My c50 tops out about 83. Its bone stock no wind sheild but has bags and 2up seat. im 6'3 250lbs so probably a bit of a weight difference from rider/rider. I have a HD street glide for hwy/interstate long distance trips. The c50 i use for cruising in town and down winding back roads in the country and frankly i love the c50 id sell my street glide before i would ever part with the c50
I agree. I loved my C50 for exactly the same reasons. I even rode it from Myrtle Beach to Daytona when I sold it and it was a fine touring bike. Only sold it to get the bigger Valkyrie for two-up riding with my wife. Wish I could have kept the C50 but wasn’t to be.
Just bought a 2019 C50. Love it. Low to ground, smooth, comfortable ride. Great maneuverability and awesome speed for highway at 70-75, zero vibration. I love the fuel injection, easy starts, and upwards of 60 mpg. Can't wait for Idaho summer touring in the back roads with the pines and wind in my face. Turns heads, Susuki has a great track record with this series of over 20 years. 🤘😎 Video is true all the way!!
There may be a freak stock C50 out there that can crack 100 MPH with a tiny rider on an ideal day -- but I doubt it. And if that's true, so what? It is not designed to go 100 MPH. If a 100 MPH bike is what you want, don't buy a C50; if you want a comfortable, reliable mid-size cruiser for -- well, cruising, this is a fine machine.
Im a 6ft 275lbs, and my 08 suzuki boulevard c50 will go past 110mph. The needle only goes to 110mph but the bike kept pulling more after I buried it. The only thing I've done was put in a K&N filter on it
I can't remember but I think you're right. My Honda's have been spot on but I think the C50 was optimistic. I downloaded a GPS app on my phone called Speedometer Pro and paid a few bucks for the full version. Very clear and accurate display. Good way to check your speedo's accuracy.
Interesting. I have been buying and selling motorcycles, trading them in, buying new and used, on quite a clip the past ten or more years. The C50 is sold now, but I did love that bike. Suzuki nailed the styling. And the comfort. Currently I have a BMW R18, a Royal Enfield Int650, and a Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. All three are great bikes. But I’m still shopping for the next one!
Surprised your bike would not do the ton. My 2009 C50 does it easily after the K&N filter install(no other mods) & feels like it has more in it. Mine does not have a screen, maybe that`s the difference or maybe it`s the 98 Octane fuel I`m running.

And there's nothing like riding past big road kill that's rotting in the sun, smelling that oh so delightful scent of decaying flesh. I'm shocked that bike won't do 100. I had a Honda V45 Magna (750) that would clear 100 easily and I had it up to 120 once, still with throttle to go.
I'm surprised too. It's bone stock except for the K&N, which makes a difference I can really feel. It was still gaining speed when I had to back off at 93.4 mph, but gaining very slowly. I think I would need about twice the distance to really test if 100 is possible.
Il have to post mine. Its a 2007 and I can get right too 100 but I do have quite a bit more road. I get to 90 no problem!! It's that last 10 that come slowly
Apex Squad yeah, if I had a longer stretch of road, plus the K&N (and maybe a tailwind) maybe... regardless, I really liked the C50. I liked the styling, the comfort, and the overall vibe of the bike. In the end, it just wasn’t enough bike for me and my wife. My Honda Valkyrie is more than enough!
Doing "the ton" is time-honored measurement of any motorcycle. Additionally, if a bike can do 100, it can probably cruise at 80, which is basically required on many U.S. highways. Got it?
I got my 2009 C50 to go 105mph on the northway (interstate) took about 4 miles of 100% throttle lol Had to see the difference bcuz before that bike I had a 2004 Honda rebel 600cc to 93 MPH ! (slight down hill grade for both, I weight 170lbs 5'10"

had my bone stock 2008 c 50 up to 160kms "99mph" and it was still gaining speed. No problem getting up to speed either.

I've got an 02 volusia. Hyperchqrger with k&n, Vance and hinnes pipes, amd was told it was jetted...got it to 105 indicated.

2002 c50 change the exhaust and put a bigger main jet in the carb as my bike does the ton,not possible on the injection bike.

I am 250 lbs , and can ge tmy 08 over 100 anytime I want. Doesn't need much leg room either. Also feels like it wants to go more lol.
