Malaysia's Chong Wei Lee defeats India's Kashyap Parupalli in the badminton men's singles quarterfinals in the Wembley Arena at the London 2012 Olympic Games (2 August).
Badminton made its debut as a demonstration sport at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. It was not until the 1992 Games in Barcelona that it was officially included on the Olympic programme, with men's and women's singles and doubles events. The mixed doubles event made its debut in 1996 at the Atlanta Olympic Games. Since then, the number of events has remained unchanged.

LCW is all about his experience but respect my nearest country IND comment form SL
He is a living legend. Love from Indonesia
The audio is actually in sync. Amazing!
LoL
Even though I was Indian I always love lee Chong Wei..😍
So you"re chinese now
But your profile photo put lindan 😂
@@bossmanmillion4894 no he is Malaysian now
46:06 this is literally what I came for😍
one of the best back-hands in history
Do you guys know that feeling? You play a great player... you play a fantastic first game... you stay really close in the first game; you nearly win... and then in the second game, your opponent just overwhelms and outclasses you, and you feel so powerless and sad...
Lee Chong Wei is bettter tho
I know im asking randomly but does someone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
@William Roberto instablaster :)
I have been there. Led 19-18 against a formidable national player but he somehow pulled the stocks and won the game. The next game was a cakewalk for him.
It is true that LCW wasn't able to concentrate well. But that was only in the initial part of the 1st set. Kashyap was really good. He was running out of steam after that epic pre quarter clash.
😊😊
one of the best badminton match i’ve ever seen... Kasyap was brilliant in this Olmpics edition
Still remember this match vividly without going into it without any expectations, was sad for kashyap and ended up being LCW fan.
Lee Chong Wei Backhand Smash - 46:07
I can see Lee Chong Wei's expression bearing the pain of his ankle.
2:13 When there is no mirror to look at yourself and the camera lens is there.
kashyap was quite close to winning the first game ..that too against the world no.1 . Which is highly appreciable . Well done.
Prakash S kk
Kashyap is pretty good, he needs to save his energy for long term.
The problem was that the 1st set was having lot of rallies.
Hahaha lol kasyap😂👎🏿
Term of what😆
you can feel Kashyap was narvous which would cause you more energy
Though Kashyap lost je created history 🇮🇳by become first ever Indian men badminton player to enter quarter finals in Olympic
Too intense. Can imagine the pressure on both players.
lcw literally u are my hero , my inspiration I fell in love with u.....
Kashyap played a decent game here but no match to legend LCW. I am an Indian but I can't bear anybody beating LCW. A ground to earth person.
La din
Then you are very soft
15:08 He went from defending a smash backhand to smashing cross court in ONE STEP.
46:07 that backhand smash.
46:05 woah, what the hell
+ThePoignancy like taufik hidayat
+ThePoignancy Too boss! I wish I could do that tomorrow in my tournament. D:
ThePoignancy It's Taufik's style
ThePoignancy and J"
Mental!
Bothr r wonderful in smashing
Lcw quickly gets into frnt court while Parupalli receives well in service.
Kashyap is good but his energy was drained in the second set
my middle finger to all the politicians of India ..!!!
tossing the shuttle high in the air for LCW is like inviting trouble ...!! he is too gud in such situations..with lightning speed power smashes...
What racquet that LCW use?
Voltaic Z Force
Lee is master in this game
Parupalli very good.
Please upload Kim Sa Rang / Kim Gi Jung vs Fu Haifeng / Nan Zhang from Rio 2016
Please don't mention the winner in the title
what the fck is wrong with u? This is a match 8 years ago
Why does the line judge sometimes shout and other times not, is there a specific time to shout?
If it's out, the judge must scream "Out!". If it's in, they don't have to scream
wonder who are those 59 peoples disliked it!!!!!
He was interesting ly standing near last line not in middle..
Its the politicians which is holding the country back. Otherwise, there is talent aplenty.
Matlab
There are many indian players that are capable of playing international tournaments, but to qualify for such tournaments your name needs to be recommended to the intl board by the national coaches. But some times these coaches are biased. (This is just example),currently saina nehwal isn't doing good in tournaments, there might be better players than saina nehwal but the national committee won't recommended others names, bcoz people want to see saina play, rather than some other uprising players.
Politic kills.. Indian has a lot of good players
India lost admit it
Its just a blame game, when you can't achieve anything you just blame others
racket was on the net when defending
Da game
India❤️from Sri Lanka
45:58 Wow
Chong Wei Lee: *said that's very good keep it up.*
Super
13:00なぜフォルトなのですか?
ドングリライト 実況によると、LCWのショットの打点がネットを超えていたからだと思われます。違っていたらすみません。
Kashyap really played well in first game.. hope he would have won the match huge respect for him🌟
Respect for P Kashyap ❤️
Serve?
46:06 LCW backhand smash 😍😍😍
well play kasyap...
I like kashyap play than srikant....

Don't forget Lee Chong wei is injury in Olympic 2012 when he was training half court also very hard bcz he leg was injury
look like LCW was not concentrate on the 1st game
😒
leg pain
46:08 - when LCW possessed by taufiq hidayat :D
Check the rally at 45:51 way cool
審判ニコニコしてていいなw
23:17 good rally
kashyaps 5th point in first set is in
Is Chong lei Wei the same guy as lei Chong Wei?
Yes
LCW took him at the net in 2nd set
It should be Lee Chong Wei not Chong Wei lee
Kashyap is damm good
Ich denke der 2. Aufschlag war ein kleiner Fehler im Spiel. Hätte er den Ball ein klitzkleinen Tick vorher getroffen wäre das Match seins gewesen. Trotzdem schönes Spiel in fast allen Hinsichten
smash 21:27
well, at least he's good looking!
Lee c w too pro . until kashap no change to control this game
8:47
you think a country of over a billion people plays just one sport...
A country of over 1 billion have many things to deal apart from sports
13:10 found the reason
👍👍👍
that smash was nuthing..poweless compared to taufiq's backhand power smash
🇮🇳
lcw coach speak hokkien, i thought he speak cantonese ...haha
hmmm
LCW plays more aggressive, that indian doesn't want make big smash even got chance at 1st set 19-20, waste the chance to catch up LCW at last.
Yeah thats the difference bw no 1 and no 10 ..lcw is so smooth on his feet and look after hitting a smash how fast he is to take another one
Sp
One side massacre.
Nice your short your bad name
i didnt know india plays anything else but cricket

It was just a matter of time when that Ketchup guy ran out of his tricks. No match for LCW
