I bought an NC1 first time Miata owner 8 months ago. Best decision I’ve made. Just thrown in a new expansion tank, front and rear sways and a race exhaust from Goodwin Racing. Love it
I love my NC... had it for almost two years now.. the only thing i would add is that the build quality is excellent... no squeaks, no rattles just a really fun car
I’ve had two NC’s miata in the past a soft top & PRHT I sold them a while back & got a 370z. I got bored of it real quick so I sold it & got myself another soft top nc miata ! Don’t regret it, 29k miles on the odometer. Also great video 👍🏽
❤Great video. I own a 09 copper red NC grand touring 6 speed tan leather interior with a tan soft top. I am the original owner and have added the metal coolant tank, the metal power steering tank, and the Goodwin sport exhaust. Over the 15 years of ownership, a new Mazda battery, and 4 new Michelin tires. With only has 9 thousand miles it’s a summer driver. Many hate the NC but for me it’s a great car. To me all Miata’s are great cars in their own way. I have owned many cars in my life some much more powerful, and complex. My NC is a perfect car even though a bit dated by today’s standards. The car is simple and for a guy who respects simplicity of design and driving a car that feels connected to the road and driver that is why I love it. Mazda is a great car company and has the right idea of what a roaster should be.
My personal garage includes an nc2, and a gr corolla. My next vehicle purchase will be hopefully my dads 370z when he turns 70, as he will be moving on to something else. Glad I found this channel!
The NC was the first Miata I drove. Have had an R32 skyline, 350Z, Rx8, BRZ and MK4 supra I never looked at Miatas before my Aunt gave me the keys to her NC. From that day I've been a fan, it has balance of power, handling and comfort. Ended up owning 2 NB2s. Also check out an MR2 Spyder, they're underpowered but the steering and grip they have make up for it.
I ALSO LOVE my 2006 NC-1! ❤ The British invented the roadster, America "tried" to manufacture one and failed, and the Japanese perfected it!😊 Thank you for the video! AND... Subscribed! 😊
This is one of the best NC Miata reviews I’ve seen. Great job. I’m shopping for an NC PRHT. I found a 2009 sport with 5 speed and no lsd and very low miles for a good price. Really have wanted a club or grand touring. What are your thoughts on the 5 speed? Is it easy enough to upgrade to the lsd or do I really not even need it? Are there features I’d miss out on with the sport? Thanks again for posting a great video. If I had the money I’d almost want to shop for the 370z-I’ve driven those and they are so fun and I love the styling. I think your choice in that car is solid.
Thank you for the kind words! I've driven a sport and I've driven a grand touring. I think if this is just going to be a cheap street car to have fun, a sport makes sense. You can definitely feel the lack of an LSD when at the limit but on the street, it won't be as noticeable. I suppose you could always upgrade to an LSD down the road as well? 370z is great but Miatas are always the answer (for most) 😃
One things I’d say about the NC is that its not got the JDM feel of the NB / NA and to me it didn’t feel as raw or nimble. I love the white dials on my NB and how tightly packaged it is.
Come visit Australia and drive my NC Launch Edition with BBR225 kit imported from the UK. The perfect balance of power and raucessness that a skunk works Miata shoild always have had.
I have a 2KSE and a '04MSM.. why am I looking at NCs? One reason is the FM turbo for the NC is 'almost ready', and I don't know, they are kind of growing on me. What is the best year and why?

I was always impressed with my old NB, it had very little noises to it. Glad to hear it's the same case with your NC!
@@pattyboiwhat happened to your nb?

That's a great garage lineup!
Poetic timing
Very nice review, top job. I love my 2011 kendo nc2. I will never sell it... liked and subscribed.
Thank you!

Dudeee what great timing! I'm looking to swap my NB for an NC too 😎

I have 26mi prht club 6 spd id sell. I a want soft top
Yeah I might changed my mind and am seeking a soft top too. The PRHT looks like it could have issues that would bug me.

The NC won Car & Driver's Top 10 Cars eight times! More than any other generation.
I love my NC, although I feel I was lied to about the speed. Even in my mostly stock car if I get rev happy 'll get up to speed pretty fast.

Not my favorite but does have a pro it actually has something over the ND built in stable Cupholders
Patty Boi NC 2.4l build incoming??
Maybe k-swap 👀
@@pattyboi I thought about that too until I realized I could buy a clean s2000 for the same $.
@@pattyboikswap is the way to go
How do the brakes feel compared to the nb? The NB feels kinda squishy to me.
Brakes felt solid, but I'd have to drive a NB and NC back to back to compare
Lets go back to Miata! 😂
Another solid video, sir. We will release a Portable car Vacuum. Can we invite you to do a review? We have reached out for an inquiry.

2009+ as they've gotten updated engine internals as well as a slightly improved transmission
Please buy an NC already so that I don't have to!
😉
