I can't see the 7 slots going away any time soon. Jeep seems to have gone all in with the branding of the 7 slots and now have that graphic all over the place. (Way more than they did in the past.) Like you said, I bet they will do some interesting things with lighting or come up with other ways to integrate it into the front.
