@@blazeclarke I am wondering this - I used to run a modded S4 (nothing like this) and the DSG had a noticeable delay when you let off the brake for launch control. I mean it's not "long" but it's definitely not instant and I could never figure out why they did that. I'd assume the TCU tune would rid the car of that infernal behaviour but maybe it's just a design thing? The last race when he actually managed to anticipate well he walked away but every other race Ken got a massive jump.

He’s not late off the line. It’s the DSG within the Audi. If you pay attention even in the races the Audi won his take off reaction time was still behind kens. And it wasn’t his reaction time it’s the DSG
If this was at a drag strip with lights, it would be different as you let off the brake prior to the third yellow light. Can't really do that with arm drops.
@@3rdiawoke even with the DSG,you are aware of the delay and you take off a bit sooner ..you jump too soon,fuck it you get back on the line,doubt you'd need to cool back off for jumping prematurely but premature jumping is alot better than being late.
That Hoonicorn is the perfect setup for this type of racing with nearly 1Hp per Kg and even keeps accelerating 'til the finish line. Almost unbeatable. Why retire this car?
@Smokeb the 3rd round. Ik something was off cause how it shifted. It seem like they raise the boost up to. Before the end of the race ken usually use all the gears but before the race ended he was just using the 6th gear.
Just gotta come back every so often to watch the greatest TvT episode ever. This was the peak. I have a ‘43’ on my shifting hand now, and all we want is Ken back, not the responsibility to try and do what he did in life 😔 We have our instructions from Ken, all we gotta do is live a fun and creative life and not be assholes. My build will be one of those that rooted from his passing, and proof that he made the world awesome.
Audi is running drag tyres all round and warming up vs the Hoonicorn. The Hoon is faster but... Not by much, that is a feather in the audi's cap that at the right day and the right time that car could beat the hoon.
@@ElectronicPleasure They said several times that the Audi had regular radials and not drag tires. They said they asked him to show up on regular tires (so he could swap them for drags when he got there) but the Audi owner misinterpreted and took that as he needed to be on street tires for the entire event. Maybe I heard wrong or that was a joke that went over my head but that's what they said.
and they stripped the car down (seats, bonnet struts, headliner,etc) on the rs3... Also, it seems (from their comments in the video) that the hoonicorn did all of these in a day...
@Dennis Hoffmann no it isn't.. The 2nd race ken bogged that car off the line. It's just funny to me that this proves that when you put awd system in a mustang or a hellcat for example. They become fuckin monsters.

When Ken and Ford parted ways, The Ford Racing team waved Ken goodbye and then took the Hoonicorn back E: He doesn't have the HoonicornV2 (Hoonicorn vs the World) He DOES however own his very own Hoonicorn that his Daughter has been trained to drift/drive/race. Go back and watch the 3rd 1500 ft race. Even if the Audi got the hole shot, the Hoonicorn was walking away at 1,000 feet. That Audi did not stand a chance when the boost was turned up. And that was on DOT street legal slicks, not full race meat.

@Smokeb the 3rd round. Ik something was off cause how it shifted. It seem like they raise the boost up to. Before the end of the race ken usually use all the gears but before the race ended he was just using the 6th gear.
Just gotta come back every so often to watch the greatest TvT episode ever. This was the peak. I have a ‘43’ on my shifting hand now, and all we want is Ken back, not the responsibility to try and do what he did in life 😔
We have our instructions from Ken, all we gotta do is live a fun and creative life and not be assholes. My build will be one of those that rooted from his passing, and proof that he made the world awesome.

Audi is running drag tyres all round and warming up vs the Hoonicorn. The Hoon is faster but... Not by much, that is a feather in the audi's cap that at the right day and the right time that car could beat the hoon.
The first three races looked like they were pretty much dead even except for the reaction difference.
What’s kinda crazy to me is that although ken got even stickier tires (and a jump) still got a can of whoop ass opened on him lol

@@ElectronicPleasure They said several times that the Audi had regular radials and not drag tires. They said they asked him to show up on regular tires (so he could swap them for drags when he got there) but the Audi owner misinterpreted and took that as he needed to be on street tires for the entire event. Maybe I heard wrong or that was a joke that went over my head but that's what they said.

@@npx20 the Audi would simply outdo the Hoonicorn even at a major disadvantage, though the runs were quite inconsistent, I’m happy the RS3 kept up with such competition. No need to fanboy in my comment thread, just accept the fact it was a good race and move on 😀

What do you expect from someone driving an auto?
Go back and watch the 3rd 1500 ft race. Even if the Audi got the hole shot, the Hoonicorn was walking away at 1,000 feet. That Audi did not stand a chance when the boost was turned up. And that was on DOT street legal slicks, not full race meat.

@@gerardoflores6316 the mustangs fully stripped out super light body twin turbos to the max fully built engine transmission and who knows what else different tuning options for it a bunch of tires setups for different conditions? 1400 hp awd btw lol and still got beat by a Audi that ways still more then then the mustang you need anymore?
