    .............................................................
Is it time to forget about two of the most popular ICE saloons out there, the 3 Series & C-Class, and go for the all-electric Tesla Model 3? Well, Mat’s about to find out!
In this video, he’s going to delve deep into each car to see which is the right choice for you. From their exterior & interior styles through to their driving ability and boot space, Mat’s going to see whether all-electric power is the best choice for you in 2021.
In terms of price & performance, they’re all relatively evenly matched. We’ve brought in the hybrid editions of the 3 Series & C-Class, so as a result, they all cost around £40,000.
When it comes to power, the C-Class leads it, with its 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine & electric motor delivering 312hp. Its 25kWh battery pack will also allow you to drive for over 60 miles on electric power alone! As for the BMW, the engine size is the same, but it can only put down 292hp. Its battery pack is also much smaller, at 12kWh.
And then finally we have the Tesla. It’s the entry-level Standard Range Plus model, so it only has a single electric motor which provides 272hp. It also has a claimed range of 278 miles.
So which will come out on top today? There’s only one way to find out… Stick with Mat for this all-new group test!

The BMW can only charge with 3,6 kW and when you tested how fast the petrol engine switches on, you clearly did it with a cold motor. The power dial had a temperature icon and didn't scale up to 100%, which it only does when the motor and battery are warmed up. It takes about 5 minutes of driving to do so and when they are all ready, they work even better together. Just wanted to clarify.

I own a 330e and love it. 2 Things worth to mention about it based on this video. 1 you should get the adaptiv susp. Its softer in hybrid modus and firmer in sport. 2 when carwow accelerate in this video they drive in e-mode (pure electric). You will feel a completely different car in hybrid modus regarding respons etc. You can get xboost in both modus but in pure electric xboost kick in much later and slower. You almost never drive in pure emode because the hybrid modus and sport modus gives you the best experience.

It’s handling and responsiveness isn’t up to par with these 3. I have the 330e so probably a little biased but I love it, for everyday driving and having a spirited drive. I noticed that your ICE wasn’t warm so the 330e will limit power when you floor it, you may have noticed a bit more pick-up if the engine was already warm. Also I know it wasn’t part of the test but xtraboost mode on the 330e would apply all power so you may have felt it was a bit more alive then. The difference in tax between the 330E and the 340i, on my salary, is over £600 per month.
It's a totally flawed system as recent studies show that most people don't even plug their plug-in hybrids in, let alone do a majority of their driving in electric, and the combustion engine-only car is actually more economic, not to mention better to drive, due to the fact that it doesn't have an extra 200kg, or in your case, 300kg, of batteries and motors crammed in.

@@dmitrii336 iPhone offered many features that Nokia phones didn't offer due to Nokia not embracing full operating systems like Android while itself unable to deliver a full computer OS like iOS and Android. Battery powered cars offer no real functional advantage over gasoline cars while having numerous disadvantages in critical characteristics such range, safety and longevity (therefore depreciation). Even in terms of operating cost, it only makes sense in countries that either have tremendous excess hydroelectric power (like Norway) or burn coal for electricity generation (like in China). In the US, fast charging station cost is equivalent to well over $5 per gallon for comparable gasoline cars (in warm weather; cold weather reduce battery car range by half, due to the need to heat battery and heat car). Home charging using grid power is equivalent to about $2.5 per gallon, which is not much savings compared to gasoline price and easily cancelled out by faster vehicle depreciation and much higher insurance cost due to fire hazard. Don't be surprised by a huge battery disposal fee in a few years as used batteries pile up. Only households with solar panels can save by operating a battery car, and that is only because of subsidy due to "net-metering"; once electricity companies charge solar panel households transmission cost both ways instead zero transmission cost (which is more than half of electricity bill), the whole battery electric nonsense will only operate in the market segment for glorified golf carts.

They make the ride much more comfortable, tyres are much cheaper and you'll have a bigger tyre wall which can prevent wheel rash if you happen to have a small accident or let's say you have to avoid something on the road and drive over the curb. 17" alloy wheels are a HUGE positive compared to 18's.

In the past when I didn't drive a Tesla and temperature got to -10 (C) I didn't change temperature, the car heats up as fast as it can. It's only psychological that makes you think it will heat up faster, that is if you don't want to overshoot and not go above the temp you desire at least.
