I've come to conclusion that literally everyone hates the VQ sound but in reality i think it's the best sounding v6 ever tbh
It's definitely divisive
why does this dude not have more followers this is an amazing review especially for someone who's looking to get into a g35 like myself
Thanks for the support, slow and steady. Best of luck if you decide on a G35
I was thinking the same thing. He should be doing more car reviews. Great video. I have a 2003 G35 sedan which is why this video even came up. Glad to have come across this.
Get busy!
Slow n Steady!
(Me too, 🤣)
I was thinking the same damn thing!
Great review man! As a g35 owner I definitely have to agree with the gas gauge being the most annoying thing haha. I ran out like twice in the same month😂
haha yup, walk of shame to the gas station
Lol so now you own two small gas cans
Had the same issue with the gas gauge not working. Luckily I have the navigation pkg so I was able to see fuel status on screen. Then I read about placing a magnet over the gas gauge needle and moving it ard. Miracously fixed my problem!
Yesss! Lol the gas gage don't know where it's at lol
I too had the gauge problem... found out by running out.. lol. I took out the fuel sensor from the tank(backseat acces) and cleaned the crap buildup from the contacts and the gauge seemed to start working again. Thankfully my trip meter still works so I keep tabs on that also. I'm at 240k miles on my '06. She's been a trooper
Just got rid of my G35x for a Q50 3.0t a few months ago. I purchased the G35 with 140k miles. Had it for 6 years, great purchase for me. Transmission went out at around 185k miles. A few small repairs here and there DIY. After that it was smooth sailing until I had problems with the sensors and ECU around 240k miles. Got it to 249k before I got rid of it, loved every moment and I believe it could’ve lasted longer if I was car savvy back then. This car for sure made me a great garage mechanic. Take care of your car and it will take care of you.
High mileage, I love it!
I got a g35 and want a q50 how is it?
Hope it's not a 2014 q50
@@lionkingsmilk1211 I love it, especially coming from an 05 it’s a huge upgrade
@@2timesx2times.ahhhhhhhbaaa91 it’s a 2018!
I am 45 years old and I am a proud owner of a manual G35 with full bolt ons and Admintuned. I have to say, the goods outway the bad. This is just simply a fun nice looking car to drive with qualities you can't find in any other car at this price range today. Great review!
Thanks, I definitely agree on good > bad esp at this price
Ever think of HR swap? Going to a 37 or Q??
Outweigh
There's a forgotten just fact people fail to mention these days. I just graduated high school when this G came out and I remember everyone wanted it because of the unique exhaust sound. Nissan spent tons of money just to make that exhaust sound the way it sound. Its very unique and is what made Infiniti's of that era unique with their exhausts. No other cars at the time sound better than the G35 and the Infiniti SUVs of the time.
Agreed, personal preference but I'm a fan
Spot on bro! I was like in 7th or 8th grade when the seed was planted. Up to this day I spin my head around or I’ll just be walking and be like “yup, that’s a VQ”! Anytime I hear one. It was so unique. God I love my cold starts.
@@Im2high4u92 yup and people who did change to a "louder exhaust" lost that unique sound
@@timetrialist yessir!! The only exhaust I’d get is that damn motordyne with the art pipes..other than that I just got my intake and I’m happy.
great review
I have my 2004 G35 for about 10 years now with over 230K miles on with no issues at all and still running strong
I love this car
Heck yeah, that's some good mileage there!
I’ve got mine with 256,000 as of today, she’s still pulling
I was given one , relative who I have helped out on many occasions, asked if I wanted his 2004 with the sport option with 120K on it. . Engine is great,he always took care of that. Paint failure on the roof and left hood as in peeling off. Drivers seat leather is a mess, which I found out is common, Bose amp can be intermittent, common, and the thing thunks over bumps= suspension rebuild. I have a friend who worked at Nissan HQ in quality control, he said they price shop parts looking to save $$ looking for 100k in reliability vs . Toyota which looks for parts that don't break. I have had two Lexus GS cars with none of these problems with age and higher miles. That said the car is a great driver and worth fixing the problems- anyone got a drivers seat?
@@billybob2844how's the car doing now ?
Love the review. I have an '06 I bought with 20k miles on it. It now has 195k miles and is on still on the original clutch. Other than a few small issues ( fuel gauge, tire sensors, seat tear) and some small fixes (cam sensor, radiator fan, brake caliper) it still runs like a dream. Oh yeah, and it doesn't burn oil.
No oil consumption here 🤙
I just replaced my clutch at 214k
Stock motor stock trans at 245k miles still running very strong 😤
@@ousmanezeba1329
this gives me hope. my z will reach 200k soon and i'm considering selling it before engine blows
I agree and have a few of these problems with my 06. I have replaced most all of the suspension parts on mine, but the motor is running strong at 172k miles.. Thank you for sharing..
As a former owner of a 2003 coupe, YES BUY THAT G35!!! It's very hard to find a car that feels as 'lively' as the G35.
Are they good cars I thinking of buyin one tomorrow
Wow a great review!!! As a G35 owner you hit the nail on the head with this car and why it's actually a great and SUPER underrated car but by the time people find out how good and reliable it really is it will be too late and too expensive as well.
Appreciate it! Prices have stayed fairly low, luckily they sold pretty well. But I'm sure down the road prices will go up some
I would love a whole series of these videos. This production and direction is so well done, I wish I had a video like this on the old LS430's cause I'm looking to buy one of those for my daily rn and a video like this would be fantastic. Can't wait to see what you put out in the future.
Appreciate it! Definitely working on some cool things, stay tuned
Before I bought my 07 G35X, I was driving a 98 LS400 and if it had four-wheel-drive I would've kept it forever. That's what sold me on the g35x was the all wheel drive, later I found out how much I loved this car. The LS400 was my wife's favourite ever!
Awesome review, agreed on everything since I had one for 7 years and enjoyed every bit of it and just recently bought another one :)
This is the best review I’ve ever see for anything!!! Man’s really educated me
The quality of this review blew me away. I very rarely leave comments on TH-cam but I just had to. Keep up the great work man. Crazy you don't have more subs. Definitely EASILY earned a sub from me.
Thanks, that means a lot Senjou da
Wow, amazing review. Probably the best one I’ve seen on TH-cam for this car.
Thanks paycloud!
Brilliant video.
I have a 2005 coupe and love it. I'm in Spain and they are rare here, probably all US imports. I went through all the problems and fixed them. I fixed the clock aswell. I might upload a video on repairing it if enough interest. The 3rd brake light needs the 2 diodes changing for larger ones 1N5404's so that works also.
That's awesome, I had no idea they weren't common there
Dude as long term revup owner, you are right on the money, from the idle chatter in drive thrus to the doors auto closing on your shins to the 19s clunking over everything, but i still love it. Timeless styling, bulletproof drivetrain, provided its fed oil often. It's never let me down and i used to drive it across the city 7 days a week before covid. Effortless highway cruiser, and swings all corners it comes across. It's like a bullshark testosterone injection everytime you drive it. Its always saying, fuck it, do it. It makes me wonder the question, does the car make the douchebag, or does the douchebag make the car? Why not both. Thanks Nissan.
haha well put
How much would it cost to fix the idle noise? Should I be to worried about it ? I just bought a 2005 g35 like 4days ago & it makes the same noise
Fantastic long term review. I now know exactly what quirks to look out for with these cars. Great job.
Thanks! Lots of small things
Hey, thanks for your honest and entertaining review! Your review played a big part in my choice to buy a beautiful uber clean G35. Every car has its faults but none of them were deal breakers for tgese cars. Not even close. These are just fun cars that keep a driver connected to the car. No touchscreen, auto this or that. Simple. Fun. Affordable. Thanks again, dude!
Awesome to hear! I hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed mine
The next big car review channel. Love this dude!
love you too Caleb Kim
I have a 2nd hand Nissan Skyline 250gt and have the same door issue. I purchased and shipped the door link from Japan and fix them on all my 4 doors. Now it is working great! Great review anyway! We love our Skyline. 👍
Interesting, I didn't know it was an issue on the 4 door as well. Well done on fixing it!
I was about 22 years old when this car came out. At the time it was my realistic dream car. I swore to myself I would someday own one but by the time I could afford one the G37 had came out and it just seemed like a better idea to buy a new one instead of going for the G35. I'm 41 now and have moved on to an Audi RS5 but I'll never forget the way the G35 had me captivated when I first saw one drive by. I remember exactly where I was. The sound I heard from a block away, the gorgeous looks, and that amazing (to me at the time) fat dual exhaust system poking out the back. I wish the Q60 made me feel the same way but it just doesn't.
RS5 sounds like a fun car too
Excellent cinematography, volume control, editing, witty while also informative! Well done good sir!
Thanks Eric!
Great review I'm 23 and this car was my dream car in middle and high school. After a few years of saving I got a 06 g35 coupe completely stock at auction for 3k in early 2020 needed a bunch of repairs but over 6 months and 4.5 k later it has been reliable fun daily. I plan to keep it for a long time maybe some light mods nothing crazy deciding between new leather seats or a invidia gemini cat back
Nice, sounds like a fun project and making it yours
Oh man this made me laugh a lot. I'm looking into a 350GT so your extra info about the VQ variants was great. Thanks!
Happy to hear, good luck on the search!
Nah this content, editing and little humor is really good my man, you shallll get the following you want just stay consistent! Good video my man
Thanks Tajaun!
hey man, love the video. i drive a 2006 g35 in silver AND live in your area. This is the first video I've seen of yours and knew I recognized the car somehow. Cant wait to see more content, keep up the good work!
Thanks! Hopefully see ya around some time
“It’s reliable, the important parts st least” is a perfect way to sum up this car. I got mine for my 18th birthday with 140k miles on it already and it has made it to almost 200k in the last 4 years almost flawlessly. I love it
Gotta love high mileage, keep it going!
Great video man, really enjoyed how you went about this review. Very entertaining to watch and informative! Think you should do more car reviews, you have a unique style
Thanks, appreciate it!
MAN IM CONVINCED!! I haven’t been wanting to bite the bullet on a g35 I’m so excited now
Make it happn captn!
Great review! Surprised to find it came from someone with so few subscribers, you def deserve more bro.
Thanks Nathan, working on it
I've got an '05 G35x (sedan). Love it thus far. One of the best cars to drive in snow/winter with its power/torque, awd and weight
Really well put together video, that was an awesome review and fun to watch
Glad you enjoyed it!
This format and production surprised me to see only 1.7k. Subbed n notis on.
Thanks, happy to have ya
Sooo happy I bought and still have my G. Good video youngin.
Great review man, subscribed! Bought mine 5 years ago, never gets old!
Thanks for the sub!
Literally have all the same problems on my G. Thought i was the only one... Thanks!

I had a 04 coupe for 4 years loved it was super reliable then upgraded to 37 sport coupe wrecked it then bought another g37 sport but really missed my g35 so today i bought a g35 and i still have the g37. Love them both.
Good vid man great editing I love my G35
Picked up an 05 g35 sedan for 4500 a couple months ago I love a few problems but nothing I can’t do myself awesome car, great video
Absolutely amazing review!
Thanks!
Nice job keeping up on the Maintenance
This was one of the best reviews I’ve ever watched
Thanks Jordan, appreciate that!
Underrated channel Fr! Keep up the good content bro!
Appreciate it vqisaac
Wow what an awesome video! Thanks for putting this out as someone thinking about picking up a g37 I’ve seen a few this stands out. Bro I looked at your channel and without owning 100 cars it’s prob tough to find content topics but this is certainly an area you posses some serious talent. If you found a medium for content that you could post weekly your channel would blow up, I’m subscribing because I am expecting big things out of this channel over the next couple years!
Thanks! Possibly the most uplifting comment, I really appreciate it! Plan on putting more content out and hopefully more reviews down the road
This video was epic!!! Loved every minute.
Thanks!
wow love this format and channel, cant believe you don't have more subs.
Thanks! working on it, not a ton of videos yet
@@windows_down_ keep it up man! would love to see what content you have in store for the future.
Best review I have seen on the g35/350gt . Well done. I want one !!
Hey, thanks! Not a bad time to get one
Got my 2005 G35 Coupe with 34 miles on my baby. I just went over 200k. She still runs great although she sounds like a diesel as he explained in the video, lol. I have changed many window motors, the doors close on their own and she loves her oil. Oh and the paint has started to fade. But when I get on her she can still pick up speed pretty fast. She's my baby and we are in this to the end. Thanks
200k, love to hear that
Amazing humor and great overall review. U earned a subscriber bro
Great to hear!
amazing video bro. makes me want to show some more love to my G.
This dudes only got a bit over 1k subs where the FUCK did this quality come from? Passion. The same passion he has for his g35. Subscribe to this man!
Thanks Blackoutz!
Awesome Video man! You earned sub! I already have a g35 but was just watching videos of it to get me motivated into actually fixing mine up ahaha cheers, From new Zealand!
Cheers Joshua!
First car was a 2004 G35x sedan, crashed It 6 months later and 3 months after that bought a 2004 G35 coupe 6MT and I’ve had I’d for 3 years and it literally apart of my soul at this point. Lots of ups and downs but I love her 🖤
Saw that Pittsburgh baby 🖤💛you need to upload more could have a massive fan base very professional
Appreciate it man, right now battling quantity vs quality. Takes a while to edit
Great video, good job.
Dude, what an awesome video!
Thanks Tetris! and what an awesome game
Awesome review!
Thanks!
I liked and subbed, nice review brother. Definitely should do a vqhr swap with the RB trans then you'll be king in your city👑
very well made video good job 👍
Just sold my 06 I had for about 12 years. Great car but mpg was killing me! Glad it went to a good home
Good stuff bossman
Dope a** review, video editing was fun to watch and had me engaged with all of the very good info.. awesome vid!!
Thanks a lot!
Loved this review 👍🤣
The car has its quirks and problems but ive never had to spend any money on getting major repairs done to it. It runs strong as long as you take care of it. Plus its very fun to mod if you got the money for it. One of the best inexpensive Japanese sports cars ever made
great video! i'd add the expensive window motors for the huge windows to the list but thats about it haha
Man watching this really made me appreciate my G more. About to hit 80k miles after 6 years ownership with everything still in mint condition. Even have the original first aid kit.
How much for it lol
80k only damn bro
Ong top tier review. Surprised when i saw the sub count being too low
Thanks, we'll get there
Great review and awesome editing, subscribed.
Thanks!
I have a video of myself (2008 HR G35xS) going 120+mph with a 2003 6 Speed & we are neck & neck.... it's pretty awesome. They are definitely NOT slow cars! The manuals are to be respected. Especially when you KNOW they aren't stock.
Very stiff suspension but that makes it the best handling. So well planted. One of the smoothest engines.
I've had my 06 since 2011. Never really had any major issues with. It only has 116k miles on it. Always get compliments and offers for it, not selling ever. Oh my driver side window motor is out.. Lol. Great review 💯
Thanks Patrick, long time holder - nice
G35 sedan was my first car. Loved it. Pretty quick and practical. 👍🏻
My buddy got one of these so I thought I'd learn a bit more about them. Cool video 👍
I know those back roads all too well. Awesome vid!
Thanks, awesome place to go for a drive
Great review. These things are STILL beautiful, 20 years later. The stock exhaust sound is so distinct and is amazing. Are the doors that automatically close broken and need new springs or are they all like that? Really hoping to get one of these at some point. Been a fan of them since 2003 and good ones are becoming harder and harder to find. Someday soon!
awesome review
It's the best car I ever drove it's the best edition I think very accurate easy to drift I love it ,I would get back 1 in my position as a classic which it is
haha me and my dad loved this video funny and great information almost convinced me to get a g35, really learning towards it, but keep it up man love the vid 😂
Hey, glad you enjoyed it. Best of luck on the decision
Great job on the reviews! I have an 06 sport sedan with 5spd auto. All factory no mods odometer is almost at 300,00 everything still works as should. Love the looks of both 2 and 4 door. Again great reviews!
Oh yeah.....and I forgot lol the gas gauge doesn't work and boy it's an oilaholic lol
haha thanks for the feedback. And hey, if most of everything else is working at 300k, I'll call that a win!
Great reviews and you’re hilarious bro
Thanks!
Perfect review
Fire review bro
Thanks!
I've had my 2010 EX35 for 9 years - basically the old mans version of the G (cause i got those kids yo...). I get so much flack for having an older car, but it's a solid vehicle where it counts (Engine, handling and it's FUN to drive). Very minor DIY repairs...and yeah...it's leaking oil again...but it just needs a new pan gasket. Great review.
Old are cool cars in my book, glad it's been a good car for ya
Hey kid........ Great review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're much better than 90% of the people out there doing car reviews.... Great voice tone, some humor, strong personality! I truly hope you go far doing reviews... maybe even a tv show appearance.... GOOD JOB!!!! I SUBSCRIBED and I'm a 58 year old , old phucker
Appreciate the feedback Ken, not as much as a kid as you may think haha
Great video !!
good quality video especially for such a small channel!
Thanks!
Awesome review 👍
Appreciate it
Great video, i got my 08 g35 partially because of you and you were right on everything and things i learned from ownership, you were spot on with
I want those 19s you got though
They aren't too bad used
Bro judging by the quality of this video i thought i was watching like 300k+ subs chanell! Brilliantly done
Thanks!
Lol it's the flywheel chatter that sounds like a cement mixer
Good video. Best of luck
Thanks!
