Quando comecei a estudar o contrabaixo, meu sonho era tocar numa banda de metal extremo, porém eu tive um professor que me incentivou a ouvir jazz e outros gêneros para explorar o instrumento. Nessa época, encontrei na internet um fórum de baixistas onde havia um post com os melhores solos de baixo, de acordo com os participantes. Um dos primeiros da lista era o de Randy Jackson, que gravou o disco "Mystical Adventures" de Jean-Luc Ponty. Lembro que fiquei impressionado e queria a todo custo tocar, porém era difícil para um iniciante. Hoje, anos mais tarde, finalmente resolvi gravar (com a participação da minha gatinha Nyx)...
