Exactly! I think she stood by and let it happen because secretly a part of her, the envious part, kind of enjoyed it. And it's a terrible thing to say but it explains soooo much of her behaviour, answers so many questions and frankly is written all over her face. I know that look. And I don't doubt for a second that a part of her truly loves her big sister, but I also have a jealous and spiteful younger sister and she loves me too. It's complicated but that's family for you.

It seems to me she mainly wants to, for legal liability’s sake, condition the public to accept a narrative of how she had no knowledge and nothing to do with her sister’s criminal conservatorship, despite selfishly riding on her sister’s fame, talent and money the whole time. Shes trying to seem neutral while still appearing morally righteous, which is basically contradictory and why it seems inauthentic - it is. She looks like she feels guilty, and specifically cannot say how she tangibly helped her sister at all.

Despite all these money hungry psychiatrists and psychologists assigned to "assess" her during the con not one of them diagnosed her with anything, not even PTSD, which she is likely to have from all the abuse she has suffered from her family. Even is she did have a diagnosis it doesn't warrant a conservatorship; they are reserved for people with neuro-disabilities and neuro-degeneration who are unlikely to regain their mental capacity.
She isn't the first who wrote a book about how the fucked up her family is. Mom wrote more than two books if memory serves me. I won't surprised if dad is going to buy a typewriter. Stephen King over here.

But, now youre dealing with all these people on the show currently out of work having to deal with new projects. Not mention her Manager & Publicist were prolly jumping through the hoops of this controversy. Now a days we don’t bat an eye to teen pregnancy because of the popularity of Teen Mom. But I assure you it was a big deal when she got pregnant. She was on the cover of people magazine etc. You have to take in to account the anxiety of dealing with this. It just seems dismissive to downplay this like Jamie Compeltely walked away from the industry before returning. Its not something light to gloss over.

@@miakaelvira9556 I'm not saying that she could've said something during the length of Britney's conservatorship but chose not to, but that it could be possible that there were conditions that Jamie was under that didn't allow her to speak out about it.
Then she couldn’t have now either. If she signed an NDA or anything like that, it’s still in effect considering the dad relinquished (so it’s like a settlement, one pays but admits no wrongdoing) and therefore Jamie is still under that NDA.
