    Love it! I'm sharing this with my scouts. Hopefully we'll get a chance to build igloos in a couple of months from now. If we don't have that type of snow, we'll try the snow coffins.

      Lol - Snow Coffins! I hope your Scouts enjoy the video and get to make some snowy creations in a few months time. I know kids have a great time making them and if the weather is right, sleeping in them too. Have fun. 😀

    Gosh what a fun bunch of people you hang out with my dear Watson, and the light show was unique. Would you recommend people first start with a tarp & your trench system or go straight to an expensive bivvy & sleeping bag?

      Yes, agreed. I have some very good friends in the Tramping Club. They’re a great group of people.
      Courses for courses really. This was a very fair-weathers night with temps just above 0°C and light wind. Had it of been too wi day, I would have slept in my tent or an igloo. The ladies who slept in their Bivvy bags were very comfortable too. They’d be better placed if the wind picked up than I would have been.
