I had 3 manual Wrangler Saharas over 25 years. I'm now BEV. I got spoiled with regen braking, very low maintenance and repairs, and all that instant torque. We buy cheap electrons at night and have a "full tank" each morning.
I feel we're going to need PHEVs not only as a bridge to BEVs, but to handle towing, service rural areas as well as multifamily housing. The new serial PHEV Ram pickup sounds like it'll be a great product.
ICE will be around for a while. The charging infrastructure, despite impressive growth over the last several years, is still very young.
The rest of the decade should be very interesting.

With the delay in releasing a Gladiator 4xe it would be great if it was more in line with what's coming out in the 2025 Ramcharger. That technology in a PHEV seems perfect while waiting for a reliable nationwide electric charger network to be built.

Automatic Wrangler is very popular as a towed/toad four down behind motorhomes. EV's cannot be towed four down.
That depends on the EV. I tow my 4xe Wrangler 4 down as well. Keep in mind it depends on the drive system as to if it can be flat towed.
Full EV sales are at an all-time low, why are these manufacturers pushing full EV? Do they like losing money?
I agree. I think if there's a push for EV - we better get some cheaper ones. Perhaps this 25k one will help?
BEV sales "growth" in the US slowed in Q1 2024, but BEV sales still increased. The Model 3 line was down for a while due to its refresh.
Bloomberg says Ford, GM and Hyundai are each on track to break 100k in sales this year.
Manufacturers are going to lose money until they can scale up their sales and manufacturing.
I will never buy an EV. So bad.
Who wants an electric vehicle no matter who makes it? Doomed to fail from day 1!
