What do you think the next usable item like the cooked meat will do? I'm thinking an attack buff that will add +10% / 20% / 30% (a whole grade for a weapon) to your damage for about 15 minutes or so. I think this will be next so that it will be easier to take down 9 and 10 *s. It might be like 4-8 months away for something like this. Maybe before 11 stars get announced.
my posion exploit build with heavy bowgun is Aknosom Helm Magnomalo Chest G. rathian Gloves Coral Pukei Waist G rathian Legs From gems getting Poison points and Guard points. Most monsters of the same weapon rank should be poisoned by the first 6 ammo, and then defend loading helps you out when you need to get more poison shots on the monster
I made the same mistake before but overtime i got used to swiping up haha! Now it became a problem when i use other weapons. Whenever i perfect dodge, i swipe up even when using the lance and i dont get the follow up haha!
Is it possible to maybe get a budget build for this? I understand that it wouldn't do the same amount of damage but It would be awesome to take advantage of the poison exploit on a budget.
The most budget you can go is equipping the gold rath legs but you only get 1 level of poison exploit. Then equip the basarios mail and teostra vambraces if you decide to run with the gunlance to get at least artillery 3. The helm and waist would be the issue without nergigante buff. You can go poison attack or practice perfect evades with artful dodger pieces to skip into full bursts.
Ive been contemplating the dual blades for the next build. It gives poison exploit even though it says fire type. Makes me think its fire and posion. Gonna craft and commit to the g8. Nergi armor is nasty fun mixed with artillery on gunlance. Im getting closer to my gunlance 2k soo soon ill be working greatsword/dual blades more.
My problem with the silver rathalos dual blades is that it needs gold rath plates as well... i dont think i can grind for both just for the 1 extra point of poison exploit haha
@PauwerPlays i look at it this way. It's an alternative and it's a dmg skill. I stay away from all weapons with defensive skills. I got all the defense in the world. For example the carnival weapons.... sold all the tickets. That's how it goes though for me XD. As for plate consumption. I've learned. The more pieces I have of a monster at g7.5 and up.... the more often I see R6 parts. But I'm also always breaking everything physically possible all the up to 8☆. Not at that point yet but getting close for 9☆ . At least I can slay everything in 9☆. This dedicated part breaker grind is definitely paying off though. Soooo many weapons and armor g8-g10 I'm loving it

Question about silver rath cb if crit doesn't work on cb why is the weapon skill crit element? Was wondering if silver rath cb was a good weapon to make (current fite is regular rath cb)
Crit only works on the sword and axe attacks of the charge blade. Only the Phials do not crit. Who knows, maybe we get power axe mode in monster hunter now. That would make crit element super strong with the charge blade
I bought the ticket, couldn't fight Nerg because I live in a small town and couldn't find it where I live. I couldn't even fight enough gold/silver Raths to get enough to make armor or weapons.
I was thinking of trying the gold rathian charge blade. You think that would be a good one to use? Get the monster poisoned then go to town with axe mode thats what i was thinking
It's gonna be hard to poison the monster using the charge blade if solo. Better use SAED super if you do manage to poison the monster to capitalize on poison exploit

@burtgummer4565 my favorite would also be rathian. The gold color makes it seems very special. It just shouts royalty. Its combo moves are so aggressive, mixing in tail attacks with fire balls is just awesome! Such a fun hunt

I personally didnt really like poison built as its harder to break monster parts... cos the poison just ends up killing the monster before i can break the parts... even with lock on.. Is it something we have to accept with the poison build? Cos im running out of storage space and dont really want to invest in the poison built if i cant break monster parts.. 😢 Anyone can give me some tips? 🙏
What i love about the gunlance is that shelling is also great at part breaking in my experience. I get partbreaks first bpoisonthe monster gets poisoned and use poison exploit as a big finisher haha
I just had a thought - do you think Evasive Concentration might be a work-around to get past the sp gauge issue from Nergy avidity? Has anyone checked?
@LilyRunestar can still be used solo. Just have to fire the wyrmstake to activate poison exploit. But without poison exploit, the gunlance can deal enough damage with artillery
@@PauwerPlays yeah, I just feel like this is a skill that's gonna be huge for multiplayer hunts opposed to solo. Cause, I might be wrong, but isn't it easier to kill without that? I real do see this being a viable skill tho, I am gonna say, might have been a good idea to present a poison ssa as a good play WITH this. However, what I really see making everything for poison exploit, is a teo blastpower that's for poison, when we get that, everything it's gonna change I think. The ability for quick CONSISTENT poison, with double damage 👌
I think you still can but it'll be harder to poison the monster without the wrymstake and harder to take advantage of artillery since you have to build phials compared to simply reloading it with the gunlance. Harder to capitalize on poison exploit too since you have to have your phials ready for SAED or use special instead
@PauwerPlays yes but it can have charge skills that can run foward to maxium damage with slugger and nergigante skill working on putting rising tide for driftstones.
Well, with my giro sneak lvl 5 build art 4, because my gunlance is at 10, it does more damage than that. 1500+ paralyzed burst shots. But if I can manage to get nergi, parts, plus a gold rath gunlance, I can increase the damage output to almost nearly 2000+ burst. Sneak atk has helped me reach 10stars.
Grade 10 shelling damage is insane haha. My gold gunlance is still at grade 8 and i cant wait to see the big numbers i get then haha! Sneak attack is great but i dont wanna constantly reposition to the back 😅

Yeah the point is once poisoned you get to the pierce ammo ASAP to deal damage
Full burst combo is really hard to pull, i keep ended in wrong button, even when i managed to perfect evade, i keep using tap instead slideup

Poison and paralyze were my first G8 builds. I love this except not sure about the lack of special.
I dont mind not having special with the gunlance. Kinda breaks my flow if i use the special

I also think I only need 1 point of poison exploit. 30% is nice. Another 15% for lvl 2 is meh. I plan on using with ssa3-5 just to feel it out

The poison exploit is just a bonus. You need teammates who will use poison weapons to activate poison exploit.

Would work but you need to perfect evade a lot of times. Kinda not worth imo

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but... This seems like a group hunt skill, not a solo player skill. 2 players with SSA and 2 with damage.

Isnt poison frowned upon because its not breaking parts?
That's why we go boom with boomstick fullbursts and we get partbreaker from nergi waist at grade 8 tho

@PauwerPlays Yeah, for some monster, it gets annoying. One reason I like giros gunlance.
