This house is north of i-70 (across the interstate from vail village). Since it is on the south facing slope it will get a lot of sun exposure. This will make it very hot out in the summer and little snow in the winter as the strong sun will melt most of it.

@Sightless Sniper Housing prices have doubled, just based on material cost alone. I bought/built my house on 2 acres and 4000sq-ft for $230k in 2019. My neighbors have a similar spec'd home with a little differences/enhancements and they paid somewhere around $270k. These same neighbors, were selling the house and it stayed on the market for 3 months and sold for $660k. I asked my realtor how much my house was worth as it is right now, she told me $650k if I were to sell.
This house will easily sell for asking.

This has been on the market for a year now. The last time this house sold was for 20 million in 2018. I doubt that someone who could afford to by this house would want to pay a 100% increase for a property that sold just a couple of years before. @@HammerLeaf You know nothing about me, but assumed a lot and built your arguments on those false assumptions.
Wealth draws attention, particularly from politicians - if you can't understand that...well, I guess you're telling us you're not wealthy without telling us you're not wealthy.
The only hating in this thread is coming from you, and it's very misinformed.

I have at least 12 dream homes, but this takes the cake for being the best of the best. Nice work, gentlemen.

It's definitely is a work of art n the views are incredible. The 40 mill price tag is only the initial cost... The upkeep would be shocker n I'm sure the winter months wouldn't be to peachy in the mountains, unless you had a nice vacation home as well. But anyone spending that kind of dough wouldn't have any concern whatsoever

I think you’d be surprised. For someone who loves to ski, that view, location so close to the mountain. It would be a full year round place.

@@cusefan5510 yeah no dont let the looks deceive you living in a mountain town is hell. there is nothing todo shit food everything is expensive traffic is always bad bc in the winter you have tons of snow and tourists who cant drive in snow, and during the summer its non stop construction. you are hours away from any real city, and it will rain weekly causing mud and rockslides leading to even more construction its literally hell
