Expected to get clickbaited. Most people are aware of what burpees are, but I've never seen that many levels of variation and that was actually helpful, so thanks for that.

Good stuff, tried the back flip, need some new lapshades, oh! and the TV doesn't work anymore. Once my neck is out of plaster, I might slow down a little on the cream cakes, see if that makes a difference as well.

You appear to exude a great positive dynamic in this video, along with the advice, which I heartily endorse due to my own experience with it. However, I now only do this level of exercise about every couple of months or so, and only when I WANT TO, not because I feel I have to. I have found my own methods of creative visualization which have supplanted the long hours of "working out" I used to do for 45 years. I haven't had a headache or cold, or ache or pain of any kind since 2012 after creating my own visualization techniques, and I occasionally do several sets of chin-ups and push-ups just to make sure I can still do the same number I could do when I was in my 30's (I'm almost 60), and I'm quite happy with the results. Great video, by the way!

      +Juan Perez Hello

    • @TappBrothers
      @TappBrothers  8 ปีที่แล้ว +99

+Timothy Ⓥ Thanks for sharing brotha! I would have to disagree with using calorie restriction as an efficient and practical way for burning fat. I used to agree with calorie restriction but due to the recent research and discoveries I've found in physiology, restricting the number of calories consumed seems to be a poor solution to burn fat. Here are links to some good articles and studies: (www.nature.com/news/calorie-restriction-falters-in-the-long-run-1.11297) (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1083868/) (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/19198647/?i=2&from=/18198305/related)
We can see in studies where people eat tons of calories or restrict their calories that in the short term, there is a fluctuation in body weight, then the body goes back to its set point. This is because calories alone don't cause us to burn fat or gain fat. It's the type of calories we are eating and the effects these have on our hormones, which regulate the storage or burning of fat. The same principle applies to exercise. It's not the exercise but the type of exercise that then creates the correct hormonal response to burn fat and build muscle. With that said running is a great way to burn fat, especially if we are doing sprints. But for others with bad joints and etc. The lower version of the burpee can be easier on the body and induce the same hormonal response we want to see from our workout to efficiently burn body fat in a short amount of time.

+TappBrothers I knew you were going to say Burpees! Ha! I agree with you. Sprinting and/or Burpees. Burpees have the advantage that you don't need a lot of space to do them. For me, normal Burpees include the Pushup. I liked the Calf Raise variation.

Yo Tapp bros., been awhile since the last Get Fitt challenge I love doing the burpee, I actually have 3 variations i do during my MMA strength and condiitioning circuit:
-Burpee sprawls with a 20 lb med. ball: hold the ball and drop into your burpee like avoiding a takedown in grappling, do the push up and then jump back up and toss the ball high and catch, then repeat.
-Burpee with a box jump: pretty much explains itself, except my box jump is about 3 feet high, works on the vert. leap
-Punchout, spral, ground and pound:I usually do this one over a heavy bag on the ground. Throw 10 punches per hand with high knees, sprawl or drop into burpee, sit on bag like the full mount, and throw 10 strikes per hand to the bag, and return to pushup position and back up like the burpee, then repeat.

??? who the hell is able to do a back flip to begin with? I certainly cant
Its better to do a burpee and when you jump up, bring your knees up to your chest, then land...down to press up, jump, knees up to chest, down to pressup.. .etc etc repeat.
If you cant bring up the chest, just try bringing up your knees at any height....very very difficult and uses tonnes of calories

Very easy to do and if you cut back on sugars you can probably see amazing results with this.

For crying out loud. Fat comes off your body as a collective you cannot burn fat in one specific place although a lot of people burn fat on there body's naturally in a different order to other people for example fat could come off your upper body... chest neck etc and then the last place that the fat burns off your body is your belly and some other people may be the other way around. YOU CANNOT BURN FAT IN SPECIFIC AREAS #yesthisdoestriggerme

burpees are amazing. you can also add pullups to the mix, or what i do sometimes is start off with my back on the floor, go on to full situp, getup and do the burpee from there. it's crazy what u can do with that 1 movement, it's amazing.

Burpee AKA shoulder killer, it looks cool but that's where the trouble is. Speed is also a factor which forces carelessly but rapidly do the push up.

I realize this video and comments are years old, but I'm hoping to get an answer anyway. Is this workout an everyday workout or should it be limited to something less? I did my first 10 min burpee workout yesterday and OMG, it is an ass kicker!! If this is an everyday workout, great, I'll work towards getting there. If it's not, I need to know that too so I don't do more harm than good. Thanks!!
