China's Lin Dan takes of Ireland's Scott Evans in the Group P match of the men's badminton singles event from the Wembley Arena at the London 2012 Olympic Games (30 July).
Badminton made its debut as a demonstration sport at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. It was not until the 1992 Games in Barcelona that it was officially included on the Olympic programme, with men's and women's singles and doubles events. The mixed doubles event made its debut in 1996 at the Atlanta Olympic Games. Since then, the number of events has remained unchanged.

two points two shuttles what is this thr shuttles are not tested before the game must be a ruling relating to changing of shuttles it is unreasonable to change it after losing the point just shown lin dan changing the shuttles one after another i think this is he is saying he lost the points due to the shuttles what an excuse very lame for this it can be narrated as the compny producung these shuttles are not coming out with quality shuttles is this the issuetherefore those players who lost can come out and say this is the cause of their lost , what is the life span from the start of the shuttle being played what is the guaranteed life span of the shuttle, ie in a play singles or doubles, smashes is this the cause of the deueriorating of the shuttle and how is it affecting the flight to make the player lose a play.

+famefed01 You probably think too much about it and I also never heard of any player blaming their defeat for shuttle. The reason that players like to ask for shuttle change as far as we know is a trick to buy more time catching their breath between rallies. Also, not all the shuttle in the same pack will have the same quality and may break depends on how it is hit. You can only do the test on a sample shuttle and the rest is passed if the sample shuttle is passed. There is no way to test every single shuttle. Even in analytical chemistry lab which I'm doing, we can only have time to test the product sample.
