    Story :-
Op gave birth to a baby girl. Op was unable to breastfeed her child so she had to give her daughter Ava formula from a young age. Her controlling know-it-all mother-in-law despised her for it and told her that she was a bad mother for not being able to breastfeed. As a result, op snapped at her and made her cry, angering her husband. When Ava was 1 year old, she spent all her weekends with op’s mother-in-law. Op did not mind since her mother-in-law loved Ava and that gave her time to rest. But then one day op fetched her daughter early from her mother-in-law’s house and she walked in on her mother-in-law breastfeeding her child. In addition, she found out that her mother-in-law was taking hormones that would allow her to breastfeed. Op told her husband and they cut off her mother-in-law. They also found out that she was training Ava to call her mom when op and her husband were not present. The last straw was when op’s mother-in-law continued to secretly fetch Ava from daycare so that she could spend time with her without op’s knowledge. Op exposed her to the family, while her husband got a restraining order from her.

As long as the baby is fed who gives a s***t?! Also what is it with people like MIL looking down on women for not being able to breastfeed their babies? Formula is just as good and sometimes can be better, so people need to shove this narrow-minded view where the sun doesn't shine and get over themselves... MIL that includes you. As it is regardless of the medical test results the daughter ended up sick because MIL breastfed her and deserves to go to jail for endangering the daughter with her nasty poisonous milk.

Oh hell no! Just the title is infuriating me, and I haven't even listened to the video yet. My mother tried a similar thing with me when I had my twins! Unbeknownst to me, when she found out I was pregnant she had her doctor put her on Progesterone because she was going to be "adopting" a baby in 7 months. For those that do not know, a woman can be put on Progesterone which tricks her body into thinking it's pregnant. Then when they stop taking it months later, the body will think she gave birth, and she will start to lactate. It is typically done when a woman knows she will be adopting a baby month's away at birth.
Anyway, my mother had this idea that since I was having twins I would need help with breastfeeding. Like really?! At the time she smoked, drank, was on heavy duty bipolar medication, and she thought she could breastfeed my babies!? She knew had she gone to her regular doctor, he would have said no. So, she found a doc in the town over, lied to said doc and said she was 40 (she was really 55 but did look younger), and paid cash so it would not get charged to her insurance. This was 25 years ago so doc offices weren't very strict on verifying who a patient was if they were paying cash. After I gave birth, she went with me to the breastfeeding workshops the hospital offered. The day we got home from the hospital, she let me in on her plan. I was livid! And was she doing this because she wanted so much to help me? No. She told me that she never breastfed me or my siblings, so she thought I would live the idea of letting her experience it as a grandmother. I told her exactly where to take her breast, and the shriveled up milk inside of them, as they WOULD NOT be anywhere near my children. We didn't speak for about a year. We made up when I found out she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She fully took accountability for her crazy actions, and apologized profusely. She did survive and is now 80, and thankfully NOT trying to breastfeed anymore babies. I do wonder sometimes if taking the Progesterone for 7 months somehow contributed to her getting breast cancer. I hope not. will update my opinion after I listen to the entire saga.
ETA. Yes, while breast milk is always best, there is nothing wrong with formula, as long as you use a top quality formula, as some cheaper ones are sketchy with their ingredients. I contracted salmonella poisoning when the twins were 4 months, and they in turn got it from my breast milk. They both ended up in the hospital, and my son nearly died. I tried to "pump and dump" until we were all healthy again. But, the stress made my milk dry up, so I was only able to nurse my twins for 4 month, and they were on formula for the next 6 months. I breastfed my youngest for 2 years, and all 3 are healthy, happy, perfect, and one would never be able to tell which of my children drank formula. If MIL and FIL thought there was nothing wrong with what they did, why did they beg, demand, and triy to bribe OP not to tell their son. This MIL is certainly off her rocker!

I'm with you. I'm stunned they offered her hush money.
This one infuriated me, but I'm so glad the husband accepted the truth and supported his wife and daughter. And it was very satisfying that they got a restraining order, AND exposed her antics to the community. Obviously MIL knew what she was doing was wrong, because she tried to keep it all on the DL.
I feel horrible for any mother that has to go through something like this. What makes it worse is that the husband lacked the spine to protect his family. OP is a Saint for being patient with him, because I would have left long before some of this stuff was brought to light.

The restraining order was for sure something that needed to happen. Mil is sick and needs help. Its to bad she couldn't have been arrested. I don't know what I would have done, my first impulse would have been to knock her into the next state, but then I would have been arrested. As I said she is sick and should seek help.

What the grandmother did was more than kidnapping. Each time she put her breast in that baby's mouth, she was sexually assaulting her. That no one saw it that way will continue to put Ava in danger for the rest of the grandmother's and grandfather's lives. I sincerely hope they managed to move a very long way away, and that the restraining order is made permanent. That grandmother should be serving prison time for sexually assaulting her granddaughter. What the mother doesn't know because she never successfully was able to breastfeed is most times when a woman puts a baby to the breast, she has an orgasm. If that isn't sexual abuse, then I don't know what is.

First she stalked you before your children ever born and after your children is born.
Second she causes lots of stress to you, while pregnant and ever after giving birth.
Some say stress is bad for the mother and baby, ever while pregnant.
Does your mother-in-law have mental disorders or disease?????

The fact this didn't stop at her first remark shows a massive failing on OPs husband's part
Edit: Ah he's siding with her, I'm shocked. SHOCKED I TELL YOU
Update 1: Oh for f***s sake people need to drop this 'don't stoop to her level' and 'be the bigger person', that's so damn weak. if someone verbally abuses you or your loved ones they're free game. 'You have to get along for the child', is setting the kid up for failure, by showing her this crap behavior is acceptable. OP needs to stop asking for permission to take her own damn child, and stop trying to appease Bruce's mommy. OP and the baby needs to be rid of all this toxic energy, Bruce can either get with the program or shove off
Update 2: What kinda 'Hand that rocks the cradle' hell have I stumbled into? This isn't just creepy, it's SICK! OP is right, she definitely wants that kid. Also like I said last time....Manbaby's gotta go
Update 3: Nope, him crying like a toddler's not gonna win me over. For all I know one talk with mommy and he's right back to enable her and his dad
Update 4: OP nailed it, when she said she was sure she wanted the baby. She just wants to keep playing mommy, in a peverse sickening way. And fiiiineeeee Bruce's got some worth after all.
Update 5: Given the theme of stories Mr Reddito reads, I saw this coming. MIL was a safety risk. She had to go

what kind of sick f**k sh*t is this!!! MIL & FIL both have serious mental issues. MIL f's up and FIL throws money at the problem to make it disappear. Wonder how many things he's had to 'fix'. And how I truly hate 'don't sink down to their level'. How else are you going to fix the problem. Keeping the peace just shows these people that you are weak and that's they will take full advantage of that. MIL knew what she was doing was wrong as hell but no one every stood up to her until OP. I'm glad Bruce finally pulled his head out of his Mom's b*tt and did what had to be done. Stay strong OP, that restraint order might stop MIL. When and if you can move, run hard, run long, run deep and don't look back!

3? Did she say 3? Age 3? That's so wrong. 2 at most is the age you should stop. 9 months at least is the age you should stop. But even if you formula feed you shouldn't feel bad. The only time you should feel bad is if your child us not eating.

"Husband doesn't take sides. He doesn't want to choose between me or his mother."
The husband already is a failure for not standing up for his wife and tell his mother to fuck off.
The only ending: "Come on guys, what would you have done?" Call the cops for child abuse, call the cops for violating the restraining order if you see her in places where's she typically doesn't visit.
Seriously, what is it with people nowadays and refusing to get the cops involved? Many of these situations wouldn't have dragged on had the cops been called and charges pressed.

If you sunbathing topless you should remember that you are the one that took your top off, if someone sees you through the fence, or from another house, or another tree, etc. it is YOUR issue, your fault. Teen boys will be teen boys, they have been that way since the beginning of time. Talk to them about privacy, but ultimately, if you’re taking off your top in a yard next door to a teen boy, your asking for it. I bet this women was doing it fully aware of the prying eyes. She was either looking for the attention from the boy(s), or was fishing attempting to snag the friends ex-husband.

Of course if you can breastfeeding at least for a few days it gives your baby gut microbes are not only important for the babies health, but also their Neurocognitive Development. Lots of long term peer reviewed studies out there on the subject. If you can't though there is no shame either. I breastfeed my three, and let them self wean, but I NEVER EVER, and would NEVER EVER look down on or disparage mother's who don't. I hate people like the MIL! I'd be getting a restraining order, and suing her into the ground.

My oldest was breast fed for about 6 weeks before I dried up.. he is currently dux of his grade and one of the youngest of his grade too!
My youngest daughter was exclusively breastfed for 18 months before I became pregnant with my last, and while she is only 8, she is starting to struggle.
Breastfeeding has absolutely 100% ZERO affect on the child's educational accedemic abilities in the future.
Hell My mother breastfed me for 2 years and I am as dumb as a post, my partner wasn't breastfed at all given he was a micro premmie over 40 years ago and he has a less than 2% chance of survival, and if he did survive he would have no quality of life.... well he is completely normal today and he is so fricken smart!.... except for the fact his mother never bonded with him, and to this day he is still trying to seek her approval.

Breast feeding is important due to the antibodies that are transferred via the milk.
Still doesn't excuse the mother in law though, weird as hell.

    • @karinasamaniego8765
