Hello, i just had to tell you, while making this dish today, my neighbors knocked on my door to inquire as to what i was cooking, they smelled deliciousness all they way into their yard. Now that, is good food. Thank you for sharing these wonderful dishes.
sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Alec Gerardo Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I literally make the same thing!! It's so good! instead of the red paste, I chop up 3-4 jalapeños for that added spice and I use 1/3 of soy sauce and 1/3 of cold water for the broth and add in the garlic, jalapeños, sesame oil, sesame seed, red pepper flake and onions. Sometimes I let it marinate over night without the potatoes and just add that right before I cook it. It's one of my favorite foods ever! My mother is Korean so I've been eating this for about 30 years and I had my mom show me how to make it years ago. Great video and I hope people try this recipe because the flavors are amazing!
If you change it to soy sauce, then that'as a different dish in Korea. The red pepper paste has a very distinct flavor that makes the dish. It's like making carbonara pasta and then you're all oh, I make the same pasta but switch the sauce to tomato base! Yeah....completely different.
I am cooking this right now. My mom is korean and hers is good too but I can't follow her recipe since she never measures 🙂. I got to learn how to make it on my own and twist it to my liking. I do recommend that you put lemon juice to get rid of the poultry taste or smell when boiling. I don't ever want to skip lemon juice in any meat dishes. I added jalepenos and extra gochuchang cause I love it spicy. Spicier the better for me! Thank you for the recipe 🙂
I am making this dish right now. It took me probably about 10 minutes to prep it, and now just letting it cook in my Le Creuset while sitting in the couch relaxing. I can't wait to try it. It smells great already.
So far I've made this two times and doing it again tonight. Ingredients are easy to come by and it's relatively simple to make. Taste is amazing, I can highly recommend this to anyone. Personally I skip the red pepper flakes because my parents are quite sensitive to spicy food.
I made this two days ago but i have to make it again tonight because I loved it so much. THANK YOU SO MUCH SEONKYOUNG! It’s the perfect home cooked meal, and i’m shocked how easy it is to make. Love you!
I just made it yesterday. And wwowwww it delicious more than I could ever have imagined. Yesterday is the first time my boyfriend complimented me on my cooking. Tks you and your recipe so muchhhhh 💗💗💗 from Vietnam with my love. So sorry if you feel my English not really good 😁
Made this today for the first time by request of my friend. It came out so good. I followed your old recipe that had the squash too. The house smelled sooo good. Everyone liked the stew. Thanks for a great recipe!
I fed this to my best friend today an she said it was the most delicious thing she has eaten in a long time !!! 😄😄😄😄 thankyou for sharing . It was my first Korean meal I had cooked too
This came out better than I'd hoped! Thank you! The only problem I had was my sauce was a bit watery because I used more vegetables. I think I'll simmer it again with the top off of the pot to let the sauce thicken. Either way, it tastes great.
That looks awesome!:) I love you and all of your recipes, I've made a few of them and they turned out great!! You and Maangchi are definitely my favorite TH-camrs!😀😀
You know why I love all your stew/ braised recipes and separates it from all the korean wannabe recipes out there is that you let the natural liquid of the vegetables and meat incorporate and used that to cook the food. Everyone else drown their food in water or broth . It’s raining all day today and I already know since this morning to come and visit you cause I need your help, and you did. Thank you and happy holidays to you and your husband and your entire family!!!!!
I like your dishes.. Love how you make cooking seems so simple. Plus the fact that you really eat your what you've made. I don't know if you still do vids coz I noticed that most of your vids are from 2 years ago already... But I really hope you'll do more coz you are really easy to follow. Thanks!!!!!
oh cool!! I'll have to tell my mom that. She's old skool Korean so she still call it dak dori tang. thanks for the info!! I'm gonna make this tomorrow!!
I'm making this dish right now . It's such comfort food on a cold day like today . My home is filled with smell of this chicken and the spices I just can't wait for it to get done so I can eat it LOL one of my comfort food😊😊😊🍠🍠🍠🍙🍙🍙😀😀😀😀😀
I made my dish inspired by your recipy (I used cabbage).....ow my!!!!!!! that tastes GOOD Seonkyong! THANKS very much! Keep doing what you're doing ....I know other people can appreciate good stuff as well. I feel a bit more ' chef-fy' today LOL
+Seonkyoung Longest Hi! I really wanna try making this because it looks super delicious! I cannot consume any type of wine including cooking wine. What should I use to replace the rice wine? I sure hope you'll reply :) Thank you!
My mother in law puts spicy peppers and 1 beer in hers, and it's fantastic. Thanks for the awesome recipe ❤ I needed a quick reminder on how to make this. Happy Thanksgiving 😊
I'm making this. I have Korean red pepper flakes and I ordered gochujang on Amazon. I'm going to use chicken legs. Thank you for recipe. I'm subscribed now too.
I already did this 2 times and I improved so much! I really love this recipe! It’s easy and delicious! But you really need to make sure that you cut the veggies in BIG pieces! I soooo loved everything about this meal!
@@ganzayaenkhbold9950 no you don’t need to put water in it! When everything starts to get hot the juices from the chicken and the veggies start to form in the pot! Just make sure you stirr well so nothing gets burnt in the beginning
Oh wow. This looks amazing! I have everything to make this except the chicken and potatoes. Gonna hit the grocery store tomorrow as this looks too easy to pass up. Thanks for showing us a simple recipe.
I love how Jacob was doing all the talking and Seonkyoung you were just eating!!! I love your videos!!! I think we are best Friends lol. I love Onions to when they are all cooked mmmmmmmm~
I enjoyed making and eating this easy dish. It tasted great, even though I viewed the video superficially the first time, so made a couple of mistakes. I deboned and shredded the leftover chicken, and mixed it back in with the sauce, veggies, and rice, to make leftover Korean chicken chili. Thanks for the great videos Seonkyoung!
I love the fact that they actually eat the food...most people just taste the food....love it
