Had the pleasure of meeting meeting Alex at L-Spec Auto in Hawthorne, CA. He did a clutch job on my Z. Been following threedirty5 since I seen him on Vice so its crazy that these 2 met up head2head!
That mustang is a beast. Gotta say he certainly has that thing set up nice. My dad has a 13 supercharged only like 600 to the wheels on stock pully, plus full suspension and the car goes straight when spinning its not all over the place like people think it is

I like Reef. Completely laid back, but still incredibly confident and knowledgeable about what he's bringing to the race. EDIT: I also like Alex. He's fun.

One of the best matchups and episodes ever. Need to move to a best of 5 for stuff like this. Both cars worked and held together. Both drivers seemed comproable. Still got a couple clean runs despite equal misshifts.
This episode was hot!! The 2JZ sounded really really spicy though!! The driver was hitting the revs really properly, I have to say. The mustang dude too was really cool.. Hoonigan's for life is all I can say.
The mustang WOULDN'T have had a chance, if the Bimmer boy could drive. Like was said earlier, there's a big difference in being able to build, and being able to drive. With great drivers in both cars, that wouldn't have even been close in either of those races.
To be honest the mustang was gonna lose each race. The bonus round showed everything you need to know. That E92 would pull HARD after shifting gears and getting back into power! But a win is a win so props to the mustang.
@@carsreloaded2013 Spinning got him. As soon as I heard he was on R888s I knew it was over lol. Once I hit whp in the 800s, the R888Rs got sold..and this dude said he was over 1kwhp so I knew it'd be a peddle fest haha but these were some damn good runs
Props to both guys driving a car! I did not care who won, but it was a nice change to watch cars being driven. So many cars featured do not require a driver at all when they race I expect to see the driver putting some sugar in his coffee while the "race" is in full swing! Here we saw drivers manage wheel spin a clutch and gear changes! They also seemed to enjoy their cars!
