A smashing pun indeed XD The hunts were so much more brutal than I imagined, but it was fun as! Video edition should be coming this weekend with any luck!
When I first picked this game up. I went to the training area and check out the weapons... Charge blade instantly stood out and my mans proceeds to say. You picked the hardest weapon in the game to me... I love the CB
Punish AED's are rare, maybe not so much in high rank, but master rank ? Youll either instantly be hit back, or miss 99 % of the times, the monsters have hops that would make Jordan jealous
@@uxorialcoyote7460 thats a gamble, if you dont get a stagger, you get hit, and in my opinion, its rarely worth it, considering how aggro the later monsters are

This really goes to show how solid your understanding of the monsters movesets are, and what your time windows are for attack and defense. Only took you the time to lock in how long each CB move takes
For some reason, i swear im not lying CB, the mechanics stuck in my mind with perfect muscle memory ez af But when it came to SWAX and LS Im so so bad with these two weapon 😅
As a Charge Blade main in 4U who picked up Dual Blades in 3U, what adds to the complexity is the skill needed to master both. Using the demon dash to dodge a roar or attack is way harder than hitting a Guard Point. What makes CB so complex is its several infinite combos and the fact that almost all of its moves can be combo’ed infinitely, including GPs. DB for me is complex because it is almost all offense and solely relies on dashing to dodge, something that feels completely different.
People over exaggerate how hard CB is to learn, but at the same time that's not where CB's true difficulty comes from. Even if you understand the weapon, micromanaging everything thats happening as well as managing your combos and attempting to read the monster at the same time, that's where the true difficulty is. As I see a lot of people say, "When I play CB I'm kinda just pressing random buttons" bc that's just how much it fries your brain while playing due to how much shit you have to think about.
One of the most funny mh videos I’ve seen 🤣 got another subscriber out of me . Not enough content creators for mh that aren’t speed runners or build crafters. Need more creators that just post normal hunts 🤙🏼
I appreciate that XD Most of the coolest moments in the game come from just screwing around and being super casual with it. So I like showing people that it's okay to just mess around and have fun without trying so hard all of the time.
im weird, more typically considered easy weapons like lance or greatsword are boring to me, but i just click with charge blade. i play it almost like a souls game, using my shield with the related perks to tank, while charging phials, always amping my sword, and finding the right time to saed or savage axe it seems very complicated at first but i think it's fairly easy to learn, but hard to master (similar to GS, but imo cbs shield shores up mistakes)
Is there a way to do the grinding lands quick to get the materials i need for augments? Ive not been able to augment anything even though ive played hundreds if hours.
I main cb, and have almost no defense in my build (other than full guard) I can't imagine the comfort of tanking more than 2 hits from Tempered Furious Rajang without carting 😂
I want a safi weapon with nergi trait,if its the 2 piece version,3 pieces of safi jiva armor with health augment for super heals with all the health up traits.
How do you mean "used it more"? Because this is a video from my very first time streaming the Charge Blade XD I've definitely been using it a lot since then, though. It's a super fun weapon!
Nice vid, such a great work i can see that u put a lot of effort in this nice content ! Got a question, are you editing your videos ? And if it's the case, how much time do you take ? Sorry for bad english, hello from a french viewer :D
Thanks! Yeah, I've edited all of my own videos so far. It's hard to say how long it takes - sometimes a week of editing a few hours per day, sometimes much longer if I'm busy or can't focus lol
You're lucky, idk if it's my game or what, but my RN is aggro af and was harder than Fatalis for me, I got stomped to oblivion so many times. Many of which happened as soon as I entered the arena. RN on that quest hunt specifically, has been almost unbeatable for me. The ones in Guiding lands or Elder's recess were fine and doable though, and were not nearly as aggressive as the Quest variant in my playthrough.
GG I think the most difficult thing (for great sword players) is getting used to parrying with the shield. Remember that with the charged CB shield and high guard ability you are almost immortal😉and after a parry you can go directly to super discharge by pressing triangle/circle on console😉 Anyway GG, you are a very good hunter!
Aw thank you muchly! Yeah, remembering where the GPs are is definitely the trickiest part. And sometimes I forget to do a follow up lmao But I'm slowly getting there!
Are you sure you dont main the CB? I have used it a few dozen times and I can’t get any of the moves down. Probably because I man dual blades and long sword
It’s frustrating to see you SAED when you can AED instead, even when the shield is charged. Yes, when it’s charged, it’ll automatically do SAED, unless you press back (relative to where your character is facing), and press light attack while SAED is about to swing
Yeah. Unfortunately there's a lot of information to keep track of for the first few hunts with a new weapon, so some things were bound to be missed lol. Getting the hang of that now though o7
Just stated using the CB and tbh I think it’s propaganda that it’s super hard to use. It’s like three specific things and the rest of the kit is built around that.
I slapped together a pretty basic Fatty set since I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to go for, and went for a general build with Crit, Power Prolonger, Artillery, Guard 3 and Focus so I could make use of both Savaxe and SAED depending on what I leaned towards.
Aw hell yeah, that's the spirit! Are you rocking Focus on your set as well? That's definitely a good one as it will allow you to get max philes from one fully charged sword attack + follow up (Y or Triangle after the 2 charged hits)
@WreckitRai Are you using the deviljho cb with artillery? I ask because artillery only works with impact-type charge blades, and deviljho is a power-element one. Another thing of note is that phial bursts don't crit, which makes building for crit less necessary on SAED and even somewhat charged sword builds.
“As soon as I remember this weapons controls, you’re fucked” 😂😂😂 I’ve said that so many times whilst learning CB
Beating a tempered fury rajang with barely any experience on the CB is heckin impressive my man! Keep it up! Been enjoying this series!
Much appreciated!! Next up will be Hammer, which I'm streaming this weekend against multiplayer-scaled monsters. Wish me luck! Lmao
@@WreckitRai oh man, that’d be bonkers 😜Have fun! I love the hammer!

Honestly, i feel like this whole series is just teaching him to love every weapon XD
This was for sure fun man as a charge blade main hope you get a hold of guard points they are so fun to do as well as punish AED it's so satisfying
Hell yeah, glad you enjoyed it!
Slowly brushing up on my GPs, but it's gonna take a while. Satisfying as hell tho
Punish AED's are rare, maybe not so much in high rank, but master rank ? Youll either instantly be hit back, or miss 99 % of the times, the monsters have hops that would make Jordan jealous
@d0navan440 I aim for the head I usually get a knock out pretty frequently but recently I've been playing more SNS than CB
@@uxorialcoyote7460 thats a gamble, if you dont get a stagger, you get hit, and in my opinion, its rarely worth it, considering how aggro the later monsters are
Been using charge blade since midway through the base game, 4 years later and i still rarely take it off, once its mastered, you cant stop

Honestly, though, beating the Rajang GGs, but also just casually carving two hearts also GGs.
I was wondering when someone would notice that lmao
Ngl even as a db kind of hunter, a weapon known for being very simple, CB is extremely easy to understand as long as you read the hunters notes

You can spam traps on the monster to get lots of points quickly to level up your regions. That's probably the quickest way to do it!
a better monster hunter player than he'll ever give himself credit for~ congrats as always! c:
Broo that was an impressive video but ngl internally i was like "bro you have a shield use it !!" But verry funny i subscribe 👍🏽
My favorite part about CB is that with impact phials you become a more complicated hammer main
pizza cutter in GU mentioned 🗣🗣 i'm subbing

Love the video brother. Subscribed.

got a good build for CB?
I think I might try Charge Blade as my second weapon ever.
Idk I’m just loving Lance right now in the beginning of the game
Lance is cool af. Glad to hear you're having fun with it!!
Are you sure you dont main the CB? I have used it a few dozen times and I can’t get any of the moves down. Probably because I man dual blades and long sword
I want to love CB so much but it's just so needlessly complicated.
Also bro really went from the first monster in th game to one of the last
I hate how I learned it as soon as I had it
Somehow I knew Fatty was gonna be your last monster. Good shot dude
Bahaha, it was the only thing that could top the Tempered Monke, besides maybe AT Velk.
Cheers!

This is not something that beginners to CB really learn, good thing youre forced to do an AED before SAED in wilds now amirite :^)
Me who always spawn in camp 17 when hunting rathalos. Rathian is camp 11.
whats the build
Temperd scard Yan Garuda was ezey with cb just wall bang might pill
Dude your commentary is top notch! I can’t stop laughing
You need max level of speed sheathe for charge blade.
Great video 👍
everyone loves monkie ya know, hahaha, but rai, use the shield please, dear lord.
Just stated using the CB and tbh I think it’s propaganda that it’s super hard to use. It’s like three specific things and the rest of the kit is built around that.

What set did you use?

Try more guardpoints, your gameplay will improve after u learn guardpoints time
somehow the worlds savage axe is more useful than rises savage axe
Chargeblade is pretty easy to learn you just learn how to charge and do the discharges and ur good
Great video! Painful to watch, but we all start somewhere I guess!
I appreciate you suffering with me!
cb, my beloved
I call SAED "SAD" because I never hit it
LOL yup
doot doot when?
GG bro
CB is simple guys 👦
na that voice is just 🤌
