too!!
It’s crazy how I’ve been watching Jeremy since 2012 and to this day he is still the best movie critic on TH-cam. It all started with binge watching his Batman reviews (which led to his other reviews lol) getting ready for TDKR. I can count on one hand the amount of times I disagreed with him on a movie. Jeremy is just one of those guys you could sit and have a beer with and have a great conversation about whatever. Thanks JJ for all you do for us and here’s to many more years of great content from you!
@@Hyperguyver2 There we go, can't have anyone praising Dune without a novel elitist trashing on it. Can't you just be happy someone enjoys an adaptation of the work I assume you love?

I have to say, your channel is one of the few that I still enjoy as much today as I did when YT first recommended one of your videos years ago. I did go back and watch all of them. Truly you are in my top 10 channels, maybe even #1, but who's counting ;). Awesometacular indeed!

Love you Jeremy!! Been watching for a long time now, I don’t even know how long cause time just is flying by 😭 I hope your holidays were great! Thanks for being a light in my life for the last decade 🙌🏼
Longtime subscriber since 2009! I was a freshman back then and I loved LOVED your LotR reviews. Fast forward 15yrs later, during which I changed country 3 times, continued my studies, career, and everything, you are still the only reviewer I trust. Though I might not have the time to watch every single one of your videos like I used to, I always go to your channel to check on your opinion on any movie I wish to see. Thank you for being such a constant in my life, Jeremy! Here's to another AWESOMETACULAR year of movies in 2025, and more years to come 🎉🥂
thanks for another year Jeremy & we all appreciate the early uploads for us commuters who listen on the way to work. May your health prosper in the new year
Thanks Jeremy for all these years, just realized this was the first channel I ever subscribed to almost 11 years ago. Reaching 30 now, it's insane man, time really flies...
I guess I’ll add on to it. I’ve been watching you since I was probably 10 or 11 years old. Now, I’m 24, just graduated from my university with a bachelors in film. Crazy how time flies. Thank you for being an inspiration for me to follow my dreams towards being a filmmaker, as your reviews helped cultivate and mend my passion for film, and honestly without your movie reviews, I’d probably be working in some office job or chemical plant hating my life. So, thank you, Jeremy. Here’s to a great 2025 with great movies 🎉
My love of great film critics started with Siskel & Ebert. Then, when Gene Siskel passed away, Richard Roeper came in, and every Sunday night was ritual to watch their show. Once Roger passed away, time passed, and no one could equal them. Until I came across Jeremy's channel years ago. You stand amongst the best film critics because you understand and truly love films. You earned those 2 million subscribers. Here's looking forward to 2025. It looks to be a great year, and I can't wait to hear what you think
@ Man, I have read it and most adaptations of novels so complex (even The Godfather) have to change up things to fit it for the big screen. Just judge what is on the screen and not what was cut out.
Your channel, SchmoesKnow, ChristStuckmann and WhatTheFlick were the OG movie review channels for me. Few of em started new channels, glad yours is still going strong in the same format. Merry Christmas Jeremy
Found your channel in 2012 when I first became obsessed with movies and I haven’t watched a movie since without immediately watching your review after. You’re a staple of the TH-cam community no matter your sub count
Jeremy, when I was 12 years old my parents decided to send me to the same private school my brothers were going to for high school. It was an hour drive from my house. I wasn’t upset because I had friends there but I was young and that drive sucked. Flash back to 4 months before, I watch your review for “furious 7” never looked back. Went through your back catalogue on the way to school. Listen to you in the car with my dad. That’s my second listen though, because I never miss a notification. You’ve been a huge part of my life. It’s great to hear you care about engagement. Wishing you a great 2025😊
Great list. I’ve been watching your reviews for a while, but have really gotten into watching most of them now that I’m doing content of my own. You truly are the best and an inspiration for small content creators like myself. Have a very Happy New Year.
really glad Nosferatu and heretic made it on here, given Jeremy's review on the first omen, alien Romulus, and long legs I would've expected them to be on here, long legs is my best of the year!
@@bloodhoundreviews4320 I enjoy slowburns when they lead up to something big. This didn't. Hereditary is the perfect example of one of the best slow burn movies ever made.
congrats on 2M and your content is great to watch. I take it Smile 2 was too scary to list. Totally picking that up on DVD. i've not seen your no.1 pick so now i'm totally going to watch it.
Deadpool & Wolverine is actually so good because it somehow manages to be a good superhero movie, while also being heartfelt, while also mocking modern Marvel and Disney, while also being a great parody of the superhero genre in general.
I am a new subscriber (2M...you're welcome) who came here at the reccommendation of Critical Drinker who said you were the best 'traditional' movie reviewer on TH-cam...whatever the hell that means.
Jeremy was one of the first TH-cam film critics I ever watched, I remember the first review I ever saw of his which was the 2014 Godzilla movie, and Im 24 years old, crazy how time flies. Love your content Jeremy, keep up the good work.
This would be my top 10 of 2024, based on what I saw. 1. Anora 2. Dune: Part II 3. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 4. Emilia Perez 5. The Wild Robot 6. The Substance 7. The Brutalist 8. Deadpool and Wolverine 9. My Hero Academia: You're Next 10. Nosferatu Honerable Mentions: a. Wicked b. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes c. Inside Out 2 d. Conclave e. Heretic
It most certainly is. Most won't rank it among the best of the year, but it's among the films I personally enjoyed the most this year, especially since it's from one of my favorite shows.
Been watching you since I was in like 6th or 7th grade watching on my iPod touch… met you IRL at ECCC 2014 or 2015 in Seattle. Now 27 with a girlfriend and a maltipoo who watches your videos with me. Keep doing what you’re doing Jeremy!

@ only losers and geriatrics find Anora shocking. It’s an intimate portrayal and if you didn’t like it, that’s fine but to call it exploitation when it was created so thoughtfully with its subjects is ignorant

Congrats on your 2 million subscribers! You more than deserve it
Great list! Surprised Furiosa didn't make it on the list XD
sucks that that movie flopped it was my favorite movie of the year
Agreed. Big fail it's not on the list. Miller is amazing.
Sonic 3 was better than half the movies on this list lol. So was Furiosa.....oh well
Furiosa was big fun, but it got the “let’s hate the fans” media treatment and nobody watched it.
Yup also thought Alien Romulus should be on there - it was actually nominated for an oscar
And his channel is still basically the same which is cool. His channel got big but his ego didn't explode or anything
Thinking about it….yeah I think he was my proper first that wasn’t a family member.
If you cried at this, then you'll love The Iron Giant and Klaus. For me those 2 are sadder
It's not just a "children's" movie, it's a family movie. "Overall, The Wild Robot is a thoroughly enjoyable movie with positive themes that appeals to adults and kids alike" It's odd to label a movie created for everyone as a "Kids" movie, just pointing out the obvious.
@@Goremizeit's ok. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however good or shit it is 😛
@@Goremizethe "ahhh I want to be different today" comment
I used to watch reviews on the escapist magazine and there in some comments somebody mentioned, that this Jeremy Jahns guy really nails reviews and is upbeat about things he likes. I don't know what exactly it is - i love a good tear down - i love well argumented dissections (and you can do all of that), but i come to you for a emotional insight of somebody who really knows a lot of movies and i always feel well informed, entertained and don't go away thinking that nothing is worth watching.
In between i think i lost my account, but i've been watching you for so many years and I appreciate you. Many, many people's content I used to watch from back then i don't enjoy anymore, but you stayed. thank you.
I've been here since the Mass Effect 3 rant! Keep up the great work, Jeremy!
Yep that video was a perfect summary of what many thought at the time. The films and TV reviews were just an added bonus!
Been here since twilight!
here we go.
Lol I heard both the Jokers voice at the end of The Dark Knight read that or Mario.
I was about to say that lol
No, we don’t. We don’t go!

Same
1000%
Transformers One 🤝 The Wild Robot 🤝Gundam seed Freedom
Transformers One was in my top 3 favorite movies in 2024. So underrated and deserved better marketing.
One of The best
Jeremy I remeber your Transformer 2 review lol!!! I have been subscribed ever since!!!
The funniest review is ever made
Revenge of the Fallen is still good.
Transformers one >>Transformers 4 & 5
I’ve had a few TH-cam channel changes over the years, but I’ve been subscribed to yours in one way or another since at least 2012 when I was a senior in high school. Now I’m 30 and a married home owner. Life goes on, but catching your reviews regularly has been a joy these long years. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Jeremy!
Heretic was so good i wanted to immediately rewatch it. Which is a thing i rarely do these days.
Yeah i never really watched horror films in the past but have tried to expand my horizon the last few years.
Was super interested when i saw the trailer and just watched it last week and man i loved it. Movies like this r worth stepping out of my comfort zone cuz it was just so damn entertaining.
Im just gonna pretend that half of his list was not horror!
Absolutely agree with you heritc has a real message for all religions DILUTE THE MESSAGE
Same, I went to see Heretic twice. I really enjoyed speak no evil and strange darling too.
Casual viewer here. Really enjoy your reviews. Don't have a lot of time to watch movies. But you let me decide well and make my time more valuable.
It's a good movie but that's it. Just a good movie nothing extra

@StrikingMachine kraven has pacing problems. Good ideas but terrible pacing
Bill Skarsgard is the new Gary Oldman. Man is a shapeshifter.
Haven't seen Nosferatu yet though
Is that the one who cosplayed The Crow
@@SuperPeterok to be honest, he had to work with a shitty script and a lousy production.

Dune Part II is the first time I’ve felt that “magic” in the cinema since Endgame
To me Dune Part II and Nosferatu was pure movie magic experience. You can tell it was A MOVIE. Not a commercial product for the masses.
You must have skipped Top Gun Maverick.
Dune Part 2 was hot trash that completely shits all over Frank Herbert's Dune.

I've been with this channel for over 10 years now. It's been a fun ride and I'm still loving the content. Thanks Jeremy! I have not missed one video from you.
Thank you for another year of great content from you Jeremy 👏👏👏
Will I watch the movies in this list? No.
Will I watch the video anyways? Yes.

Dune Part Two truly is one of the best films this decade. Masterpiece. We should have more auteur-driven blockbusters.
Have you read the book? Dune Part Two missed the boat by a long shot.
@ Man, I have read it and most adaptations of novels so complex (even The Godfather) have to change up things to fit it for the big screen. Just judge what is on the screen and not what was cut out.
Thought part one was better. Part two they stretched out the first 3rd and rushed the end. Also the emperor was terrible.
Oh man, not this "Dune is a masterpiece" crap again.
Dune isnt masterpiece. If they didnt hire Midaya, then it would be
I've been watching for over a decade, close to 15 years i think! I don't wafch every single video but it's always nice to see you on my feed!

It’s time we start putting Robert Eggers in the same conversation as Christopher Nolan and Denis Villeneuve. He’s that good.

You’ve been a huge part of my life. my top picks for 2024 are Emilia Perez, The Substance, Hitman, Smile 2 and Hundreds of Beavers 🤘🏼
Dude. Been watching since graduate school and I found your MGS3 review. Finished playing it and absolutely cannot believe I’ve been watching since then. Same story as everyone else, more or less. Still here with a wife, 3 kids, and a mortgage. And I watch the majority of your videos
I was mixed on Deadpool and Wolverine
Same. It was overrated.
Seemed like a money grab.
It never got as good as the opening scene
See it again and you'll be happier with it. I was on the fence with it until I could finally relax the second time through.
@RoastTheCritics no I'm okay but thanks
Anyone else still waiting on his list of best/worst movies of 2020? I’m starting to lose hope
I started watching around the time when you reviewed Man of Steel, I was 12 or 13. I’m now 25 still watching. Probably the only TH-cam channel I’ve consistently gone back to. Thanks for the laughs and good reviews all these years. Congrats on 2 million subscribers.
I've been reading all the comments and it's so wholesome how much we've all grown with Jeremy over the years. I've been watching for well over a decade (maybe 2009??) It's been sooo long! I too have moved 5 countries, 6 homes, heartbreaks, depression, anxiety, rock bottom, and growth over the years. Jeremy, your content has always been a source of escapism and much needed boost for me. A virtual friend that I've had now for 1/3 of my life. It's truly amazing. You mean so much to so many of us. You'll never really know what it means. Thanks a million.
