  • Tired of looking at the bland dashboard lights on your favorite GM truck? It's easy to add brightness, clarity and even color with an upgrade to LED Bulbs. With 30 minutes and the correct type of bulbs and sockets you can easily add some character to your gauges.

I have my 1997 Mustang back in Florida that I can try this on. My Taurus Police Interceptor Sedan has the digital display I notice in most card now. I'm a technician so wiring and things of this nature are enjoyable for me. Good stuff

On these 9th gen Chevy Suburbans everything is easy to get to because most of it snaps together. I hope your mustang cluster is as easy as this.

Hi, the small ones are just for the warning lights. I believe they are T10. I bought them but didn't end up changing them. Good luck!

I had them from another truck I worked on years ago but you can get them on Amazon with bulbs: www.amazon.com/DODOFUN-Dashboard-Instrument-Cluster-Indicator/dp/B07XFDRYK9/ref=sr_1_4?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.sWG40Sji2pbpqRASe1jAyuoRT_tyv8w4BV99E4OmZzkVaGBELLNdKcalQ6HMB2GXg1VGcMe50cQat4MKlm6zKQ.wjp5Ls_oECQUCMb71wJwy2AbrN-MFoOzvJsxEc8pps4&dib_tag=se&keywords=sockets%2Bfor%2BLED%2Bdashboard%2Blights%2B2001%2Bsuburban&qid=1704923037&s=automotive&sr=1-4&th=1

My guess would be the LEDs are wrong. Second guess would be the fuse. Did you try putting the old bulbs back and they work? If so, you've got the wrong LEDs. The first time I tried this was several years ago and the LEDs I had fit perfectly but did not work. Also, some of the LEDs are polarized so it matters how they go in. I hope this helps. If it's a 9th Gen Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon the link in the description should be correct. What year and type is your truck?

@@floridarusticrepairs its a 2001 silverado i tried flipping them back and forth but i haven’t tried putting stock bulbs just yet. i bought them on ebay that specifically said they where for my year

@@coronaA146 Unfortunately, there are a lot of variants with these LEDs. The good news is that they're cheap so my Amazon link is exactly what I used and should be only about $11. A 2001 Silverado should be the exact same that I used. Please keep me posted and good luck!

I did this mod with expensive bulbs and they all died within a year and a half

Wow! So far all of mine are still going but it hasn't even been a year yet. It's crazy that LEDs would fail so quickly. Hopefully my $10 set lasts longer.
