@@williamjolka4351 Yes, on paper this wouldn't be anywhere close to a pass, and getting it homologated is gonna be straight up impossible, but French technical control is a tip to the employee away from getting pretty much anything to pass as long as it got a valid VIN number and paperwork, lights, working brakes, and isn't gonna loose parts on the road. Private companies doing the testing means they like satisified customers, which makes returning customers.
@@sigmamale4147 Yes and no. So first thing there is case laws about this, and basically the insurer needs to prove the incident was related to the mods, no matter how illegal they could be, they cannot fault you fully on the basis of the mods unless they have proof that it was the cause of the accident. Which is harder to prove than you would expect, so as long as your defense and claim adjustor is good most arguments would be countered easily, unless you were going faster than official top speed, or for some reason downgraded tires or brakes, or something of that regard. This is obviously down to how you fight it, because they are definitely gonna try to blame it on the mods and hope you don't fight it. Second thing as long as you are insured they are legally obliged to pay the damaged suffered by the other party. There is no such thing as them not paying out. What happens is they pay and then sue you to get the money back. Nuance being that the third party victims do get the money they're due, which if you're selfish doesn't matter but is probs the most important part. Third thing 90% of insurers don't even cover track driving anyways, and I know you're gonna say "nurburgring isn't a track hurrrr durrrrr" but they know, and specifically specify they do not cover the Nurburgring in their terms and conditions. Btw dad works in the insurance business.

I drove my moms (obviously stock) twingo at 155 on the autobahn on my way home and was allready scared to death. Cant imagine driving one with this much power at 200km/h down foxhole. Stock 55hp would still move you around quickly enough, but it was allways understeered. But it is one of the most practical cars you can own. With the seats down there is so much storage space.
I did 179 indicated with a 75hp one, a bit sketchy yeah 😂 Fun times, first car i got to drive regularly and trashed it around the alps it was awesome 😊
The scariest part about such cars in my opinion are the seats. My uncle had a Micra 160SR with 110hp. While not much, it was definetely quick around a twisty backroad. Only problem, when you got a little bit too enthusiastic, you started sliding off the seats, which were standart Micra seats.

I used a Twingo for pizza delivery. There was a long, sloping street with two traffic circles. At the first circle, the brakes got warm. At the second circle, the pedal fell to the metal every time. Pure fun to drive. When the brakes were gone you could use the wind drag to brake....
Original twingo weighs 790 kg, 500kg in the front and 290 in the back, my parents had one and the car way already very understeery, it loved to go straight in the middle of a curve, i guess this one is the same. My understanding is that the car was made like this to prevent the very light back try to go in front in the curves. I guess this one is even heavier on the front, hence the feelings you had on the curves.
@@mgcharoudin It probably has no rear anti roll bar (apart from the torsion beam itself), a rear ARB would massively reduce the understeer and probably transform that car.

@@sanpepsiman1277 reached 192 with 55HP and 189 with the one of my cousin. It's a lot faster than was advertised, just it take really long straight line with few occasionnal down to be able to reach it. Amazing machine, so much respect to the builder - it's serious commitment to the sleeper concept to have that original seat - I can't imagine how hard it is to keep yourself in the seat on a long trackday!
Misha was all smiles - I would love more content with you driving extreme machines like this that are built not bought. By the looks of it, you had more fun in this than a Lambo or Ferrari! Kudos to the owner for building an insane little car.
I knew he was going to see you!! And I was just waiting for it! From a Frenchman :) And especially that engine... My father has a Honda Civic Type R Championship White Edition (90 units sold in France) tuned to stage 2 (everything inside and outside is original) and it puts out around 250 hp and a lot of dB high in the RPMs. I grew up with that sound; my father used to pick me up from daycare every evening, and the staff knew when he was there (the noise, haha). Thank you very much! And always exemplary driving, bravo Misha, you are a true example when it comes to respecting others, politeness, and being ready to react to any dangerous situation.
And flash the cars he is about to overtake... With the mandatory "waving hand" stuck to the rear window wiper once you leave their 100 k€ cars in the dust... 😭😭
This is just crazy and freaking amazing at the same time. Very fun to watch and makes you very happy which is good to see. It was hurting to hear the rev limiter so many times, but hopefully the owner didn’t mind.

I own a twingo just like this but 2004, even with 75hp it's quite fun to drive but weight distribution could be better, but I got it for 500€ and had it 3+ years now and hasn't let me down, has a personality aswell
Misha about people reving their cars for no purpose: Why you do that, it is stupid... Misha with K20 turbo in a Twingo: Open the exhaus valve (ta-ta-ta-taaaa)

Imagine this having upgraded brakes, proper suspension and maybe awd? Why not, it’s already crazy enough! I enjoyed the video too much, I’d love to drive a crazy bucket like this one day! Good job!
It has too much HP to be useful on track. I don't think a S1600 from back in the day could have benefitted from more hp (they had 260 I believe) and those cars were one size bigger with wide tracks. If you went awd you could maybe get away with something like 400-500 hp (with wide track, great suspension and slicks), but I doubt it would make it a lot faster, especially on dry tarmac.
Probably the most smiling Misha I saw on thins channel. I really enjoyed that he had good times regardles top speed and so. It looks that this car has big fun factor...

The fastest I've driven my 1998 1.2 Twingo was 151 km/h. It was a bit scary, but worth it - faces of drivers in the left lane of a highway while they were overtaken by a soap dish - priceless. Did I mention I had a wind at my back of course :) Otherwise I couldn't do more than 140. And a rubber mat had to be pulled out from underneath gas pedal, so it could be pressed down fully...
did 192km/h with mine stock. But you need a long straight line, also I have the removable roof that was banging up to 140km/H after 160km/h it was fine

Best turbo I've seen yet on the channel. Just instantly responsive, power on demand. Awesome stuff. Looking forward to the return lap. Maybe get him some aero underneath so it can still stay lowkey?
Is there a way to take a two seater Twingo (the one for fleet cars/professionnals with no rear seat and a covered trunk area) and turn it into a mid engine ? It will leave space at the front for a better suspension (double wishbone) and a better weight distribution... It might be dumb, but this 500+ Twingo is already dumb (and that's why we love it!).
thats probably doable and would be way faster however keep in mind that there are 3 problems 1- it would be wayyy harder to develop- custom suspension and reinforçing the chassis to mount the engine and finding a solution for the transmission would be quite time consuming and expensive 2- it would be harder to disguise as a sleeper, althoughbprobably still doable in a way, maybe it would just look like a twingo with a rollcage, so not totally incognito. 3- too much power in a fwd car is just a waste, but too much power in a rwd car is a hazard
The rear seat in a twingo is only grabbed by two nuts and a hook to move it, and there are some mid engine ones by lanzante but they have a lame rover V8 engine
I think with better springs, shocks and stiffening up the chassis to help with body roll, this would be an absolute weapon even for FWD tiny car. Looks like fun
when you see the Twingo.... Merci Twingo muffling in the distance.... while this Twingo..... Merci Twingo full blasting in your face from the distance This is too awesome, respect to you and the owner for this magnificent Twingo.

Bro this is the best build I have ever seen, even its almost useless on track, it must be really fucking fun driving it on public road and racing other cars that think you're just twingo with like 60hp 😂
As far as public roads are concerned i shld like to see the face of Technical control employee 🤣🤣
I dont beleive it is possible to get an agreement as the registration number suggest ...
I did it long time ago for à Renault dauphine fitted with à 1300 Gordini .. a lot of papers and tests . It took me a year to
Get the agreement.
Today with à required crash test it is Just impossible .
@@imnota problem is if you get in a crash with someone else/with bodily injuries. No assurance will pay out
@@sigmamale4147
Yes and no.
@@williamjolka4351 if its trackday legal its streetlegal. atleast in 90% of cases, unless you have a trackday edition sportscar or a real race car with needed documents, MOST german racetracks are part of the german roadsystem and you need tüv and shit.
I did 179 indicated with a 75hp one, a bit sketchy yeah 😂
Fun times, first car i got to drive regularly and trashed it around the alps it was awesome 😊
@@looped7979 I did 180 in mine and honestly thought the engine would pop out of the hood it was so loud x) also took a hell of a downhill straight
The scariest part about such cars in my opinion are the seats. My uncle had a Micra 160SR with 110hp. While not much, it was definetely quick around a twisty backroad. Only problem, when you got a little bit too enthusiastic, you started sliding off the seats, which were standart Micra seats.
@@looped7979 did 180 speedo with a 99' clio, never been so scared in my life, 75hp also. took quite a while to get there and when i finally let off, noticed that head gasket was not happy at all

8:33 thats a proper way to shift a k20
For those who are curious the K20 engine is a Honda 4 cyl. 16V was used originally in the Civic Type R year 2001-2006. I had one of those when I was 19 and they are magnificent engines. I can only imagine if you put a turbo on there what a hoot it must be to drive. They rev up to 8,5K rpm I think it was. Cool video haha 😁👌👌👌
There is also non-type r version with 150 hp, type r have 200-240hp
And the Integra/RSX
It's a K20T with a Twingo attached! Absolutely bonkers, love it!
HOLY GUACAMOLY
Imagine driving ur 130k BMW or Mercedes on the Nordschleife just to see a Twingo from hell behind u
that aggressively flashes its headlights. :D
12:50 that was awesome trolling :D
12:50 indeed😂😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for explaining it, it was super weird!
@@mgcharoudin It probably has no rear anti roll bar (apart from the torsion beam itself), a rear ARB would massively reduce the understeer and probably transform that car.

Probably one of the best laps I've ever seen Misha drive, and one of his most enjoyable ha! The King of Sleeper cars. Owner was so cool about it ✌
This gotta be in Misha's Top 3 videos! He is always so focused, serious and frowning but on this video, he is properly HAVING FUN! It was contagious and so inspiring!!! Making us remember that we do not need to spend millions and drive a hypercar to have a good time! This is the essence of driving and enjoying speed on our bare hands! Awesome Video!!!
The Twingo is 100% pure fun. Simple, nothing fancy, just a bunch of power and two guys having the time of their lives.
The Final Boss of sleeper cars.
Literally
"I am not doing anything crazy, because I dont want to die" Goes through a corner with 160 kph🤣.. Misha I love you
this is not a sleeper but a terrible nightmare... even for BMW drivers🤣
for real, they were questioning their whole existence
You know you build something Special when half of the Video Misha is laughing and smiling ! xD 7:40 had a smile myself after seeing the Tacho
As a old Honda civic vtec boy and early owner of a Renault R5 Turbo, this is my Favourite Video! Renault & Honda in one car. This is Made for me 😊
imagine what guy in M2 5:25 thought preparing to take over....🤣🤣🤣 this car is SICK & EPIC!
Would love to see his reaction 😂😂😂
This looks like an absolute handful. It absolutely obliterates the front tires at over 150kph, what a beast😂. The fact that you wouldn't look twice if you saw this in traffic is hilarious. One of the best sleepers ever🎉
To be honest if I see a Twingo I these days I look twice. Much more so than with a modern Porsche etc.
@@kadajawi2 good point
The fact that the speedometer can’t display more than 199 km/h says a lot about the shitbox it was supposed to be. Incredible to see that !

@@sanpepsiman1277Which is faster than a GR Corolla is allowed to go.
@@sanpepsiman1277 reached 192 with 55HP and 189 with the one of my cousin. It's a lot faster than was advertised, just it take really long straight line with few occasionnal down to be able to reach it. If for instance you go down and reach 165 it will keep that speed unless you have to climb after. With few of these I managed to reach those 190's on a straight line. Form top center to south of france, I arrived 2hours before they expected and it would already be pretty fast if I arived in 8hours, but it only took me less than 6hours being full speed all the way. No one will ever go faster because nowadays too many radars. I consider 140km/h normal speed for this vehicule with 55hp. It's the minimal speed required for the "cabriolet" roof to stop making noise.
The original Twingo was an absolute blast. The chassis was (and i don't say this lightly) superb, and the lightness of it enabled me to really push her in the corners. The grip was insane.
you're like a kid with a new toy - that was hella fun to watch. That poor rev limiter 😂
Big thanks to the owner for bringing this thing and making us all smile!! 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome build 👏🏻💯
This sleeper gives supercar owners sleepless nights 😆
Misha playing GT7 in real life with this ridiculous swap engine. 😅😅 we need more crazy owners like this guy. This video made my day.I can't stop laughing bro.😅
This dude is a nut job, only a french guy is going to put 500hp in a twingo lol! Misha didn't stop laughing and you have Porches and GTRs struggling to over take.
Amazing machine, so much respect to the builder - it's serious commitment to the sleeper concept to have that original seat - I can't imagine how hard it is to keep yourself in the seat on a long trackday!
This has clearly awaken Misha's inner child
Love that he left steelies on it. Proper sleeper!
Yeah 😂
Misha was all smiles - I would love more content with you driving extreme machines like this that are built not bought. By the looks of it, you had more fun in this than a Lambo or Ferrari! Kudos to the owner for building an insane little car.
One of best videos so far , I want to see that beast again with a race track setup ready to attack anything on nurburgring
This car is the very definition of "if I die while driving, don't be sad because I was probably smiling when it happened".
I knew he was going to see you!! And I was just waiting for it! From a Frenchman :)
And especially that engine...
12:30 you could see the look on his face that he was preparing to fang it out of the corner past the porsche!! this is the best vid in ages, love it.
This was THE BEST. Please try to find more unique stuff like this!!
To stop this thing from spinning, it needs some car lashes for added downforce on the front.
Would definitely finish this build😂
And flash the cars he is about to overtake... With the mandatory "waving hand" stuck to the rear window wiper once you leave their 100 k€ cars in the dust... 😭😭
This is just crazy and freaking amazing at the same time. Very fun to watch and makes you very happy which is good to see.
It was hurting to hear the rev limiter so many times, but hopefully the owner didn’t mind.
He said not to worry, it's a K-series and loves it :)
its a honda engine, it needs the rev limiter to stay healthy 😄
If you've always wanted to take a bull by the horns and dance with him on the edge of a volcano that's already spewing lava with a devilish grin on your face, then you're on par with this, this, this,... cute and yet evil sleeper.
Top conversion and the standard exhaust tailpipe plus the trailer hitch are the icing on the cake 🤣

i don't think there's enough space for that in a twingo
Misha. you call those people NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard). They move where they want and then complain about the things that have been going on there for decades. My old neighbourhood has people complaining about the planes flying into Toronto International Airport. Anyways, that Twingo is insane. it's always the small cars that bring the biggest smiles.

I love the rear view camera. The cars approaching you in turns look like curious animal sniffing a weird thing they found, just to get completely left in the dust as soon as a straight comes hahaha
Your grandma is driving a Twingo like that and in the traffic 🚦 you have a guy in a fancy Porsche, the light is green and the Porsche is still processing what happened 😅 what a hot car , love it 😍
Imagine this having upgraded brakes, proper suspension and maybe awd?
Je l'ai rarement vu avec un tel sourire sur le visage de ce pilote, superbe travail sur ce Swap bravo au mécano

You must be able to floor it at any time, if your floor mat does not allow you it means it does not fit properly. ✌️
@@maximomarquez8427 It was a safety feature, so I would not wake up that demon too often :)

Misha, I have seen you a lot of times having fun in compact hit hatches, but this is from another level. The joy and fun you showed is insane and a true apriciation.
Good question, asked myself the same
thats probably doable and would be way faster however keep in mind that there are 3 problems
1- it would be wayyy harder to develop- custom suspension and reinforçing the chassis to mount the engine and finding a solution for the transmission would be quite time consuming and expensive
2- it would be harder to disguise as a sleeper, althoughbprobably still doable in a way, maybe it would just look like a twingo with a rollcage, so not totally incognito.
3- too much power in a fwd car is just a waste, but too much power in a rwd car is a hazard
The rear seat in a twingo is only grabbed by two nuts and a hook to move it, and there are some mid engine ones by lanzante but they have a lame rover V8 engine
Considering Renault themselves put a fucking V6 in a Clio...
@@AlldaylongRock yeah a 4 cylinder in the rear of a twingo would make a suitable little brother
I think with better springs, shocks and stiffening up the chassis to help with body roll, this would be an absolute weapon even for FWD tiny car.
