Mrs Pants enjoys a banana after being rescued

Mrs Pants is feeling much better after being rescued out of fruit tree netting this morning and she is now enjoying a banana and a sweet drink.
The scourge of flying-fox rescuers across Australia, large aperture anti bird netting is used to protect backyard fruit trees against predation from birds, bats and possums.
Sadly many flying-foxes are trapped and many die when unsafe netting is used.
Happily on this occasion, we rescued two batties out of the one netted tree and both will be released back to the wild following time in care.
Please never use any netting you can poke a finger through as it is extremely dangerous to all wildlife.
Instead choose shade cloth type netting.

Makes sense, their method of flight is generally less efficient than birds, requiring much more flapping .

@@emeraldlook8042 If you're down in the South US, that's called the 'itis'. ;) But it's legit; take a look at family functions, and consider when the worst fights happen. Almost always before the meal is served, or at least before it's finished. Once everyone's stuffed, the energy to fight drops drastically.
