question. which one do you find harder? bench or post? is there a significant difference? i've been trying on a bench. so far i could hold 45 degrees with both feet on negatives then i fail at the lower portion.

Thank you Tapp brothers you guys are really helpful. I've been searching for a tutorial on how to do this move and useful progression steps to achieve it and honestly this video is the most helpful. Also you should do a video on how to do the shoulder flag and maybe in the future do a video on all the other plank variations to try to achieve better core strength results like. Plank with side touches, plank with forward touches and other variations to try to make the plank more challenging. Any who thanks again love all your videos!

  • @jessenhow8657
    @jessenhow8657 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but how exactly do you raise and lower yourself? Do you... A) keep a stiff straight lower body, while your arms and lats do the raising and lowering (kind of like a lat pulldown where your lower body is the weight) and your upper back "rolls" back and forth across the ground, or B) keep a stiff upper body, i.e your lats and arms are there to just keep a stable base, and your core is doing the lowering and raising while trying to keep your lower body straight, and your upper back doesn't shift at all?

i know your comment is old, by for anyone wonder the same thing (I got my self laid up in bed and was facing the same question) Electrical muscle stimulation, also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation or electromyostimulation, is the contraction of muscle using electrodes (think TENS unit but for muscle instead of nerves) you may have seen EMS advertised as a "magic" muscle building short cut (which it isn't effective for) so many people are confused about what the actual practical applications of it are. what EMS can do, is help increase strength by 50%, and improve muscle endurance 70%*
in its practical use, EMS is used as medical treatment on injured athletes to keep them form loosing muscle mass during the healing period, by contracting muscle without any real resistance.
ask a heath professional if it is suitable for your specific case
      hope that helps

  • @taraxa287

Ok so, the dragonflag can be done in bad form pretty easily, here in this video i see countless examples for bad form:
    1. you dont keep your leg, back, upperbody in a straight line through the whole rotation, thats pretty darn bad for your lower back!!!
    2. You hold yourself tightly with your arms, so you dont train your core, again..
    3. You overstretch to more than 90° (over your belly), relieving the core of the heavy duty, yet again you dont train your core efficiently.
My advice: dont do the dragonflag, if you watch it performed or perform it yourself in such bad form...

Hi everyone. I came across this video and I decided to take a shot and
try this exercise. In my case I'm a skinny guy and I'm used to work my
abs by doing mat abs routines like bicycle crunches, knee crunches, leg
lifts etc. I've been doing this for about two years now. Today I tried
dragon flags for the first time and I recorded myself while (trying) to
do at least one, I saw myself doing some bending mistakes and corrected
them (tried my best to). The first thing I felt was a great discomfort
in the rhomboid minor muscle area of my back (see picture)
s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/1d/39/91/1d3991e9edc643ec706c4f597bd6ddbf.jpg . I started the basic way however every time I lowered my legs the bigger the discomfort, I thought I was going to crack in half. Honestly I feared more the pain I felt in my back than
the exercise itself. My question is: Is it normal to have that kind of discomfort during this exercise?
