Man, imagine being a kid who received a copy of PM2 for a Children's day. I wonder if some of them see this now as an "awakening" moment, seeing how weird some of things in the game can be.

youtube recommended this to me completely randomly, and I'm so glad it did, princess maker 2 is one of those games I played through it SO much in middle/high school, (basically projected onto olive and always went for the dragon ending lmao) been tempted to play princess maker again but I feel like it will feel different than it did back then
I found the young dragon cute, but with those special marriages I can't see how Olive did in her career! His reactions are funny if Olive goes for the prince after being betrothed to him. I personally saw that as Olive rebelling against her father for selling her for 10,000 gold.
It's a Christmas miracle! I woke to a Bapsago video and I'm out on Christmas break! :3 I've only played PM3 (which I really liked), but PM2 takes the cake! The artwork is so pretty and I love the lore!

Way too long for me. imo Refine killed way too much of the details of the original sprites, and oh how I wish we get a Princess Maker Pixel Remaster like they did with the Final Fantasy series. Unfortunately Regeneration isn't the case, but it's still a fun game to play regardless!
I found out about this channel because of your previous princess maker video, since I was looking for a comparison with the original version and the censored version. PM2 is one of my favorite games, and although it is aimed at lolicon otakus I always felt that all those perverted scenes were perfect for the game, not because I wanted Olive to be sexualized, but because it added a certain coldness and creepiness, adding a certain suspense with the decisions we will make. That aspect made me not enjoy PM3 as much because I no longer felt any alarm of danger or fear, but I know that in the end those details were not created with any other intention than to add fanservice xd
When I first witnessed the attempted assault event I was too young to know what the hell was going on. Kind of messed up now that you think about it. imo, as long as you're aware it's intended as Otaku fanservice, I don't see a problem in liking the less pleasant aspects of the game. Everyone has their own views.

But I wondered something: I played PM 3 on switch and its... At least half short of content compared to this version? Like no combats, less jobs, less possibilities, less endings... Is there a reason for such a downgrade?
Indeed, a lot of fans were disappointed PM3 took out Errantry . Not sure on the exact reason why; some say Gainax made the game 'simpler' because the game changed its target audience to kids. I too felt PM3 was a bit easy(Princess ending on the first try), but did not find it too lacking in content; just different. While PM2 was a superior version of PM1, each PM series had its gimmicks while keeping the core gameplay element. PM4 didn't have Errantry but was still good, and PM5 revived Errantry but not in a RPG style, and the game is long winded as it is.
프린세스 메이커2는 컴팩트하게 정말 잘 만들었죠. 실제보다 스케일이 커 보이고. 차기작을 완전 똑같이 낼 수 없었던 것도 이해가 가는.. 프메3는 시작부터 게임 끝까지를 계획할 수 있었던 게 참신했어요. 굉장한 빅픽쳐 아버지.. 프메 4는 나름 스토리 중심+연애시뮬레이션적인 장점이 있었고(스탠딩CG가 매년 안 바뀌는건 너무했지만..) SFC판 프메는 무사수행이 엄청 웃겼어요ㅋㅋㅋ 캐나다에 살면서 요 근래 몇년간 12월에 눈이 안 와서 좀 거시기한 기분이 듭니다. 코비드 덕에(...) 마지막으로 감기 걸린지는 오래됬지만 조심해야죠! 블루님도 건강 꼭 챙기시고요!
연말연시는 리제네레이션즈와 함께!를 생각하고 있었는데 결국 연기되어 버렸네요...뭐 더 좋은 퀄리티로 완성하기 위한 시간이라 생각하...ㄹ리가! 무슨 문제가 터진건지 벌써부터 불안불안합니다;;; 프린세스 메이커2는...다들 마찬가지겠지만 너무 할 말이 많은 게임이라 오히려 뭐라 말을 해야 할지가 알 수 없네요. 진짜 생판 모르는 사람하고서라도 서로 프린세스 메이커2 해봤다면 그걸로 밤새 신나게 떠들 수 있을듯요. 이런게 바로 '추억의 게임'이란거겠지요. 하지만 붉은 악마 티셔츠는......존재를 알고 싶지 않았습니다;;;;;;

I don't own a Switch, and not interested in emulating current consoles. Probably the Steam version someday, although I did read some bad things about the localization and the publisher.
@@bapsago sure the localization can be a bit rough at times, but I still enjoyed it. Maybe it will get remastered after Princess maker 2 if it sells well, also what did they say about the publisher?
@@StarryKnightPinkle Basically the translation sucked and when people complained about it, the publisher pulled it out of the store altogether and re-uploaded it with a 'HD remake' slapped on, and people who bought the original version had to buy it again, and the translation still sucked. 역시 완성도는 2따라올시리즈가 없네요ㅋㅋ 2카피한 4나 AW는 뭔가 아쉬웠고..
