happy second anniversary, all the best to you and good luck with your future plans for the channel! 🎉 meguri aishite is one of the few games i genuinely got curious about after seeing it scarcely mentioned in one of the scanned dengeki g's magazine issues out there (yes, i get most of my obscure video game knowledge from old magazines), but immediately got put off by the crude-ish graphics of its intro animation. if there's any credit i could give the dev team is that it's cool that they gave a chance for amateur artists to work on a big project like this. thanks for another fun and informative video!
Thanks! I'll try my best :) Turns out that Meguri Aishite's intro animation was the best looking graphics in the entire game. There were a ton of amateurish and jank looking games on the PS(and Sony published a lot of them as well lol), but I felt that it needed some quality assurance, given that there were big names attached to it. I too get game info on memories and scouring gaming magazines from my childhood. And some retro streamers have really great info!

Thank you so much for staying with me! Here's hoping for another two years. I think the game went for the True Love Story art style, but turned out being a lot inferior. Some are passable, others look worse than others, and they were especially not kind to Kureha. The sprites are fine. Tsugumi is nightmare fuel. For having triple dates as a feature, they sure make it hard to enjoy it. There was recently a Shiori Nendroid release, and I noticed that they used the character designs for the Tokimemo short comics in the anniversary twitter account. So maybe there might be a remake with brand new character graphics, but uh.. I dunno whether I have to be excited. Personally I'd prefer a remaster with English localization over that.

I literally just had the realization of how small as a creator you are, i had simply forgotten that not everyone is into old visual novels and games. I tend to be in my bubble then be surprised people aren't in my niche. Your videos make me very happy, i love learning of old and obscure games. So thank you very much for braving the clunky gameplay for us. I find very funny imagining that the fail ending is the protagonist going "Well, heterosexual monogamy didn't work. PLAN B: homosexual polyamory!" I like megumi , older motorcycle women are a weakness of mine. I also like that she has shorter hair.

I too thought Megumi was the coolest looking girl in the opening but she is barely in the game with zero conversations.

If you ever do a video on a game that has an english translation, like Tokimemo Girls Side or Idolmaster, do you play the Japanese version or the english version? Or will it be a case where a section of the video will discuss how the english translation is? Looking at your channel there are idolmaster clips and Idolmaster One For All is getting a full translation next month or so. So I was curious to see if you would ever make a video on the series or how you would go about something like that
Every case I go by the original Japanese version if there is not an official translation. If the game is localized, I will play them and include its footage(like the Princess Maker video). If the official translation is especially horrendous, I will make a remark on it. As for fan translations, I would probably comment on its existence but nothing else because who am I to judge such passion driven and free projects. And yes! I will eventually get to Idolm@ster.

좀만 다듬었으면 괜찮을꺼같은 겜인거같은데 아쉽네요..
도키메모 제작진이 만들었어도 결국은 저만한 게임이 거의 없었던거보면 새삼 도키메모가 대단하게 느껴지고 그걸 방치수준으로 냅둔 코나미도 참 대단한듯ㅋㅋ
