This is my second time doing this video. I love it. I'm struck by how much more intense it is than the others -- I have the lips shakes! I would love to see this kind of intensity for the jowls/neck. Thank you!
That is such great feedback Betsy, and a great challenge for me! I purposely added greater resistance training into this workout as the lip area is somewhere that greatly benefits from it! You are right, a good strong neck workout would be ideal too, coming very soon! xx
Hi Jessica! That makes me so happy to hear!!! Absolutely!!! I will move that to the very top of the priority filming list for you, it's a part of my daily routine so I think you will love it too! Thanks again so much Jessica, always happy to take on your requests! x
One more question - for the tongue pusher when trying to keep lips together while doing it it creates lines around my lips - so in this case is it better to relax mouth and focus on tongue push even if mouth is slightly open as opposed to yours which remains closed? Thanks again for this magnificent video with extra resistance work and for your advice!
I have this problem with all the lip exercises. No matter what I do it wrinkles. For this one though I just relax the lips as much as possible which stops the wrinkles and focus all energy on the tongue pushing, and wow does it start to burn on the second half of the exercise. Until I get stronger with this one I end up having to take a couple second break. These are some intense exercises!
Absolutely! Next month's video is for the "11 lines" between the brows, but I have just bumped the eye workout up the list for you, so watch out for it after the next video! :)
What does staying consistent for best results look like, doing everyday? And I feel as though I'm creating wrinkles when I do the lip definer exercise... should I skip this one or is there a tip? Thank you 🙏 love your videos.
I do 10 minutes per day (mixing it up with the different routines) 5 days per week :) With the lip definer exercise, try not pouting at all, justpush you thumb into relaxed, neutral lips, and only then just slightly press against the resistance of the thumb, just enough so there is no pursing or puckering of the lips, this might help you achieve the technique needed for this exercise. Do you find that helps? xx
Lisa, I used to do the exercise where you push your thumb into your lips as part of another face yoga routine. I broke my tooth and created a lump on my gum. Wanted to let you know so maybe you could warn others not to push too hard.
@@FREE-kh5vx firstly, are you ok? 🩷 hope you are ok now and I am sorry to hear that happened. Secondly, I want to make sure you are gentle with yourself from here on in, the pressure/resistance created by any exercise should only be just enough that you feel the sensation in a comfortable and enjoyable way. You should never feel pain or go beyond a light/medium resistance. For this move (if you were to ever try it again) the lips push back against the thumb too to create the push/pull effect, but only just enough so you feel the muscle engage. If you need guidance for any other movements don’t hesitate to reach out. Be well and look after yourself 🩷
@@PilatesByLisa Thank you Lisa! I'm ok. It took about $800 to fix though and I'll have to keep having the dentist treat my tooth to keep the crack from getting worse.

Hi Vera! I designed this workout specifically for those with lines above the lip in mind. I recommend doing this routine in front of the mirror to ensure you are not creating lines and adjusting the intensity as needed. I just recommended to another user for the lip definer exercise, try not pouting at all, just push you thumb into relaxed, neutral lips, and only then just slightly press against the resistance of the thumb, just enough so there is no pursing or puckering of the lips (this is the correct technique.) Make sure as well for the lip plumper you watch my tip at the start of the exercise and look in the mirror to make sure you are not pursing but pushing the lips out too xx
You mean for the second to last exercise with the thumb push? It’s more about tensing your lips against the thumb to create that resistance, that’s all you need to worry about. I put the thumb on my lips first and then just kind of tighten and push them forward into the thumb and it creates a burning sensation after a little bit, you really feel it!
Thank you so much for this video this is great with some new exercises so I’m Very thankful for them. Quick question re the first move that makes lines on the opposite side of the face and around the lips even though I tried not to purse. Shall I hold the border around my face to prevent this?
That’s what I do, similar to her previous video which includes this exercise, just hold the sides of your face and it does help a little but not completely. I honestly don’t know how to do a lot of these moves without any wrinkles forming 😅 I just make sure to include other exercises and massages which correct wrinkles to try and make up for it.
@@aventuramami sure! I hope it’s helpful. I’ve come to absolutely love face yoga/massage in the past 5 months or so and consider it essential now, I can’t believe I only just discovered it at 42 years old!
I am with you except for the spoon thing. I have heavy spoon handles and my teeth cut into my lip during this with my teaspoon. I won’t use this video again. But I really like all your other videos ❤️
You can use anything else you may have on hand, perhaps a pencil, pen, metal straw or anything else you can find! I can totally understand if you are using something heavy and large how that could happen. I hope to see you back again xxx
@@PilatesByLisa I don’t feel like using a lead pencil or a pen that could break in my mouth is a wise decision. As for the straw, in the video you said a teaspoon was cheating…? So I’m just going to use your earlier videos. Those were all really well thought out🙂
This video is well thought out and the exercises work, you just need the proper tool. What I’ve realized is I have to have the right spoon or else the exercise is painful, in other words the right size/weight with a handle that is smooth without any designs in it which cut into the skin. I now have a designated, medium sized spoon with a smooth handle for this exercise and it works great. Best of luck to u!
This is exactly what I have been waiting for, thank you Lisa!!!!!
