Super underrated content! I have a NB2 on comfortable coilovers, advan wheels, good tires and a little catback upgrade. Im super happy. Every issue you've mentioned is spot on lol! i really want some Garage Vary parts such as the front bumper and wing. Those are my dream parts. Would love to turbo it one day but really enjoying the reliability.
Trivia, for what it's worth. The paint colors that include the word "mica" are referring to the mineral, mica. Mica powder is often added to paint to provide a pearl style effect, although I not sure if Mazda actually did this. Regardless, it's pronounced "M-eye-ca rather than "M-ee-ca". Good video and detailed info, thanks.
On the topic of rare Miatas, you forgot to mention the Azure Package offered for the 2004 base model in Sunlight Silver. It came with dark blue cloth seats and door inserts. There was also a leather version of this package that included a dark blue canvas soft top.
Couple of things you said that as a owner of 3 Miatas and a automatic BMWZ3..I would take an automatic any day. Clutch work on all my Miatas and 200,000 miles and no clutch problems on the BMW and it was fast. As for the hardtop, it really saves on the soft top plus I’ve seen situations where people will stick a knife in a soft top for kicks. What works for you does not mean it is for everyone
really? a stock nb is in no way more fun to drive than when you throw on some sways, coilovers and drop the ride height. I am in no way saying slam it to the ground like the drawing of a 4th grader but tastefully and functionally dropped with some GOOD coilovers can get you a more comfortable and more controllable ride than stock IF you choose a quality set of coilovers and know how to set it up properly.
I want a miata but im 6"4. I drove two NBs, one on stock suspension and one with coils + brake upgrades and semislicks. Im in love with the handling of both i cant fit in it for shit. Is there any way for me to fit in one???
Guys you mean 60,000 miles on timing belt intervals not 7000...Also you forgot (we'll forgive you Americans you think the world ends at the US border)...in Europe we had 1.6 engines right up to 2005...B6ZE code. Also, also... you forgot MORE THAN ANYYYY OTHER CONCERN IN EUROPE....RUUUUUUSTTTT! If you do not check underneath, chassis beams inside the bay, Sills, floor panels...These rust and you could end up throwing 5grand at an utter sh#t box...Also..also, also...Roof. check the seals and that it is leak free otherwise, guess what...rust ...Power steering lines, coolant pipes and holes under the battery tray in the trunk
