This comment, out of all of them, hits the hardest. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family as I am sure they are reeling from his sudden passage.... The world is going to be that much darker without you here. Rest In Peace Ken.

Everyone dies twice, the day your body dies and the day that no one remembers you anymore. In this way, Ken will live on forever because of his amazing career and videos like this. His legacy and his legend guarantee his immortality. Long live the king.
Never thought about death like that, how profound... makes me want to do something noteworthy, bold and inspirational so I don't die twice.

This is a work of art in the form of methanol, turbos, and all wheel drive fire breathing V8 monster. Ken brought me into the car scene and I’ve never looked back since. I can’t believe that he died outside of a car. Y’all: snowmobiles are insanely dangerous. As are quads. As are motorcycles. Treat them with incredible respect. If the guy who drove pikes peak like this was killed by a snowmobile, it could happen to you.
@@Diax1324 my dad (a huge fan of ken), showed me the post late last night in tears. I couldn’t believe we lost him. Especially the way he went out. I've watched this video hundreds times. I can't believe, watching it now, that you're not with us anymore. Looking at you driving that beast, enjoying the beast engine sound, knowing you're passed away, is not the same thing like before. Rest in peace, Ken.
The impact Ken has had on my life from a young age always inspired me and made me more interested in cars in general and that will be for so many people across the globe. He is Successful in so many ways and a great family man and friend from what I have seen from his personal life. Me and my dad used to sit around the table watching videos of him driving laughing at how unbelievable he was, something I will always remember as a young lad wishing I could one day drive like that… 31 now and I can safely say I will never be able to but thanks for making me feel like I could as a young boy. Rest in peace xx
The thing I like most about this; no music, just engine noise and tire screeching. Bliss.

I'd feel safer with Ken doing this than I would having my sister drive to wal mart. The control he has is insane.
He crashes A LOT. This video took a long time to put together
@@grizzlynips to be fair, he does crash a bit (see gymkhana files) but part of that is due to him not spending enough practice time in the cars and the other part is him not having good references for risky manoeuvres. he practically learns the cars as they shoot. the team say he often does nail it on the first take but with risky manoeuvres you're talking knife's edge accuracy which is practically impossible all the time. I remember in the Texas shoot for gymkhana 10 he had to go under a building and the gap was something like 10 inches longer than his truck. he got it on the third attempt after two small ish crashes, one broke the wheel and the other broke the front bumper and wing assembly. tbh with these kind of stunts i think that's quite reasonable. at 5:25 you can see the stack of rocks he made as a reference. the whole team including him thought he'd over done it and was gonna go over the edge
This is what I wanna do at a drift track
@@grizzlynips

yeah what a guy
Came straight here after hearing the news. I am absolutely heartbroken. Can’t imagine what his family is feeling. May he rest in peace.
I was fortunate enough to get to visit Pikes Peak in the summer of 2021. I had seen this video back in 2019 when I was a few months shy of graduating high school, so to actually be there in person and see and drive that road for myself was a dream come true. I'll never forget that experience. It all inspired me to look more into high performance cars, and what it takes to make something like this and what it takes to drive it as well. I'm now in trade school, learning to work on cars and maybe even have a passion project car of my own. To hear the news of his untimely departure from this earth has deeply saddened me and many other people. Ken Block might not have known it, but he was a true inspiration to people far and wide besides myself to pursue the field of the automotive industry and to discover something we came to love.
To Ken, I thank you for showing not just me but the world your side of what cars can be, and how they can perform outside of just racing or daily driving. Your level of creativity and ingenuity will never be able to be replaced.
RIP Ken Block
What this man did, will never not be awesome no matter how many time I watch it!

"4 wheel drive cant drift"
**laughs in 1400hp*
Underrated comment
@@damnndamo6086 thank you
I can't understand how he can control the car when all 4 wheels have no traction mid drift 😱
@@riccardosartori3822 they have insane traction! What are you talking about. He’s sponsored by toyo tires and is using a premium set, that also happen to be very thick. The car just has too much power for the wheels to handle, especially when he’s purposely sliding it around. Also the car has basically no spoilers, lips or aero of any kind (not that it matters at 14000ft). As for how he can control it? He’s practiced drifting for 100s, possibly 1000s of hours. He knows that car like the back of his hand. He’s one the most talented drifters in the world! And Definitely one of the best known.
@@unripetomato4312 not doubting his ability at all, what I am saying is that once the friction of the tire and the road has been overwhelmed then there is no more friction and I was wondering how he can still direct the car at that point (as having the front tires sliding would mean no steering)
Legends will always live in our hearts. Ken was an absolute unit on the road, dirty, and everything else. Handling a 1400 hp car like it’s nothing.

3:50...No previous tire marks. Cool to see actual first passes in the final cut.
First thing i noticed was the multiple layers of rubber. Unlimited tyres and budget should mean an awesome final cut. It just doesnt sparcle like it should. One run mistakes, grit and all is what would make a good video great. Stop cheating to show perfection when reality is all you need to be a true hero. Sums up modern life really.
shut the fuck up lmao, you wouldn't make it past the first turn without flying off the side of the mountain.
i noticed in one of his other videos if he is not happy with the first pass he will do it again and again till he is happy
you see the tire marks from previous pass because of sponsor's and who he has to represent..they want that perfect shot..to sell there product.
It's not always bad takes. In an interview for Gymkhana 9 he talked about the edge drift how he kept doing retakes because he didn't like the way it looked or wanted to get closer. Yeah he makes mistakes but it is mostly about getting the best shots.
What will always make me remember him as a legend is the fact that he didn't even pass doing what he was a pro at. He had some of the most dangerous stunts and drifts in history and he survived it all. Rest in peace Ken. You will NEVER be replaced.
This brought tears to my eyes.
This was one of my favorite video’s to watch growing up😓. We really lost a legend. Rip ken
