This is the most impressive house I've ever seen. So many houses are tacky. This place is elegant and an architectural masterpiece. The finishes are the best blend of nature and luxury combined.
That's an awesome price for the location and the views. I however would have fired the architect for building a beach house in the mountains. The architect should be sued and banned from building in the mountains ever again.

@@erikvanconover I've lived in Colorado my whole life I can tell you, this view is great but nothing you can't get a good drive if you know the areas to go. I know homes with amazing views of pikes peak, hidden by trees you'd never guess, great hiking and climbing for $250k. (More if you want more bedrooms, acres, ect)

That’s what I was thinking the entire time. Imagine keeping all of that glass clean. And that kitchen is so huge I would hate to take all the dishes around that huge island to the dishwasher, and then have to put them away after.
Since this year I'm planning to practice mindfulness and downgrade from my 13 billion French palace, I feel like this minimalist home would be perfect helping me to get down to earth again and understanding the terrors poor people have to go through day by day.

One thing I am not sure he pointed out but made a huge difference to me is how they kept the original landscape. What I mean is they didn't plant Kentucky Bluegrass or something they left the original grass and left all the weeds and imperfections. As soon as he stepped outside towards the end I immediately noticed.
I enjoyed that part as well. I wonder why they didn't use tankless for hot water and radiant heat. Maybe they they don't have gas. Electric would be to expensive.

Literally looks like a converted warehouse. Sterile and boring. They should have built into the mountain and done a berm house. Instead this looks like broken glass sticking up. Plus the LEDs in the kitchen make it look like a teenager designed it.
In my opinion, this is the kind of setting where you should build a luxury home of this level, on a large parcel of land with actual privacy and spectacular views. Personally, I'd never build a high end home like this in a gated community with neighbors on both sides. That makes no sense to me, but I see it all the time. This is how you do it! I think the house looks amazing overall, but one thing always stands out to me. He mentions the 'den' / the family room, but to me it does not feel like a family room at all. I miss a nice cosy family room, because that room just looks like any living room slapped in between some rooms.

The views are amazing and the architecture is incredible. But with that being said I DEFINITELY feel the bathrooms are a huge let down for the size of the home AND price. With those views why create such small bathrooms that do not take advantage of the views?!
I can see myself living here. I’d have those glass doors open while I sleep. I can see myself riding around in my 4 wheeler. That’s such a mind and spirit opening view. I love it. Awesome I wouldn’t have to leave the house to work out. It even has a Jacuzzi. I’d Just put a basketball goal outside.
I've worked in houses like this. Who wants to walk for 5 minutes to get to the kitchen? What I see is that people tend to live in one or two spaces/seats... The rest is just window dressing which serves to impress guests which you've then got to find and entertain with all the annoyances that comes with. People actually naturally prefer smaller cave like spaces not huge open ones. That's why rich people keep buying and selling these places... it's hard to feel human and at home in them.
Given its location, it's likely a holiday home so going on a ski trip with just five friends would fill each of the bedrooms. And rich people buy and sell them for the investment, the demand for outdoorsy homes is growing and the supply isn't in locations such as this, which continues to push the price up
This thing is an eyesore. It looks like a mix of a gentrified warehouse and broken glass. It's sterile inside and out as it feels cold and empty. The views are great but you can get those from a tinyhome/trailer. A smaller berm house built into the mountain itself would have been a much better utilization of the land. Not to mention the utilities being minimal due to geothermal heating and cooling. I'm genuinely baffled at all the praise this is getting. There's been many beautiful homes covered on this channel... but in this case "modern" is just a euphemism for a cheaply-made money pit that clashes with the land.
Dp I made the exact same observation, not as well as you. The house looks like it belongs on the beach. In Florida or California. It doesn't fit in. They should have used native stone. From a distance you shouldn't be able to tell there is even a house there.
I know the style is minimalism, but Minimalist Mansion is an oxymoron. Nothing about mansions are minimal. Also, whoever put the pantry access so far from the kitchen doesn’t cook much. I’m constantly going back to my pantry for things I forgot to grab the first time.
It's dated already, it looks like a warehouse. This house wasn't built to last and the upkeep alone is the antithesis of practical. It clashes with the land and seems like it was built to be ostentatious and impractical.

For 35 acres with those views the house was a steal. I wasn't even impressed with the house itself.

As of January 2023, this house is STILL for sale and has been lowered to 18.5M.

I'm genuinely baffled at all the praise this is getting. There's been many beautiful homes covered on this channel... but in this case "modern" is just a euphemism for a cheaply-made money pit that clashes with the land.
Dp I made the exact same observation, not as well as you. The house looks like it belongs on the beach. In Florida or California. It doesn't fit in. They should have used native stone. From a distance you shouldn't be able to tell there is even a house there.
I've never understood massive homes like this. So much redundant space.

I know the style is minimalism, but Minimalist Mansion is an oxymoron. Nothing about mansions are minimal.
Also, whoever put the pantry access so far from the kitchen doesn’t cook much. I’m constantly going back to my pantry for things I forgot to grab the first time.
I thought the same when he showed the pantry. Logistic nightmare haha.

This house won’t age well. Architecture is too specific. Will look dated in a decade.
It's dated already, it looks like a warehouse. This house wasn't built to last and the upkeep alone is the antithesis of practical. It clashes with the land and seems like it was built to be ostentatious and impractical.
