Some of you may remember Miss Tiffany who came into my care in October last year weighing in at a tiny 48 grams.
With barely any fur and bulbous sealed eyes, Tiffy was a premmie baby who turned out to be a tough little cookie who has been steadily growing and will soon be soft released back to the wild.
In a world of flying-fox hazards, ignorance and prejudice, we must continue to work hard to educate and improve the future for one of Australia's most important native species.....our magnificent flying-foxes.

The only thing terrifying about Miss Tiff is if you happen to be a grape.
I totally agree!! You also forgot she's a total terror to people allergic to adorable cute flying puppies! It like.. what will she do? Squeak you to death at most?? Hang off your arm and eat your entire fruit bowel? Yep. Cute!
Terra Ravaine Or, you know. Legitimate fears like if it has rabbies or other diseases, bites and scratches your face where you have to suffer the rest of your life because of an awful mistake... not scary at all...

Bats are no scarier than wild rabbits...they’re cute but caution would be advised. They could have rabies or they could not...you never know.

I remember this little sweetheart! She was so very tiny. It's really nice to see that she made it, and is healthy. Here's to a long life for Tiffany, with lots of lovely babies.
Happy to hear she will be released with other bats not kept as a pet.

but her left eye dont work or not...? she only look and klick with her right eye and the left one is ever open and looks defect...

Absolutely Adorable glad to see she’s doing good, sadly these days people seem to care more about growing and expanding our reach and power as humans that we forget about conservation and the importance of other species

Flying foxes are so beautiful and adorable, I honestly wish people weren't tearing down their habitats. She was so cute when she bit the grape aswell. Uwu
Here where i live they got so adapted to the city, they became the pigeons (or squirrels) of the night. Sometimes they get stuck in my home and i have to help them get out (not before giving a banana piece to convince them to lol).
The conservation efforts in Australia are always the most admirable and inspiring. I love bats so often misunderstood but just adorable creatures. People who go through the effort of helping these animals are true heroes.

Lil' Tiffany has been on a long journey to recovery, but it so good to see that she's in good health & she ready to return to her colony.
I've always been scared to death of bats since I've been told it could get stuck in my hair. All the BS we hear. But you, Miss Tiff, have changed my whole perception of bats. how cute you are my sweetie ! I'm nuts about you ! Really nuts ! many kisses to you from Quebec, Canada.

never though a bat could be cute. lived on Orcas Island many years ago San Juan Washington state the little mini ones I thought were birds, until one flew into my house, was not afraid after I realized it was a bat had the cutest of faces!
We do get to see small bats around time to time in Ottawa. Everyone I know loves them.
