Hamas has not been regarded as a terrorist group by most countries In the world including the UN, they're more often regarded as the resistant group of Palestinian people towards Israeli oppression, yet the media of the countries who allied with Israel often follows the government propaganda and calls them terrorist group. The moment they're labelled with group of terrorism, people can forget about the context and Israel are permitted to do anything they wanted in the name of fighting the terrorism, and that's including shelling the civilians, cutting of water, electricity, food and medical for two million people and dislocate one million.

I don't follow all the policy choices of Pelosi (or most others) but I would say that equation is not accurate, because Chomsky wholeheartedly tries to be equitable while most politicians are exactly that: politicians. But in this world where might makes right playing the role of a do-gooder bent on fairness may be indeed a death sentence. So he wouldn't survive as a politician, and the lone nation that plays fair in a cheating game would lose.
